Pressure sensors and glow plugs don't normally fail at the same time, and NEVER when leaving the forecourt. The customer should have got the dealer to cover the repair costs.
Interesting video jimmy. There’s lots of plastic covers missing (which would worry me on a car only bought 2 days previously. Also it seemed the service light was on. Was it a trade or private sale? My wife has one of these (17 plate) it’s actually given next to no trouble. We live in the sticks & her commute to work is a 70 mile round trip with a big climb on the motorway home. Needless to say the DPF has given no trouble. It’s now got 70k on the clock & recently the FAP fluid (or whatever Renault call it) went empty. That’s the first fault it ever had on the dash.
This is common issue on these engines. The black hose just fells apart because of the temperature. It's walls first start to get thinner and at the end you see there there is a hose, but the walls are just like a paper thin and you think that everything is fine with this hose, but it is not. I like your work, but I think that would be better if you put some cloth at the turbo when you are blowing the dust from the cylinder head.
I have the same car. im having oil dilution and DFP clogged. The Differential Presurre is really high like 100mbar on idle and arround 200-400 when im on the road. i assume by your videos that this is means the dpf is clogged. If i throw some DPF clean on the entry pressure sensor, should it help a little? is it safe to throw in there? My engine does not have an upstream pressure sensor, so i can't throw the dpf cleaner through there.
Hello! I have filled the additive tank on my Volvo V70 1.6 Diesel Eco Drive (2009) and reset the level to show it as full. However, when I clear the fault code and start the car, I still get a code indicating the additive level is low, even though the program shows the tank as full.
Great video mate, have you ever worked on renault megane 2019 model by any chance because I can't find the upstream pressure sensor location or If anyone else can help me. It will be much appreciated. Thanks
Having watched you repair countless vehicles one-handed, I wonder if you could actually do it without using your hands at all.
Just unbelievable.
Having the same 1.5 dci engine I was very attentive like a student... Cheers😊😊

Jimmy you have amazing patience and perseverance to be able to squeeze your hands around the back of those 1500cc diesels
I see these faults are common in these engines. Your diagnosis was quick and professional. Thanks for sharing.

Great perseverance Jimmy, all down to a simple aul hose, the last lad just did a reset and go!
Skill at getting the electrical connectors apart is also awesome!
Feel your pain mate. I work mobile in France! French car fun everyday. Love ya work.

Oh God, I've got a captur
If I use the launch fuel additive, will it clear the system before it chokes up
What size fuel hose would you have readily available at all times? 8mm?

Delete the nox and add blue system job done no problem again .
Same engine as the qashqai
👍
if they only bought it 2 days ago from a dealer, why not take it back to them
👳🏻♂️
Purchased Two days ago! Return to the dealer... They can't keep getting away with this. It's under a warrantee.
Dealer did have it but said it was fixed. 20 miles later it came back
Depends on the dealer
So -you buy a car from a dealer which has faults, but have to take to Mr O’Riley to get it sorted? Why not go back to the dealer?
Because alot of secondhand car dealers are shady crooks tbh
You definitely don’t need a turd wiper arm 😊
