Good to see you back, Ari. You have been missed. I love those old films and current pics of the two of you! Your Landscapes are lovely and really interesting but those shots and footage of the two of you, I am guessing, will be personal treasures for decades to come.
What a wonderful trip! Thanks for sharing your great time with us. Every time one of those you shot on the Rollei came up, I wanted to see a very large print of it. :)
Your videos have been a great inspiration for me. I recently bought a rolleicord per your suggestion and it has allowed me to produce some great images while traveling. It really is the perfect travel camera!
Excellent!! Yeah, it is a surprisingly handy package to carry around. And a Rolleicord is an even better traveling companion than a Rolleiflex. It is lighter, and less can go wrong. And it takes every bit as good pictures! I opted for my Rolleicord during our spring Mexico trip because I knew the would be a lot of walking and carrying a camera around.
Well worth the long wait! I know that it was not that long!Rewarded with super photos from that Rollei and Lumo! I watch movie after movie, with the latest wunderplastik hi-tech cameras and those into self harm, the LARGE Format.. You done good my man! The short 8mm movie a treasure! Bravo !
Recently I ventured from Perth, Australia to Bali, Indonesia with film. No issues at either airport, I simply held up a transparent plastic bag with film. Without prompting the nice folks took the bag from my grasp with a promise to bypass the evil scanners and it was handed over on the other side. No worries. Nice to see you drive from the correct side of car. In December I will be off to observe northern lights from Norway and then back via Finland. Not too sure about the temperatures. Here on mid winter day, thought to be freezing cold, looks like your summers day.
Your enjoyment in being back in Ireland after so long shines through Ari, both in the lovely still images and the videos from both trips. You have both worn well, though she possibly a little better, no doubt because she has been looked after so well ...... My wife and I are soon returning to Chamonix, where we spent our honeymoon 25 years ago. I hope I come back with some images half as good as yours.
The Rollei is possibly my favourite ever film camera - compact, great lens, reliable, well-made, nice to use. Only downside is that it's difficult to get it repaired or serviced here in the U.K., now that the main repairer for them has closed- I may have to send it to Europe next time.
Welcome back and thanks for coming back and another great video! Excellent landscapes and photographs, which lift the spirit, full of emotion and nostalgia... Thank you! PS. I thought the color of Guinness was black :-)
Welcome back Ari!! I hope your break from UA-cam was fun and rejuvenating!! Love the photographs and Ireland looks like a great place to visit! I take it your wife is your brown eye girl? Thanks for a great video and glad to see you back!!
Like your pictures and the nice poetic touch of some of them. Like your use of metropolis and on top of all that nice music in the video. One idea for future trips: try the swiss alps in fall. Take care
The old home movie you showed here reminded me, I saw an old picture of you in the newspaper last month. Heikki Hela had his 60th birthday article in HS, there was a group picture with you in it from Berlin like end of the 80's or beginning of 90's if I remember correctly? I was like whaaaat, what is Ari doing on my newspaper :D
Love Ireland but try Scotland as well. Even within the Central Belt (Glasgow to Edinburgh) there's great scenery. You don't have to head to the honeypot locations, infact I'd avoid them completely and do your own thing. The natives are friendly ... even those with viking blood in them 😁
Nice images. Why the selection of Rodinal with your FP4+? What character are you trying to achieve? Specifically wouldn’t the Adox be a better fit for film/camera selection?
Nice to see a positive view of Ireland but you must be careful in certain areas, we are not all Saints & Scholars. Just to let you know the southern part of the island (26 counties) is called Éire. and the other British occupied part is called Northern Ireland. Ireland is the name of the complete island.
"The Boys ase back in town" - fantastic choice for the correct Ireland ambience, thank you!
So great to have you back! I’ve missed you like a dear friend!
The black & white city photos are beautiful. Love the contrast. Haven’t shot a roll of film for a long time but you have me thinking about it again.
Go for it :-)

Thank you so much! Yeah, we have over 2 hours of footage:-)
Love this video. Super beautiful pics, really.
Thank you, thank you! Much appreciated.
Good to see you trying the Murphys.
Great video, love Ireland 💚
What a wonderful trip! Thanks for sharing your great time with us.
Every time one of those you shot on the Rollei came up, I wanted to see a very large print of it. :)
Thank thanks. And you are right -- it's the print that makes a photograph.
Really like the look of that colour lomo film - very nice!
It is. Just do not expect "natural colors". It has an attitude :-)
@@ShootOnFilm always nice to have some attitude with a film - gets you past the bland and predictable 😀
I really enjoyed this video Ari. You made some spectacular photographs. I love the Rollei as well. 🙌❤️🔥
Thank you, thank you. It really is a fantastic camera!
Beautiful photographs.
Thank you!
Great job, you’re are definitely right north west donegal is a very special place with so many photo opportunities. Thank you.
It sure is. And thanks for watching!
Glad to hear you both enjoyed my country. Great video and thanks for sharing your thoughts and memories.

Awesome -- still today 27 degrees up here 🙂
So lovely to see your young selves! Great photos, too.
Wonderful video & photos. Being American & part Irish we all want to go to Ireland & have a Guinness. Maybe some day.
Go for it! It's an awesome place!
Welcome back! Amazing video and beautiful photos. Also those older video clips, lovely! I get a lot of inspiration from your channel. All the best!
Thank you, thank you. And thanks for watching.

Very nicely put, thanks!! And I wish you both a lovely trip to Chamonix!
The B/W Rolleiflex photos are really beautiful and engaging Ari.
Thank you! I think that particular camera has some magic to it
Thanks for this fine video. And Irland is on my bucket list. 😊
Have fun! :-)
Good to see you again after the holidays and give me an impression of Ireland with your photography.
Thanks for watching!
Glad to see you got as far west as Achill. I’m heading there tomorrow.
Excellent!
Lovely. Your instincts about the Metropolis were bang on. Really gave those shots a nostalgic feel, and perfect for that environment. 👌
Yeah. It’s a nice film.
@@ShootOnFilm Most people seem to use it for a dystopian look, but your use was both unusual and very appealing. 👏
Just marvellous. Amazing images, perfectly supported by the piano and thank you very much for sharing!
Thank you for watching!
Wonderful*. An heading off to Wales next week with my grandfather's Yashica LM. Can't wait to bask in that rainy coastline. CHEERS!
Yeah. Rainy coastline- nothing better!
Great piano work! Love the metropolis shots. Great video. Thank you.
Thanks, thanks! And thanks for watching!
Go to see you back. Sounds like a wonderful trip. Nice images.
Many thanks! And yes a great trip
Great video. Great photos. Bad weather. Thanks.
:-) I love bad weather!
Great set of images. Loved the music too.
Glad you enjoyed it
This is the best video yet, Ari. Beautiful photography of course, but so, so heartfelt.
Wow, thank you! And thanks for watching!

Yeah, servicing these is a bit of a challenge. But it is with all old cameras, not just Rolleis.
Loved it
Thanks for watching!
Really beautiful. Thank you for the wonderful photos 🙏🏻
Many thanks!
Great photographs and music, first time watching, will watch again.
Thanks for joining!
Super nice images! Good work again!
Many thanks!
Welcome back and thanks for coming back and another great video! Excellent landscapes and photographs, which lift the spirit, full of emotion and nostalgia... Thank you!
PS. I thought the color of Guinness was black :-)
Thanks, thanks. Yes, that is what I also thought, but they corrected me at the Guinness factory!
Beautiful on so many levels. Love the old films.
Thanks thanks!
Looked to be a great trip, and long over due. Thank you for taking us along! Have a great week!!
Thanks for watching. You, too!
Welcome back Ari!! I hope your break from UA-cam was fun and rejuvenating!! Love the photographs and Ireland looks like a great place to visit!
I take it your wife is your brown eye girl? Thanks for a great video and glad to see you back!!
Good to be back. .... she is actually more a green eyed .....:-)
Always a pleasure hearing of your adventures and viewing your photos sir.
Thank you for watching!!
Thanks Ari, great video & images. I went to Irelend, but way back in May of '89, it was fabulous, like you where saying.
A new trip, then? ;-)
tats exactly what the doctor ordered!
Lovely images! Lovely couple, too!
:-) Thanks!

Oh yeah? yes, we played in Berlin and East Germany I'm thinking in 1989... those were the days!
Nice 👌
Thanks!
think this is a cool video especially the reminiscing
Thanks! And thanks for watching!
great shots! what was the first song you covered on the piano? I can't remember it and its driving me crazy!
The Boys Are Back In Town -- by Thin Lizzy

Yes. I hear you. Actually, in 1991 we went to Scotland from Ireland. I swam in Loch Ness and we did the Glenfiddish tour 😊
Nice.
Thanks!
Nice images. Why the selection of Rodinal with your FP4+? What character are you trying to achieve? Specifically wouldn’t the Adox be a better fit for film/camera selection?
I like FP4+ grain, and love how it becomes alive with Rodinal. As you can see, I pretty much developed everything else in XT3 but FP4s :-)
I've never had a problem having film scanned either exposed or not. Is this a new thing?
The new scanners are much more powerful and harm film much more. Here is an excellent video to watch: ua-cam.com/video/oRlReCTzDV8/v-deo.html

Donegal probably the best
