Using Mocha to isolate the card before using 3D Camera tracker on that layer is a genius way of making a camera track on a static shot. Nice one!!!

Well explained, thank you for the tips and tricks.. I've repeated the whole effect by just expoting the camera positions to 3ds max and create the card animation in it in real 3d animation and reloaded it over the after effect comp.. Worked like a charm .. Love your channel

This is mindblowing. I've been looking for a clear and in-depth video.One only issue is how inconsistent the naming of comps is. The organization was kind of all over the place. I got all my comps mixed up afterward but figured it out.
I registered in your course 3 weeks ago, feeling better with AE, much better than before, this video still a little of advanced for me but I think with more time in AE and your course will get it. Good luck..

Yeah totally, if you added a 3D element it would be manipulated by the 3D camera. Go for it!

By 6:05 I have no Masks layer underneath the original video. Only Effects and Transform? How can i subtract it.

I am not able to Drag the Duplicates On the Duplicates holding alt/option.... Please help
Make sure you first select layer in the timeline, then drag the layer from the project while holding alt/option.

i track in mocha and check it all using the surface grid, so its a perfect track, but when i add the camera and solid it doesn't quite stay on the surface of the hard drive properly and gets little bits not looking right and sticking out and not keeping the right perspective???? What am I doing wrong?
Hey alex. I was going through the same problem, it's actually really simple. Just turn on the motion blur on the holder layers
I'm also experiencing the same issue. (follow up) Mocha tracking was the issue. When tracking using Mocha, we have to make sure in the Tracking area to select Perspective if holding and tilting the camera. Also, if tracking is still a challenge, increasing the Min % Pixel Used will help.
I am facing only one problem..that when ever i do the mocha mask ..the track camera wont work
Make sure your on the latest version, there was a bug in older versions. You can also adjust the settings within mocha, head to their website to get more insight into this. Also, make sure the mask is correctly positioned, and the right track details have been selected.
