I'm not going to disagree on this, but yes, it looks better than the Netflix version because the Netflix Death Note can rot in hell. Okay, I'll be a little bit mean, but yeah, it's way better than that version. Still, the original Death Note and the manga have good storylines, even though the ending is slightly different. And what I mean differently I mean from the anime to the manga. If you guys don't believe me go and buy yourself the complete box set and read the Manga and then watch the anime. And if you're missing anything with Death Note related, there is also the one-shot special they did a couple of years back. Now this from The Simpsons it's an excellent homage to the series. I do appreciate the dedication they made to do this animation for the fans, and I hope they were fans while making this episode.
Not gonna lie, you suggesting Ralph as L and Krusty as Ryuk got a good chuckle out of me since that's _precisely_ what their roles were in the original Simpsons/Death Note crossover fancomic.
Sounds like the voice used for the guy who sells homer the krusty doll in a previous treehouse of horror the one with the frozen yogurt that is also cursed
There are also other Simpsons characters in the background. Nice catch with Ned Flanders! But there's definitely more! I spotted Disco Stu, Sea Captain and the twins Sherri and Terri.
Lisa’s justiceis are selfish many times, it’s a good idea about making her play Yagami Light. Lisa is indeed a person who hates killing people on the surface, but actually writes a lot of names in Death Note. After she killed Reaper, she had to replace Reaper. What a excellent ending it is.
@@Harutjun Na not Krusty. I haven't watched an episode of The Simpsons in over 10 years, but I can still recognise Moe's voice. Ryuk is Moe for sure. As for the green hair, that might just be them making him look like the Joker.
In the manga parody they did before this, Bart was Light and Lisa was L- or so it seemed, until it was revealed that L was actually Ralph and Lisa was a red herring.

I thought Ryuk was Mr.Krusty's monkey Mr.Teeny 🐒 because of the fur design and monkey like face 🐵 and cuz they always portrayed him as evil like in the Simpsons Movie when he tried to shank the baby of the family Maggie.

Her becoming a shinigami is a reference to a long-standing theory that Light became a shinigami after dying as a result of using the Death Note.
it not a theory , it a fact .

Ok, I was wondering about that scene. Thanks for the background info on it. I knew there had to be a reason.
I KNEW Sleve McDichael looked familar!
Bro, they hired the animators from Death Note to do this.
lol, that's awesome
So it truly is an anime episode, not just a cartoon in anime style.
At first, I didn't think Ryuk was supposed to be any specific character, but then I looked it up and found out he has the same voice as Krusty.
He sounds more like Moe to me, but the hair is more Krusty. Moe is more generally murderous though...
i think he was made specifically for this only, also moe and krusty have the same va or they use to.
and the reason i say he was made for this only is i can't find anyone in the "Simpsons wiki" who looks like him AT all.
still better than the Netflix version
Everything is better than the Netflix version 🤣
Better than the Netflix version? It looks better than a lot of real anime (Dragon Ball Super)

Japanese Live Action, distribute by WB still better than Netflix version
Ryuk isn't supposed to be a pre-existing Simpsons character, but an original one. Named Steve Johnson.
8:41 the death note user will not go to heaven or hell, they become shinigami after death...there is some light's shinigami form in the movie.
That was sick, anime Simpsons would renew the series.
The Simpsons have actually been pretty good lately please watch the episode Pixelated and Afraid
Not gonna lie, you suggesting Ralph as L and Krusty as Ryuk got a good chuckle out of me since that's _precisely_ what their roles were in the original Simpsons/Death Note crossover fancomic.
yeah, they tease Lisa to be L, by making her sit like him and stuff, only for it to be a red herring.
DR Movie made the animation. Apparently they also helped on the original animation for Death Note. So that's why it's so spot on.
Agree.
Hank Azaria did Steve's voice, he also does Moe's voice.
So Steve is Moe as a shinigami.
Or Krusty, given the green hair and red lipstick.
