i feel like, since lilith was so independant and capable the parents kinda stopped "caring" about her after a certain age. its terrible but it happens...:'/
Indeed, parents forget even if a child is independent they still want to know their parents actually care about them. Thinking otherwise just develops a complex, and that's never healthy.
It seems like it, they may have thought keeping after her like they did Eda, would have regressed that independence or that she didn't need it because she was so self sufficient at such a young age, not realizing that it only served to make Lilith feel like she was not good enough for her parents attention like Eda was

It happens so often, isn’t it a wonder movies and shows where the “independent child” becomes evil and jealous is so relatable?
It was still no excuse for her actions. Let's not forget. She cursed her sister for eternity, hurt her family, endangered a child, and served a corrupt person, while being corrupt this whole time. She is not innocent and her problems with her parents should not have been an excuse. You all should not forgive her. The same goes for the show's characters.

Maybe that was part of the reason. Remember in season 1 episode 19 Lilith said she meant for the spell to take away Eda's powers for a day. That was so she would have a better chance at getting in the coven.
She probably thought getting in the Emperor's Coven would finally get Gwen to give her love and attention. But no, it backfired.

Observation:
We've learned in this episode that Gwen is a part of the beastkeeping coven. We also saw just how quickly she was able to soothe her two daughters in their beast forms.
What if...she was the solution all along? Not a cure, but a way to cope without elixir. She did what the others couldn't in moments: found their souls lost within the owl/raven beasts. All the two women needed was someone to love them at their worst and best.

She apologized mainly for boscha and her group’s doings but never hers, and obviously the first scene with her and willow HAS happened before/ Lillith did something that she thought would last for a day but it just happen to end up having an effect for all eternity. Keep in mind she was A LITTLE KID and the whole time she worked alongside emperor belos to capture eda, she was trying to help her curse. Yes, not the best way and she should have told eda, that I can be angry at. But have you ever considered years of neglect ent from hee mother because her mother never KNEW about the curse up until this episode.
Then afterwards, tried hard to regain the trust from the owl house family. She even split the curse between eda and herself so eda could suffer less and she could experience the pain for herself.
Difference between lillith and amity is that lillith as much as did such a horrible thing, spent the whole time in the show secretly owning up to it. Amity (and boscha and her group I suppose) bullied and belittled willow for years intentionally, but lillith fucked up one time and caused a huge mess. I think you need to rewatch the owl house to realize how much of a difference the two characters actually developed. Amity developed around luz, became more firm and stood up to her parents, but what did she do for willow? Not really that much when you realize. Heck, Lillith stood powerless against a horde of fire bees to get eda’s trust back.
Here’s the thing with amity, she kinda did ruin willow’s life. You could bring up the subject of her parents as an excuse, but that would be dumb. Her main objective to distance herself from willow was to make sure she would keep her status clean, 1 and 2, to make sure willow got into hexside. Bullying people and being a cunt meanwhile her siblings are literally some of the chillest people ever shows that it was literally her choice to keep willow miserable. She’s a sweet character and all after her redemption but she has never really tried that hard to give willow the treatment she deserves. (Remember in that episode when amity uses willow as a venting pillow about luz like, right after they establish a friendlier connection? Yeah.. such a great redemption arc woo…)
Anyways I wrote too much just seperate the character’s actions and thoughts with the problem they caused in the end, please just keep that in mind.
I dunno if Lillith should even be upset if her mom gets mad. Wouldn't have happened ed if her mom wasn't so neglectful
