The other day I had a chat with a woman living in her car. Single mom - employed as a nurse. For all complainers and free marketers .. think hard. This is not the Canada we dreamed of.
The problem is we strayed from a free market...
"Single mom"
@@MikeyPaper Did you ever think, she may have lost her husband/father to child. It's the most stupid post from you.
This is what the factories that employed children lamented. @@HolyEyeWasHere

That Nancy woman just needs to rent monthly not daily
it doesnt say she owns all 58 properties, but that she manages for other owners...
56 properties I think she'll be okay
She MANAGES 56 properties. She does NOT own 56 properties. sounds to me like she is organized , professional and works hard and deserves a successful business.
The shortage is the calculated bureaucratic system that holds back developers from getting permits, thus government controlling supply to allow demand to grow.
absolutely correct. zoning bylaws play a big part as well
so you're building houses?
No, I think I'll continue to short-term rent out my home and there's really nothing you can do about it thanks.
Some realators in Kamloops have 4 or 7 housings places on airbnb
Thats the point to take away from the profit makers wrecking the housing market i hope this is wide spread
"lets destroy each other, instead of build together"
@@roseoverdose6451How are the building together by exploiting the market.
STR is easy money for unskilled work
That's the whole idea of "Investment"..."My money works for me so that I don't have to"
Due to the rising number of thieves posing as guests, the short-term rental business has become risky. Such incidents frequently make headlines, with guests stealing thousands of dollars' worth of valuables.
I known a lot of landlords who switched to Airbnb because they have no rights anymore as the landlord... i understand renters need some protection, but it has gone too far. You will fight in court for months to remove a problem tennant and if you do succede it will have cost you a small fortune with no way to recover those costs...
It’s about time 😂 Enjoy the money while it lasts!!
Aww Nancy cutie 😢 I’m sorry the BC government did this to you💔maybe try changing provinces 😘
what's about all the others, which don't even live here? They should not profit from another province
haters are such losers.
@@roseoverdose6451 has nothing to do with hate !!!!!!!!! or you must be one of them.
@@TheSwisscanada celebrating financial ruin of hundreds you don't know... that's pure hate with a dash of jealousy.
@@roseoverdose6451 Is it so hard for you to understand other peoples opinion ? You must have sniffed too much, or you just one of the trolls
Another revenue opportunity for the government. Same government that doesn't know how to balance their own budget.
Poor Nancy...
After may everyone can take advantage of cheap rent
Hooray! It's about time.
Right move
Will the be in effect in whistler? Probably not
I don't think in resort areas
all bc
Canada is a miserable place to live. Airbnb or not this place sucks. Cold, dark & overpriced.
Stuff it!
Free market place.
Democracy now
That's an oxymoron. They are completely contradicting terms. You can not have a democracy in a free enterprise system as the free market seeks to convert everything into capital including human lives. Then democracy is the last thing considered when it goes to monetary growth.
what about housing? we don't want homeless so we need to figure out something to allow for more permanent residences
@@awesomeness24158
Just like central planning seeks to convert everything into state property.
Shouldn't you guys be hyping wildfires?
NDP have to go.
But Gord Johns is a legend!
boohoo
Why?
@@ryanbrubacher2673they dont add anything. just take things away... among a hundred other reasons. they are looking for scapegoats for THEIR failed housing policy. eby was the minister during the largest price increase in history, now patting himself on the back.
