some insist that after this, you drain it out of the drain plugs...which makes no sense. why use antifreeze, if you are just going to drain it out?

I am not draining all the antifreeze, simply draining the remaining water until it turns to antifreeze.

What do you have going on there at the pylon? See the SkiBoom Clamp but almost looks like a 2nd pylon and some interesting adapter between the tow ... can you please elaborate? Thank you

It allows me to use an extended pylon for wakeboarding which the original ski ring on the stock pylon prevents. Technically the ring can be removed but due to age many of them break in the process. It also allows both the extended pylon and a barefoot boom to be installed at the same time if one was so inclined. Here is a link to where I got it

@@analoggeneration385 Thank you ... we have a 1973 Ski Nautique so has the old style pylon ... will check out your link ... we did just buy a tower that arrived today so that is our plan to install that as we can then use the extra storage as we bought the ski holder and board holders ... these little boats run out of room really fast !!!
The boom is totally cheating ... they can all get up no trouble with it ... =)
Thank you for the info !!!
