CN Camrose Sub - Battle River Valley flyby, Alliance Sub, Grain Elevator and 518 with SD40-2W

The Camrose Sub is one of my favourite "Branchlines" in the Edmonton area, it features some nice prairie scenery, including the Battle River Valley just south of Camrose, along with a few wooden grain elevators and a mixture of traffic. While not a branchline in the traditional sense of being light density with one train a day, the Camrose Sub is CN's mainline to Calgary, with hotshot intermodal trains, mixed manifest, bulk and roadswitchers.
We'll start out at Ferlow Junction, at the bottom of the Battle River Valley and see X 14451 17 roll across the valley floor before ascending the otherside. The perspective from the drone really shows how scenic this area is, with the Battle River meandering back and forth and the railway curving through the valley. Ferlow Junction was the location where the Stettler Sub diverged from the Camrose Sub, enroute to Stettler and Dinosaur Junction in Drumheller. You'll be able to see the old right of way at 3:00. We'll then head over to Hay Lakes for Z 11531 12 back in March and return to June with L 51851 07 with a pair of SD40-2Ws. In Camrose, we'll see 518 passing power for a grain train at the old wooden elevator in Camrose and then see M 31651 06 heading north with an SD75I leading, as they pass the elevator and go over the interlocking with CPKC's Wetaskiwin Sub. We'll finish off the video with L 51851 07 on the Alliance Spur, returning from the Crush Plant a few miles east of town.
