Hey Robert, this is a question that's just a search for knowledge, not a judgemental one. Didn't you say in 48 laws that if you don't conform to societal behavior that people will resent you for making them feel inferior? It contradicts the advice to be yourself.

Number 2 is the big one. Just because someone shakes your hand, smiles at you, calls you "buddy", treats you well, does NOT mean that person is going to be good for you. They may be the one who sharpens the knife, takes a stab, and goes for the jugular veins. Don't be fooled by appearances.

Yeah, and IMO if you buy into what he is saying, and I do, the most powerful people are really maybe like the top 5% of the population, which means that 95% of people are probably just wearing a mask and not in your interest despite the antics they present

Exactly, rushing for power can lead to mistakes, patience is essential in building sustainable influence. Embracing our uniqueness is important being oneself rather than imitating others because genuine power comes from being one-of-a-kind. So be happy and be yourself.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:00: Hurrying *for power leads to mistakes; sustainable power is built over time through real skills and experience. Patience is key.*
01:09: Learning *languages opens new experiences and perspectives. Babbel offers practical language learning templates and a 60% discount.*
02:35: People *often wear masks; don't take them at face value. Confidence might mask deep insecurities, so don't trust appearances blindly.*
03:32: Avoid *trying to imitate others; true power lies in uniqueness. Being replaceable comes from conformity, while being original makes you indispensable.*

I genuinely love you Robert Greene. There is something about you, that is so attractive. I am becoming so attracted to you just through a screen. WOW. You are so charming and so attractive Robert. Well, of course, it’s You. You have written the books and you are like the god of power, charm, seduction and wit to me. Would like to meet you in person SO Much Robert Greene. You are so polarizing, so attractive. I can’t stop myself from writing this. Just wow. I am going to learn how to do it myself and then just win at life. Thank you for Your Work Robert Greene. I am so grateful for it. It has frankly improved my life drastically. Thanks to it, I am even able to somewhat thrive in a world, where almost everybody is against me and at all times is scheming to destroy me. Before I started reading your Books Robert, I had big difficulties even surviving. They got me a few times and that pushed me to strive to master the 48 laws of power. Well, at first, it all was so foreign to me and I couldn’t really understand it, but after time and effort, I am doing much better. But if it wasn’t for your work, Robert, I would make so many blunders, that I would be probably already dead by now. So thank you for everything Robert, you are my hero! I think, we had very similar lives, where life pushed us, to master power. If I wouldn’t be so hurt by people, as were you, I wouldn’t ever find your books. And then read it with so much vigor, knowing my life depends on it.. Man, I cannot tell you enough… Well, and I know, Robert, I know. I just violated law number 4. Always say less than necessary. I would be more powerful, had I not written this comment. Well, I just couldn’t help it Robert. I think you just seduced me right here. Wow. You are so powerful, that you just seduced me in 4 minutes through my iphone screen. Wow. I love you Robert Greene. And I am a hererosexual male… Well, I don’t love you sexually, but I love you, you know Robert Greene.
