Academy Award® winner Robert Zemeckis directs this live action retelling of the beloved tale of a wooden puppet who embarks on a thrilling adventure to become a real boy. Tom Hanks stars as Geppetto, the wood carver who builds and treats Pinocchio (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) as if he were his own son. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Jiminy Cricket, who serves as Pinocchio’s guide as well as his "conscience"; Academy Award® nominee Cynthia Erivo is the Blue Fairy; Keegan-Michael Key is "Honest" John; Academy Award® nominee Lorraine Bracco is Sofia the Seagull, a new character, and Luke Evans is The Coachman. Also in the cast are Kyanne Lamaya as Fabiana and Jaquita Ta’Le as her marionette Sabina, Giuseppe Battiston as Stromboli and Lewin Lloyd as Lampwick.
The screenplay for “Pinocchio” is by Robert Zemeckis & Chris Weitz. Andrew Miano, Chris Weitz, Robert Zemeckis and Derek Hogue are the film’s producers, with Jack Rapke, Jacqueline Levine, Jeremy Johns and Paul Weitz the film’s executive producers.

Tom Hanks was great as Geppetto as well as he was as Woody, Walt Disney, and Fred Rogers.
Tom Hanks was brilliant for the role of Gepetto, considering how great he was with characters being a father figure. I've seen that with The Conductor from The Polar Express, Sheriff Woody from The Toy Story Franchise, and Walt Disney from Saving Mr. Banks. Also, considering how Robert Zemeckis also loves Pinocchio and included the character in a cameo appearance in two of his films The Polar Express and Who Framed Roger Rabbit (both of who are my favorite movies he's ever done), he was the right man to direct the film. Both Tom Hanks and Robert Zemeckis are an amazing team. I would really like for them to do a live-action Toy Story movie in the future.

I am a zookeeper in chicago and I regularly feed the hippos day old sausages so they have a taste of their home. I put strings on the sausages and swing them around the hippos they get so mad at me and scream but it's an obsession sometimes the hippos try and break out of their cages but I keep swinging those hotdogs in wide circles over their heads. Luckily my boss doesn't know I do this or my coworkers

Tom Hanks talks about this movie as if it is a huge success, a great film, but reviews and critics are saying the opposite.
You have to do that to promote the movie you're getting paid for to be in, that just how it goes.

Worst remake of any Disney movie made, I wanted to turn it off about 20 mins in, 😒 but I watched it all. Huge disappointment!! In my opinion, it seemed rushed, the editing was bad, and unfortunately for such a great actor, the movie on a whole is a sham. Felt sorry for Tom for being talked into such awful remake.
Note to Disney Studios, if something is worth doing, DO IT WELL!! I'd rather wait for perfection, than watch something rushed and be disappointed 😞 .
