@@bugisbonkers I love Death Note, but a complaint I’ve heard that I think has some merit is that the show really just throws out it’s themes in the first five episodes and never really evolves on them or creates more of a commentary with them, unlike other great works. Misa’s lack of agency after being teased as a potential antagonist to Light was disappointing to some. The manga is better with it, but I still think it suffers the same.
Lisa is indeed a person who hates killing people on the surface, but actually writes a lot of names in Death Note. After she killed Reaper, she had to replace Reaper. What a excellent ending it is.

I remember a scene where Homer was Zoro, Marge is a Bleach Shinigami, Lisa (I think) waa Mikasa from AOT, Bart was Naruto, Maggie was a Pikachu and Santa's Little Helper the Ghibli Dragon.
It was a good way to pull off the twist: Keep Bart out of the story but design the Shinigami to look a lot like him to make viewers think that's what his role in the short was, but reveal that no he's actually there as himself still. It's also pretty funny how Lisa's personality overlaps with Light's so well.
What's absolutely brilliant about this whole parody is that Lisa (who's a genius) is pitted against another genius. It's like the Battle of the Geniuses with a dash of Light Side/Dark Side mixed in!

Funny how Lisa murdering people comes up again in a later Treehouse of Horror episode where she gets "traumatized" in an alternate timeline where Bob does kill Bart. Traumatized in quotations cause Lisa has been lacking a moral compass for quite a while now.
I actually wished this was the ending in the Death Note anime where Light becomes a Shinigami. That would have been a better ending. And I would demand it to happen.
I like to think that her turning into a Shinigami is a reference to the main series that follows the same theory that Light becomes a Shinigami after he dies
