Do you have core? After 1.8V core voltage comes on. If core voltage is available then you will have to trace from the power good signal of the controller. Do you have a boardview and schematics for any 3080?
@@GraphicsCardRepairs-tk7ql Yes I have boardview but not from Asus specifically, change the IC GS9216 that controls pex, but I think the damage is in that area, because I have the 1.8v but I do not have 1.3 in any of the 4 coils, but in the 18 core phase I have it at 0.8 only in 6 phases, at some point I turn it on and I have all the voltages in the 18 phases 0.8v and the 4 phases 1.3v, I turn it off and turn it back on, the voltages go away Thanks for your response 👍

Hello boss! Thanks for your informative video! I want to ask you something: What are the chances of a card like this (a MSI suprimX RTX 3080) that has 1.8V and Memory short to ground? (When plugged all the voltages are present except PEX and even the shorted 1.8V rail and Memory Rail have the required voltages). Do you think the Core is alive or dead? (the core heats up normally when I plug it in a computer but the card isn't detected). This card had artifacts at first and someone reflowed it and I think the balls under some ram chips are shorted because it had sparks near the top RGB connector and some ram chips overheated (back then the card was still detected with code 43). Sorry for taking your time boss! ☺☺
In this case you will first have to use the thermal camera and check when applied 1.8V voltage injection which memory is lighting up. Do the same by injecting voltage on memory. Reball or replace the memory that lights up. if only core is lighting up then you will have to remove the core and measure resistance on 1.8V pads on the core. if no short reball and that should fix the issue. If short is still there core is dead. If no reflow was done it was safe to assume that core is dead.
Hi Sir i have RX480 when i power the card sometime phase coils have pulse sometimes not...why?its is a problem or phase controller chip or mosfet driver ic?
So is the GPU not detected? If sometimes the pulse is missing then check the driver IC. Maybe it's failing. How did you check the pulse. Did you use an oscilloscope? Also check the controller. These are tricky ones and difficult to pinpoint without the GPU.
I would suggest you run memory tests for AMD first. Check if there are any memory errors. If you are getting a red display after the driver installs there may be memory errors as well.
I have a question I put the original grey thermal pads on my 6800xt that came with the heat sink on the vrams = the square parts of the pcb, now it boots up but turns into a black screen so I clean it with 99% rubbing alcohol and toothbrush the vrams that has the original grey thermal pads that came with the heatsink that got stuck on the vrams pcb part and remove the original grey thermal pads and now the gpu doesn't boot up no matter how many times I press the power button on the motherboard, so I put the pcb inside uncooked rice to dry out the rubbing alcohol for couple days so my question is, is it short circuit dead or is there a chance to make it work
99% rubbing alcohol is non conductive. So it will not cause any short. Secondly it evaporates instantly. In my video you may have seen I literally pour quite an amount to clean the flux. Sotl that is not the cause of the issue. I have a few questions. Are the fans spinning? If yes check the caps on the PCIE of the GPU. Maybe it is not getting detected.
No the fans are not spinning on the gpu connected to motherboard pcie slot 1 and the same on slot 2 when I press the power button on the motherboard = the lights are on on the motherboard but if I press the power button = no power to post = no signal but if I try with a rx 580 the motherboard turns on with that card connected
Yea that's what I got when I put the original grey thermal pads on the vram on left and right side so I put lots of rubbing alcohol on a tooth brush not pouring the rubbing alcohol on the pcb and clean it by brushing the vrams after that no power so should leave it in bag of uncooked rice or re clean it again with rubbing alcohol

In the 30 series core voltage is not dependent on PEX.
So which voltage is missing
