As an ex Mooney pilot that hasn't flown for many years, I was hoping you would have talked us through all the steps in the pattern: tapped the brakes before retracting gear, when you reduced the prop/rpm and to what value, throttle reduction/manifold pressure, at what point you put the gear down, adjusted trim and flaps, throttle, turned on boost pump, landing lights, when you turned base. Making minor throttle adjustments based on your sense of altitude... that sort of thing. Enjoyed the video though. Thanks for posting this.
Nice landing and beautiful plane. I’m curious, are other pilots good about flying safe and using the radio at Linden? All my flying has been out of CDW, but eventually I want to get a Mooney and base it at Linden since I live in Brooklyn.
The helicopters are up and down all day long and a bit nutty, but they're not the ones you need to worry about. It's the fixed-wing pilots I end up having issues with. See: ua-cam.com/video/4iHFtbiocEs/v-deo.html That said, I've had Caldwell Tower turn their traffic right into me that I had to avoid... so this stuff can happen anywhere.
@@Mooney201er unfortunately like driving in the city, our skies are overcrowded and full of wreck less people. Your close call with the Cirrus is unbelievable (especially their turn to base after seeing you). Glad that everything worked out.
Nice, mike!
Is the guy with the Sky Raider still based at Linden? He also had a T-6. His name was Mike.
Child seat!

Thanks for your suggestion! I was thinking of doing this and now you’ve given me another reason to fly.
Lets Go Brandon.
I'll bet you grease it on "ALL" the time.
