    What a beautiful custom job! I’m working on a paint faded 2006 now, and this is very inspiring.

    Nice touches, interesting color choice. My 05 SpeedMaster is so much fun I intend to keep her even when I get a new bike. Thanks for sharing your vision

    Love your bike, especially the colour. I remember when the America first came out I thought that it had potential for customization. I don't remember ever having seen one until yours! Good job! Very well done.

      In fact, I might begin looking for a nice one for myself!

      Hi almost sold it earlier this year actually to buy a Harley but changed my mind last minute. But everything has a price :-)

      Thanks for your kind words. I've pretty much gone through the whole bike from front to back, top to bottom.

      Duncan: I'm way out here in the Great White North (Vancouver BC). I have no way to see it in person, or to test ride it, otherwise I would be very interested (depending on your price, of course). Your America is very well done. It's funky and unique, too. We see very few around this neck of the woods.
      Harley have really upped their game, but if you are looking at the Sportster line, I really think you would be better off with a new Speedmaster or Bobber IMO. In fact, I plan to purchase a new Speedmaster myself in the early spring (I'm hoping they'll come out with a Speedmaster Black model). I love the new Soft-tail Harleys, but they are a little out of my budget comfort zone, and they are a bit too big for a geezer like me to push around. Having said that, the Heritage Soft-tail in that matte iron red with the big motor is awfully cool. I'm curious to know which Hog you fancy?

      Hi, thanks for your kind words. Mine is actually an America. I've pretty much gone through the bike from front to back making changes. Originally it was black with loads of chrome & all set up for two touring with the bags & everything. It's had a few different looks over the years. Lol. The colour is VW Mango Green, used by VW on the old split screen campervans, beetles & karmann ghias back in the 50's, 60's & early 70'sIf you have facebook it's worth paying a visit to the Speedmaster page...

    I am in love with this color! My 2006 America is red.I am about to start customizing mine after 6 months of owning it. By chance have you noticed or heard of anyone with an oil leak problem? Mine has been running a lot of oil out of what I assume is the crankcase breather that runs under the bike. A LOT of oil

    Absolutely beautiful! Where did you get those rims? I have an 07 Speedy that would look great in those shoes! Great job my friend you have every reason to be proud of her.

      They are original Triumph wheels from an early Triumph America. I stripped them down, had the rims/hubs blasted & powder coated, then I polished the stainless steel spokes, re-laced the wheels & fitted new bearings. I think they looks loads better than the standard mag wheels that were on mine originally mate.

    Is that a Maverick Customs seat? How's it go on longer rides, if at all how long till your ass starts feeling sore? Thanks

    • @duncangray9339
      @duncangray9339  7 років тому

      Yes, Maverick Customs lowrider seat. I've done about 300 miles straight with no problems whatsoever. I find it more comfortable than the standard America riders seat. Because of the sculpture of the seat it allows you to adjust your posture more & sit further back if you want to mate.

      Cletus R it's a maverick seat looks fantastic I've got one after a while feels like someone's booted a snooker ball up yo ass that's the only problem

      Kerry Dangerfield ah that was my concern, i do some big rides and was worried about comfort :/ Thanks for the heads up

    • @duncangray9339
      @duncangray9339  7 років тому +1

      Hi Cletus, personally I find it really comfortable even after a few hours in the saddle. Everybodies arse is different I suppose. Lol :-)

    • @ManKidRides
      @ManKidRides 7 років тому

      Duncan Gray thanks also for the feedback. I regularly do some pretty big rides consisting of 2-3hr stints in the saddle before breaks. Starting at 4am and going through sometimes as late as 2am. So I'm concerned my big fat arse needs decent padding and good ergonomics or else these 800km+ trips would be torture especially on some of the rough country roads i frequent. Seeing that little bare bones seat makes me nervous, but it's good to hear it's not one sided in the comfort reviews :)

    Are those BC pipes?

    • @duncangray9339
      @duncangray9339  6 років тому

      No, they are basically the same as Emgo cocktail shakers, I got them from Classic Bike Sop in Redditch, UK. They were chrome originally but I blacked them out.
