This is a great video! The quality is great, I loved it!
Thank you so much for watching 😊
amazing...similar to borobudur and prambanan (Jogjakarta) but Angkor was built a few hundred years after borobudur.
Been to Angkor Wat a few times but never got up early enough for that sunrise😊 I would recommend that if you visit Siem Reap’s temples for the first time that you go for that sun rise but leave immediately after to visit other attractions in the archeological park then come back to see the Angkor Wat complex in the afternoon. In late afternoon before sunset the temple also acquires this beautiful golden glow and this was also a lovely new experience for me despite having been there a number of times!
Take care and thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for the comment and recommendations! We can imagine it would definitely look amazing in the afternoon at sunset 🌅
Very nice video. The sunrise was spectacular and beautifully captured. What a stunning complex, lots to explore for sure.
Glad you enjoyed it! It was definitely great experience 😌

Before Covid, there were ton of people going to see Angkor wat temple! Beautiful sun rise behind the temple. Thank you for your visit. There’s so much more temples for you to see. By the way, Zae’s blouse is very cute and pretty.
We’re lucky to be able to see it without a huge crowd. Also, thank you so much! 💕

Wow, those temples were absolutely stunning!! So cool how all the trees were growing in and about the buildings. What a beautiful experience 🙏🏼💙
Thanks Zeee! Glad you enjoyed watching, and the temples were all definitely amazing 🤩
I never forget that morning a few yeas back. How amazing the whole scenario, so many people everywhere. It’s worth every minutes. The sunrise was unbelievable gorgeous.
There aren’t as many people now, but we saw some videos where there were thousands of people waiting for sunset. It was still an amazing experience for us nonetheless 🌅
Thank you so much for your creating this video. As a Cambodian I hope you enjoy the trips in Cambodia.

Hi again. Did you guys see the bas-reliefs? It’s the main highlight of Angkor wat. Its a long carving along the walls It’s quite amazing and exquisite.
We don’t remember seeing them specifically, but maybe 🤔
Awe man I'm sorry they complained about your camera that's so stupid! Love and appreciate your videos!
The Angkor Wat roofs connected with stones, it was the amazing engineering at that time.
Very amazing!
Good job on video, even iphone camera is good enough, I love to watch all temples n never get sick of it. On regarding of video taping I've seen other UA-camrs also mentioned, they changed the law on big cameras with microphone not permitted no more
Thank you so much ☺️
Hello i am a new sub!Can i put shorts right?wasnt sure but i saw some people having in the video. Also, i heard you can buy tickets before, isnt better?and can hire a guide for inside if alone, specially to take pics?
Hello, yes we did see people wearing shorts, they can’t be too short. We wanted to be safe and wear long pants just incase they said something.
Also, yes you can buy your tickets before hand, it’s the same price everywhere pretty much(our tuktuk driver brought us to a hotel to buy them). And yes there are tour guides waiting at the entrance of the moat asking if you’d like a tour, we over heard them say it costs $12.
Great video
Thank you!
Hello! Are there any dress code restrictions to enter the temples? Thanks
Yes, shoulders and knees must be covered
I love You brother and sister 🥰🥰🇰🇭✨💗
I AM MOVING TO CAMBODIA IN SEPTEMBER. YOUR VIDEOS HAVE BEEN REALLY HELPFUL. ALSO WHAT COMPANY DID YOU USE FOR THE TRANSPORT TO TAKE YOU TO THE TEMPLES?
We’re glad that you’re enjoying the videos and that we could help out. We used a local tuk tuk driver to bring us to the different temples, but he did not give us a tour like we mentioned in the video. Unfortunately we haven’t looked into specific companies that tour Angkor Wat, so we don’t have any suggestions.
Can we get a full 1 sec zoom on the map at the beginnings please. Maybe even spend a couple seconds talking about the map. Thx!!!
Pregnant women and children are not allowed to climb to the top of Angkor Wat due to safety reasons, not religious or cultural reasons. You could see the stairs were extremely steep. I heard some people had fallen to their death (extremely rare) before and some got injured (more frequent on the news).
Thank you for letting us know that! We assumed so but were not sure.

Where does Khmer come from?
Calling the ancient Khom (Varaman)” Khmer” does not look right because the ancient Khom is the end of the name because the Khmer people ( Mr. Sweet Melon), the slave chief who led the rebellion, killed some of their bosses and set themselves up as kings. For a long time, it was absurd to take over the temple city of Khmer slaves who could not find any reason and result at all to deceive each other in order to dispel the fact that they were the bloodline of slaves and the Khmer people could not give any reasonable answer. This is not possible at all.
- Why did slaves become kings?
- Why did the Khmer dynasty disappear from history?
Why did Lavo, the creator of Ayothaya, who was a relative or ally of Nakhon Wat, who had never fought a war, the slave rebelled and killed Khom Woraman Lavo, Ayothaya immediately raised an army to attack Nakhon Wat.
After the slavery a man called Mr. Sweet Melon became king, and Nakhon Wat progressed to collapse. Then the Khmer people could not build or repair the stone castle again. Culture declined and compared to the contemporary kingdom after Nakhon Wat "Ayothaya and the neighborhood" and Ayothaya has great buildings with high art. Each neighborhood is almost no different from the forest people hiding in a bamboo fence without any buildings comparable to Nakhon Wat. For hundreds of years, the Khmer people have been weak and defeated.
Khmer empire never existed. Angkor Wat or Pra Nakorn is indian culture and originally owned by Varman dynasty, a Thai group from Pimai, Nakornrajsima, Thailand. The Khmers originally were captured as slaves employing to move the big stones to build Angkor Wat. Later, the Khmer slaves betrayed and killed their masters, Thai Varman dynasty. The Thais in Angkor Wat moved to Ayutthaya, now the central of Thailand, to join Thais from Dvaravati and establish a new kingdom, Pra Nakorn Sri Ayutthaya, and attacked the Khmers in just 13 years. After that the Khmers became a colony of Thais for 400 years until the France came.
Why aren't you wearing a mask
It's just personal preference right now in Cambodia. Not an obligation anymore.
@@nareach.iscool I think the mask mandate is still in place
@@JJ-vy2rh Nah, not right now. But if you go in some specific places, you need to if the business ask for that.
