My First Impressions Of Sky Princess: Ship Tour and Princess Cruises Food Review

- PRINCESS CRUISES, SKY PRINCESS - Today I board the incredible Sky Princess by Princess Cruises to embark on my first ever cruise holiday. I will give you a full cruise ship tour of Sky Princess as well as a cruise ship food tour to highlight the amazing cruise food you can find onboard and show you how good cruise food can be.
I start off by boarding the ship at the Mayflower Cruise Terminal in Southampton and getting my first impressions of being on my first ever cruise ship. Next up, I give your a full tour of my room before I head to the top deck for the sail away party.
The next day it is time to explore the food onboard and have a full ship tour of Sky Princess. I start with the Ultimate Balcony Breakfast in my room, with Champagne, of course. I didn't expect breakfast on a cruise ship to be so good. After coffee at 24/7 International Cafe, I take you on the full tour of Sky Princess to see everything the cruise ship has to offer.
I was fortunate enough to meet the multi-award winning Michelin Starred Chef, Jean-Christophe Novelli. We sat down for an interview with Jean-Christophe Novelli to talk about food, life onboard Sky Princess and all things culinary delights.
Finally I stop for dinner which is my first proper Princess Cruises dining experience onboard Sky Princess. I eat at Sabatini's Italian Trattoria (extra cover charge of $35pp) which is part of the Speciality Dining Experience.
All fares include accommodations, complimentary dining and entertainment along with the MedallionClass experience. However, I was on the Princess Plus Package which included WiFi, crew appreciation, Plus Beverage Package, premium desserts, 2 casual dining meals per guest, room service delivery & more.

I can't believe how big this cruise is and it is so luxurious inside. If I have travelled to all the places I would love to, I may try a cruise one.

White glove room service brekky -- what a decadent bourgeois existence Joe! Don't settle in too much -- the revolution is coming😅😂! My bf and I have been to 60+ countries together. Some of them were rougher rides than the others. We like to go on a cruise every so often to break things up. There's something very enjoyable about life at sea. Glad you enjoyed yours. Hope your sea legs will take you to Alaska one day. That's totally unforgettable!
you are right, I came on board a complete skeptic, saying "never" but here I am haha. and well... as you will see over the mini series, I had quite a good time haha. Alaska sounds awesome. I would love that, or the Norwegian Fjords.
Joe, you worked hard for this trip. You represented them really well. It would be hard to complain about this short but sweet cruise.

That Italian four course dinner looked incredible. The cheesy polenta, that lobster tortellini. DROOLING! 😂

I have only been on one cruise. In 2014 I went on a 29 days pacific crossing, from Sydney to Vancouver, with all food included... 😊

You got me at waking up to the view of the ocean. There is nothing better than a champagne breakfast with smoked salmon and I can't believe how good the Italian restaurant was for that price. I think part of the ideal of these cruises is that people such as myself are so busy that it's good to have everything in the one place. Would love to do a Nordic cruise through the Fjords.
Haha yeah that’s hard to beat isn’t it. No matter where you are in the world. That’s exactly it! You can just totally relax and be pampered or you can go to some really cool places like the nordics or Alaska

We were on this one as well - our second on Sky Princess and we’ll be on her again in 2025. Spent some time chatting with Jean-Christophe Novelli and he was charming, definitely a highlight for me!
Lovely ship, was on her in July and had a fab time, rebooked for summer 2025🎉

it was a great experience, there are 4 more videos to come, that was the point to tease you to watch haha. There is food available 24/7 on the room service, the cafe for snacks and drinks is 24/7 but the restaurants do shut. Food was included in the package yes, on the plus package, so were drinks and gratuities, I think it is a good deal. Link in the description for info
