I like seeing it as well! Pain in the butt to film it though! I'd like to get some kind of cool find via UV light scanning. More than scorpions anyway..
@@camplapidary but I like the fact that scorpions light up like that at night lol. Better to see them before you get to near them! They do use them on Lake Superior to find rocks at night.
Honestly, I've had the best luck just walking about looking at the ground. I saw another video recently where a guy was a little north of the big pits. He was finding the amethyst geodes. I'd love to collect some nice ones there.
@@camplapidary What is the best route going North to the Geode beds coming from Topaz Mt. there is a West Side Road and a East side road . South of Topaz Mt. I have taken the East before and West in 2005 have no clue what the road are like today.
From the spot where I camped, if you follow the road a little north there are some digging areas. That is where the guy said he was and got the amethyst geode. I'm not sure of the exact spot.
I always take the west side road of the Thomas Range. It's fine but rough. I think the east side road might be nicer but I have never taken it. I think the west side road offers more adventure.
Wow! They’re both incredibly beautiful and very scary at the same time! Truly beautiful gifts from Mother Earth! 🪨🪨🪨
I think the Dugway Geodes won this round. UV Beast did illuminate very well though! :D
It is fasxinating how different rocks and minerals color under UV! Never get tired of seeing it!

Nice. That looks fun. Gonna have to plan a trip now that I can drive again
October is a good time of year to go, long as it's not muddy or recent snow.
There’s no talking but we got some weird drums for u !!!!! 👀🤣
@@anthonymctigue4206 it’s true!
Where did you go West, East, South, North of the big hole the guy from delta dug out 40ft deep in 2003.
