How can something be a masterpiece if its boring, doesn't that make this kind of redundant? when I say a movie is boring I don't say; well its a good movie but its boring, it's either one of the other lol. If I found a movie boring then its in no way a masterpiece to begin with. I think Blade Runner is a masterpiece I agree, but if I thought it was boring I wouldn't class it as such, it would just be boring... Maybe if you said Masterpieces that are slow to get into, or slow paced master pieces, because I could agree with that, boring is a pretty large criticism.

It may have taken 12 years to make but that doesn't make it a good movie. It could be considered as an interesting project or achievement but not a good movie.
Noah White oh im sure if u asked one particular demographic back in the 1940s , they would have no problem telling u Gone With The Wind was racist even then
+Bender B. Rodriguez Well, considering many of the people commenting on here are thoroughly butthurt due to this list... I'd say your comment is pretty inaccurate.

+thedeerhunter32 well some of those "mindless" movies are still revolutionary... it's all about what you mean by revolutionary... in some sense twilight was significant to cinema in a smaller scale, does it make it good, nope
+thedeerhunter32 well some of those "mindless" movies are still revolutionary... it's all about what you mean by revolutionary... in some sense twilight was significant to cinema in a smaller scale, does it make it good, nope
Boyhood IS boring. It's a pretentious diagram of angsty platitudes under the guise of experimental filmmaking. Mason is simply one of the most boring, listless, unremarkable protagonists to have ever existed. He is legendary among my friends; we have fun doing impressions of him and his annoying drawl. The only difference between us is that I don't care that it took 12 years to make. That was a stunt and that's all there is to it. And no. I don't like Transformers either.
@@scraps992 I hear way more people saying "Ooh Woop-De-Do they made it over 12 years" than people who actually say that it's a masterpiece because it's made over 12 years. Fuck that. It's a masterpiece because it perfectly reflects the seamless, flowing passage of time in our own lives whilst giving us real, ever-developing characters, a soundtrack that fits the time period to a tee and brilliant camera work to top it off. The movie makes you realize how one thing just flows into another and another and then sooner or later (now) you're in college or have a job and it always feels premature. An 100 on Metacritic doesn't mean nothing. I respect you're opinion though, kind of. Here's Mark Kermode's review: ua-cam.com/video/y6J2g4LX7sg/v-deo.html
When I first watched 2001: A Space Odyssey, I became bored immediately and didn’t get on why it’s been regarded as one of the greatest movies of all time but after seeing a list of someone having it in their top ten, decided to give it a go for a second time and it became one of my favorites.
KnifingGame Well, it requires some knowledge about American politics and catching the conflict early in the movie, which should not be that hard. As soon as I did that, I loved the movie The music is also wonderful, as well as the art direction, and Daniel Day-Lewis always caught my attention. The voting was also surprisingly suspenseful
It's a shame that more great films like Giant, Casablanca, Blade runner ETC but they won't be viewed because people today have a attention span of a 4yr no matter what age they are. Why people why? Your iq Is dropping by the minute especially if you watch a Michele bay movie
+AnEpicMelons I agree with you. I think the problem is that nowadays directors think they need explosions, poop jokes and ridiculous amount of CGI...depending of the genre. Thus such classics which don't have all those things (and don't need them) won't be watched by many people nowadays. :(
+AnEpicMelons I first thought you meant the 4 year life span of a normal replicant (Even though i have not watched the whole thing but plan to tommorow when the blu rays i ordered including it, which is the 30th anniversary edition with all versions. That means i can watch final cut first and then the voice over).
"Giant" is amazing. It deserves far more love than it gets, Plenty of people are capable of watching "The Return of the King", which is 241 minutes long; so watching these other films, such as "Gone With The Wind", should be no problem.

I just couldn't get into it. It's full of elongated, tedious dialogue and is about an hour too long. The ending is so underwhelming after all that dialogue!
+BarronBrothersFilms I had to watch it in a high school film class. So boring, made me nod off to sleep at times. I just don't get it, I have no whim to ever see it again.
+BarronBrothersFilms It felt moot to me. I just wasn't pulled in. Call me simpleminded, but I think largely because of the culture difference, it's difficult for me to become immersed in the film because I can't empathize with the characters. They are so far removed from anything I've ever encountered that they may as well be speaking Greek. I definitely appreciate what the film has accomplished and I respect how others feel about it, but I don't feel obligated to enjoy it simply because it's classic. That's disingenuous and unnecessary.
+Michael Napoli There's so many more choices now then when a lot of these came out. In the 40's I'd be so psyched to see a 4 Hr movie because radio, reading, and playing with your ding-a-ling was all there was to do!

I don't watch many movies from the 1940's but I've seen Casablanca and think it holds up just fine to this day. I found the plot and pace of the movie kept my interest as I was watching it.
I completely agree. What is it about those not very long films that are boring. I didn't think any scene dragged on for too long and the dialogue in both films were so engaging that I was in for a treat.
Seems like WatchMojo thought that movies with "long dialogues" are boring to a modern audience, which is totally not true. Bad list and bad concept for a list.
I genuinely don't understand how anyone could think Lawrence Of Arabia is boring. It feels so epic and grand in scale. It makes you feel like you had a big adventure just by watching it.
@@poopie870 It changed the face of the sci-fi genre forever. Yes it is slow, but the fact that they made it look a lot like space without the knowledge they have today or even cgi, it is pretty ground breaking. Yes it is slow but definitely not overated. And don't forget that iconic music score! 🔥
@@poopie870 Just because it's slow doesn't make it overated. A great film requires great cinematography, acting, music score, script, lighting, story etc. This movie has all of this which makes it great. Sure, it's not my favourite movie ever but nobody can deny it was groundbreaking in its day which led to the creation of many great sci-fi movies today. Christopher Nolan even praised this film as it gave him inspiration for Interstellar. Anyway, if you think this is overated, I'd like to hear what kind of movies you would call great.
@@poopie870 In my opinion pacing is a personal preference and doesn't make a film overrated if it's drawn out, but it's your opinion. OK, name me some great movies you like with good pacing. I'm throwing in The Godfather Part I and II, Goodfellas, Apocalypse Now, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, A Fistful of Dollars.
Here's the thing, just because a movie is well written, well acted, and well shot, doesn't mean it CAN'T be boring. A movie can have nearly all of the qualities of a good film but not be very stimulating. Some films can have too much downtime or just in general nothing exciting happening.
+The Fumbo Muffin 😂yea cause watchmojo deserves any mercy. they called freakin blade runner boring. im guessing you arent a film critic. and you say we are used to tons of action movie but name 10 in the last couple of years
Yes, nothing really happens, dialogue is childish and pointless and not deep, even the visuals were not as groundbreaking as they say, Alien and Star wars were already out
People who found Blade Runner boring are those who believe all the movies about Star Wars are the greatest movies ever because of lightsaber fights and explosions. And they had no trouble staying awake for the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Look, here's the thing. If you are looking for entertainment from that movie, then it definitely will feel boring. 2001 was created only for art purpose. You need a more patient audience for that, which is very rare today.
Worst list in Watchmojo's history... 2001 isn't boring if you actually are interested in film. Casablanca just isn't boring, period. It's excellent and has an intriguing plot. Close Encounters of the Third Kind is one of my favorite Science Fiction films of all time and tackles an interesting idea very originally. Blade Runner is a masterpiece that is also very interesting. None of the movies you listed are boring. Are you guys running out of ideas?
+Will Dibbs "None of the movies you listed are boring." TO YOU, how much you enjoy something is subjective. The films you mentioned are objectively masterpiece's in how well made they are BUT someone may just not enjoy the movie hence why it may come off as boring.
+Jack SV I find it odd that they put these films in lists for "The Best Movies of [insert genre]", or even all time, and now they are saying that these movies are boring.
This is exactly how I feel about timeless classics like birth of a nation, gone with the wind and citizen kane. All needed a watch from me. But just one. Lol. That's all I can possibly give.
@@marvincorre4783 It's just bad. Birth of a nation is an embarrassment to film. Can you believe its in the library of congress. Shows that America has bad taste and was never great. America is Racist and it still is.

Everyone has their own views. But a movie wouldn't be a masterpiece if it was booring. It depends on the person, the movies i watched on this list i found them amazing especially ghandi
+Idris Mandhu Na, a masterpiece can be boring just like a masterpiece painting can be boring. What makes a masterpiece has more to do with the craft then it does with enjoyment.
+Idris Mandhu "Everyone has their own views." THATS why masterpiece's can be boring because although it has been well received by others, other people may have found it boring. Example I found blade runner, the star wars franchise and the godfather franchise and citizen kane to be "boring" BUT they are critically acclaimed masterpiece's.
+John Klein but if it's fails to keep it's audience... isn't it bad pacing? I personally like most of thies movies so it doesn't bother me, but audiences were different at that time from now... so should our perception on a good paced movie change too?
Yeah that’s preposterous id rather watch Casablanca any day than Citizen Kane any day. Casablanca is easily the most quoted movie behind The Godfather. I found it be interesting.
2001: A Space Odyssey is incredible, and I could see how it changed movies forever back when it released...... ......but God damn it can be like watching paint dry.
Yes to "Lincoln" (2012). I love history, but that film finally made me realize what all the other kids in school hated in learning about it. The dialogue was as dry as unbuttered toast, the pacing was awful, and most of all, there was no mystery to the story's outcome. We know slavery was abolished, so there was noting left to wonder about, and the screenwriter didn't give us anything in place of suspense. I hate to use this as a positive example, but at least in "Titanic" we delved into the historical and fictional characters' lives to make up for the fact that we knew the ship was going to sink. "Lincoln" felt like an insufferably long documentary as opposed to a historical drama made for the general public.
To be honest, for me,sitting down and attempting to relaxing while watching a movie in general is frustratingly boring. In fact, because I'm autistic,I have a frequent habit of getting up from my seat and walking around to talk to myself, even when I'm eating at the table,or simply attempting to sit down comfortably. If you think watching these good movies is boring, you'd be forgiven for not knowing what it's like to feel uncomfortable sitting down and not doing much without getting up at random times and having to be told to sit down because of the time it is for me to eat or watch a movie with the family.
Sorry, watchmojo, but Gone with the wind had me on the edge of my seat, it's beautifully dramatic and over the top to beat any drama, and by the time I was upset the movie was bound to end, I found out there were plenty more... Perfection in my book. Those movies are not boring, they just need a certain mood and a certain mindset to watch them, but once you do, you feel happy you did for the rest of your life.
I've noticed that in older films there are awkward silences or unessary dialog, it kind of makes them hard to watch, even if their story is very captivating.
People who think that Blade Runner and Close Encounters of the Third Kind are boring probably consider Adam Sandler and Transformers movies masterpieces.
"Top 10 Masterpieces that are boring to those who have short attention spans and struggle to figure out shit when it isn't blatantly spelt out for you" AKA people who enjoy recent adam sandler movies and michael bay
Anyone who simply uses the term "boring" as a means of justifying why they think a film isn't good might as well just keep their opinion to themselves.
see that's the problem with movies today. these great films are labeled boring because they don't contain explosions, swearing, sex or nudity every 5 minutes. so instead of that, great writing, acting, filming all that is shunned because some people can't concentrate long enough.
A movie can't be boring and a masterpiece at the same time. If a movie fails to interest you than it fails entirely. This is just another click bait title. But you got me WM, you got me.
Boring? Are you guys serious? In my opinion, Boyhood isn't boring. Blade Runner isn't boring. Brokeback Mountain isn't boring. 2001: A Space Odyssey isn't boring. Dead Man Walking isn't boring. The problem is that you guys prefer those Michael Bay, Steven Segal movies. A movie with a crappy plot, writing, acting and nothing but crazy action.
It depends how u watch the movie when I first watched 2001 I found it boring but when you watch it again you already know what is coming, since space odyssey also came out in 1968, I think it was trying to show you space first then tell the story.
This list is like a 11 year old, complaining how these movies aren't Michael Bay explosion fests. It's really childish and stupid to say that movie isn't good because it has an actual plot, philosophy, long dialogue or it's otherwise slow paced. All movies on this list are more entertaining to me than those mindless Michael Bay cashgrabs that Watchmojo likes to praise.
+Jesus Christ Maybe relax on the harsh language? But anyway, you're correct in that the first two movies weren't Star Wars. The first was like... a generic action flick. Kill me, but it was like a space opera Bond without the intrigue or anything that makes it interesting. The second prequel was largely written like political thriller with wooden acting by 90% of the cast. I thought it was cool as a kid but rewatching it, Hayden Christensen was a massive casting mistake (among many others) and the emotion wasn't there. The third got closer, but again the acting brought it down. The attachment to the Anakin-Padme relationship and depth they could have given to the clones was not provided. They were just cooler storm troopers with a bitter aftertaste. Side note: Belated Media made a few videos suggesting alternate paths they could have taken with all three and having watched those videos, I can hardly enjoy any of the prequels at all.
The Empire Strikes back is the most boringest Star Wars, there's no explosions and it's just a muppet teaching a kid to train and a boring light saber fight.
i think yall misunderstand this list, they mean a majority of modern viewers might think these masterpieces are boring cuz they are used to watching mcu and disney star wars and fast and furious that these movies might not look as interesting and they might find it boring given its slow pace and complex characters and script compared to the modern movies where they give you everything while these movies make you think and make you figure out the meaning for yourself
Into this category I would add SCHINDLER'S LIST. Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson were both superb in their roles but the movie itself was a complete bore.
Using the word boring to describe a movie for me it's not a serious cinema talk...using it to talk about masterpieces makes things even worst...good one watchmojo ;)
Mad Max Fury Road was boring. Yes, I get it: You appreciate it being over the top action and it not spoonfeeding you exposition like many blockbusters but I didn't care about any of the characters and action at all.

+Frederick Core Wow, you're a better man than me Gunga Din.
2001 is in my opinion the quintisential sci fi story. i love it :D it was so revolutionary for its time
+Frederick Core lucky you, I tried to watch it so many times but never crossed the 40 minutes mark because I slept every single time xD One day... one day...
I did
I respect it, and understand its greatness. But I can't manage to watch it in its entirety or without fast forwarding.
I agree with you and on Blade Runner, that film was ahead of its time and now it's Cult Film Masterpiece
+Ellthom
Aragorn: “If by my life or death I can protect you, I will. You have my sword…
Legolas: …and you have my bow…
Gimli: …and my axe.”
Me: ... and my like!
+Ellthom If you only think film is for entertainment then you would think this. Grow up.
+Ellthom meh all movies can be some kind of boring..I can´t watch Star wars 4 to the end but its not a bad movie :D
+Ellthom makes sense since "boring" and "masterpiece" is subjective to a film. for example i might call Predator a masterpiece because to me it's an awesome film and one of my favorites but someone else might disagree.
im sorry WatchMojo, were you trying to commit suicide? this list is purely offensive to anyone who loves cinema.
Boring only for the "Fast and furoius" audience
Fast and furious is shit and boring
Totally agree that shit is fucking boring

+Trolli Jolli How do you close a TV?
I'm sorry, did you call Boyhood a "masterpiece"?
+Nikita Kress People are calling it a masterpiece because it took 12 years to make more then likely. I'm still wondering if people would like it as much if it took a normal amount of time to make.
Did you know it took 12 years to make
Boyhood is a piece of shit, if it weren't over 12 years no one would have even thought once about it being a "masterpiece".
+Kane Morris That doesn't make it a masterpiece. Duke Nukem Forever took 14 years to make and it was abysmal.
It may have taken 12 years to make but that doesn't make it a good movie. It could be considered as an interesting project or achievement but not a good movie.
Frankly watchmojo i dont give a damn! .......Xd

+Bender B. Rodriguez
Well, considering many of the people commenting on here are thoroughly butthurt due to this list... I'd say your comment is pretty inaccurate.
+Bender B. Rodriguez Most of those type of movies are actually massive outside of the US especially in Asia and casual movie watchers will actually find the movies in this list boring..I mean FFS a lot of these 'boring' movies were intended for American audiences which is not uniform
If they are boring then why they have considered as masterpieces?
a better title would be slow paced movie
+Michael Snow but in some cases should it be considered a flaw? if it fails to keep it's audience... well audience has changed and so did movies and our view on them..
Because before mindless superhero movies, these were revolutionary works of art...although Boyhood hasn't been around long enough to be a masterpiece. But most of these are great contributions to cinema and are so often written on by scholars, acknowledging their significance in so many forms.
+thedeerhunter32 well some of those "mindless" movies are still revolutionary... it's all about what you mean by revolutionary... in some sense twilight was significant to cinema in a smaller scale, does it make it good, nope

Who ever thinks Boyhood, Casablanca and Citizen Kane are boring are the same people that will tell you the transformer movies are masterpieces.
You are an idiot
What's your problem ? Go fuck yourself
BC they are
@@scraps992 I hear way more people saying "Ooh Woop-De-Do they made it over 12 years" than people who actually say that it's a masterpiece because it's made over 12 years.
Here's Mark Kermode's review:
ua-cam.com/video/y6J2g4LX7sg/v-deo.html
When I first watched 2001: A Space Odyssey, I became bored immediately and didn’t get on why it’s been regarded as one of the greatest movies of all time but after seeing a list of someone having it in their top ten, decided to give it a go for a second time and it became one of my favorites.
I watched 2001: A Space Odyssey for the first time a few days ago, was blown away at how good it looked. Couldn't believe it was made in the 60's.

So these are the films considered boring? One more reason for me to watch them.
Lincoln is not even a masterpiece to begin with...
+Vito Corleone Agree, way to overrated
You just didn't understand the conflict
+StrasbergProtégé What a great argument.
"This movie is bad"
"You just don't understand it!"
KnifingGame
Well, it requires some knowledge about American politics and catching the conflict early in the movie, which should not be that hard. As soon as I did that, I loved the movie
The music is also wonderful, as well as the art direction, and Daniel Day-Lewis always caught my attention. The voting was also surprisingly suspenseful
StrasbergProtégé Yes, but if someone doesn't like it, you can't just assume they didn't get it...
It's a shame that more great films like Giant, Casablanca, Blade runner ETC but they won't be viewed because people today have a attention span of a 4yr no matter what age they are. Why people why? Your iq Is dropping by the minute especially if you watch a Michele bay movie
4yr old*
+AnEpicMelons I agree with you.
+Highretrogamelord only a few directors try it nowadays like S.S , Q.T , D.C etc
"Giant" is amazing. It deserves far more love than it gets, Plenty of people are capable of watching "The Return of the King", which is 241 minutes long; so watching these other films, such as "Gone With The Wind", should be no problem.

How could anyone in their right mind find Citizen Kane boring?
People who take all cinematic techniques and movie aspects for granted
I just couldn't get into it. It's full of elongated, tedious dialogue and is about an hour too long. The ending is so underwhelming after all that dialogue!
+BarronBrothersFilms I had to watch it in a high school film class. So boring, made me nod off to sleep at times. I just don't get it, I have no whim to ever see it again.
it's pretty boring best movie of all time my ass...
What a bunch of haters....YES, these movies ARE FUCKING BORING!!!!

What I learned today, modern audiences have little to no patience.
I learned that a long time ago (Not to brag or anything, it's just that it's not very surprising)

Casablanca is not boring!!! Citizen Kane is not boring! The films aren't even over two hours long. They shouldn't even be eligible
I completely agree. What is it about those not very long films that are boring. I didn't think any scene dragged on for too long and the dialogue in both films were so engaging that I was in for a treat.
So if a good movie doesn't have things blow up or guts spilled everywhere it's boring?
Seems like WatchMojo thought that movies with "long dialogues" are boring to a modern audience, which is totally not true. Bad list and bad concept for a list.
+Jarvis Morris I'm not saying action needs to happen, but sometimes long dialogues are tedious. I couldn't deal with Citizen Kane.
long meaningless dialogues are boring
I genuinely don't understand how anyone could think Lawrence Of Arabia is boring. It feels so epic and grand in scale. It makes you feel like you had a big adventure just by watching it.
How about "slow paced"? Then I could agree with most of that list.
I definitely like that word better
This should be called "10 Masterpieces You Have To Watch"
I'm throwing in The Godfather Part I and II, Goodfellas, Apocalypse Now, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, A Fistful of Dollars.
it's not that these films are boring, it's that today's audiences have the attention span of a goldfish.
Especaiilay gen Z kids
my elder sister has the worst attention span than me.She found Top Gun Maverick,La La Land and Knives Out boring
Here's the thing, just because a movie is well written, well acted, and well shot, doesn't mean it CAN'T be boring. A movie can have nearly all of the qualities of a good film but not be very stimulating. Some films can have too much downtime or just in general nothing exciting happening.

Blade Runner boring? WTF
@@johnbrowne3950 agreed with you until you bashed lord of the rings
@@dc33c I didn't really bash LofThe Rings. I just found it boring. I would have never read those books, I loved the first Star Wars.

I don't think 2001 was boring at all. I could watch it over and over forever and not be bored. I was gobsmacked.
You deserve the monkey
I liked it too, it was a visual feast, I see many thought it was boring though
Look, here's the thing. If you are looking for entertainment from that movie, then it definitely will feel boring. 2001 was created only for art purpose. You need a more patient audience for that, which is very rare today.
I think it's kind of the trademark from many Kubrick movies. They often happen to be silent because they say too much with hardly any dialogue.
Even the monkey part?
I actually found Boyhood to be extremely engaging. It honestly didn't feel like 3 hours at all to me.
Is boring as fuck, deal with it. It's their opinion.

StrasbergProtégé AFI, Time Magazine, and National Film Registry regard Dancer In the Dark as a classic? Really? I mean really? Even if true I have to ask so what?
Fnord Prefect
They have a lot more credibility than you have. You really think anyone will take you seriously with statements like "Absolutely mindblowingly dreadful"?
My immediate reaction is "Bad for you, but nobody cares"
And I mentioned "Casablanca", not "Dancer in the Dark"

Wtf, Blade Runner wasn't boring at all!
It is to me
2001: A Space Odyssey is incredible, and I could see how it changed movies forever back when it released......
......but God damn it can be like watching paint dry.
If you can't handle Kubrick & abuse Citizen Kane like that then GTFO.
"Lincoln" felt like an insufferably long documentary as opposed to a historical drama made for the general public.
but A Lincoln vampire hunter is great
To be honest, for me,sitting down and attempting to relaxing while watching a movie in general is frustratingly boring.
Boring? Are you shitting me? Lawrence of Arabia is far from boring.

Aren't masterpieces always awsome, if something is boring it's not a masterpiece.
Incorrect
Depends on the audience
Anyone who simply uses the term "boring" as a means of justifying why they think a film isn't good might as well just keep their opinion to themselves.
see that's the problem with movies today. these great films are labeled boring because they don't contain explosions, swearing, sex or nudity every 5 minutes. so instead of that, great writing, acting, filming all that is shunned because some people can't concentrate long enough.
Can they really be masterpieces if they're boring.
Masterpiece and perfect aren't the same thing...
Citizen Kane is not boring.

Blade Runner is boring? wot
How dare you put "Blade Runner" on this list?
What the hell is the comment section bitching about, 2001: a space odyssey, blade runner among others are great movies but they're undeniably boring.
It depends how u watch the movie when I first watched 2001 I found it boring but when you watch it again you already know what is coming, since space odyssey also came out in 1968, I think it was trying to show you space first then tell the story.
Ikr, and I do like those films
@@jesseanyanwu7639 Same with The Shining and a lot of other Stanley Kubrick films, though not Full Metal Jacket.
you guys do realise that being boring and good isnt technically possible...right?
This list is like a 11 year old, complaining how these movies aren't Michael Bay explosion fests. It's really childish and stupid to say that movie isn't good because it has an actual plot, philosophy, long dialogue or it's otherwise slow paced. All movies on this list are more entertaining to me than those mindless Michael Bay cashgrabs that Watchmojo likes to praise.
I'm surprised they didn't include "Star Wars"
Star Wars isn't boring, shit dick . . . well apart from the first two prequels, but I think as a whole, but they don't count.
***** And some opinions are fucking stupid. Like yours, feller :D
+Apex Predator In what way could SW be boring?...
How the hell is Casablanca in any way shape or form boring? I mean I could see how someone would dislike it but to think it’s boring
Blade runner was not boring
The Empire Strikes back is the most boringest Star Wars, there's no explosions and it's just a muppet teaching a kid to train and a boring light saber fight.
+NateBuckelew Shut up, go back to watching those Michael Bay transformer flicks. Pretentious jerk.
+Billy the MLG quickscoper I was being sarcastic.
NateBuckelew Oh ok, I guess I missunderstood ua then.
by definition this doesn't make sense
i think yall misunderstand this list, they mean a majority of modern viewers might think these masterpieces are boring cuz they are used to watching mcu and disney star wars and fast and furious that these movies might not look as interesting and they might find it boring given its slow pace and complex characters and script compared to the modern movies where they give you everything while these movies make you think and make you figure out the meaning for yourself
Into this category I would add SCHINDLER'S LIST. Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson were both superb in their roles but the movie itself was a complete bore.
I'm predicting 2001: A Space Odyssey as #1.
