Why? Your rights have never been absolute. You should be terrified that you don't understand your rights more than people should be terrified about the President saying the truth.
Very good point. And if our government exists for the benefit of the citizens, then how is it reasonable that our government has the absolute right of self defense (military and law enforcement) but the citizens have no such absolute rights?
Joetatoe is not our president. He was put in. So whatever they try to take away would be illegal and could spark a 2 way rifle range. Just my 2 cents, prior military and history buff
The NRA has done more to undermine US gun rights by making it such a polarized issue than any liberal could have. By painting gun rights as a weird amalgam of constitutionalism, propped up masculinity, and general conspiracy theories, it's alienated the average American from guns and turned the 2nd amendment into a joke.
Unfortunately I live in Oregon and a friend of mine had his guns temporarily seized due to a neighbor dispute. His neighbor never even saw him with a gun in his hand but knew he owned guns and no threats were ever made and they used red flag laws just because the guy felt uncomfortable.
@@talkingrock7011 no he should have never had the opportunity to do something like he did out of spite, he should have faced severe repercussions such as jail time AND fines when the gestapo figured out the other guy wasn’t actually a threat if they want to have “red flag laws”.
Isn’t it interesting that every time they mention we need to “compromise” it’s only one side who gains from they “compromise”? They might have changed the nature of definition since I was in school but compromises include both sides getting something from the deal.
the fact the biden admin was asked if they were gonna fortify our school and they flat out said no. shows they dont really care about kids. then other democrats have passed bills to take school resource officers out of school. shows its not about the kids. its about gun control. the kids are just a convenient way to gain power. they enable these tragedies then they use the kids dead bodies while they are still warm, to quickly push power bills while everyone is in an emotional daze. while every attempt to create bills to protect our schools the democrats fight it. and use the phrase " turning our schools to prisons" while having a fully armed security team for themselves.
It's crazy how anyone could think red flag laws are a good idea, literally just throwing due process in the garbage. There's no way that can be constitutional.
Not only the govt, but friends, family, and doctors too. They need to stiffen, drastically, the punishment for people who lie. I know they wont though because that's their confiscation mentality doing its job.

I am not sure what you are worried about. The background check doesnt take guns away from responsible owners. Allows unresposible ones to be checked to lower possibilities. As car driving shouldnt there be some restrictions to who owns guns? That being said police officers should do a much better job. Why not do both? Not allowing the guns in the wrong hand and enhance security. I wish we would be more productive with these talks and it should not be political since safety is a vital issue.
Imagine being a kid going to school and having to do monthly mass-shooter drills in case Timmy snaps one Friday? Imagine having a cop patrolling your place of work every so often, keeping an eye on you in case your coworker snaps. Best be on you best behaviour, because they can also arrest you for other violations, like that counterfeit cologne you bought from Mexico. Oh, and don't mind him rummaging through your bag too. It's for your own safety. And when you get to your office, remember that your supervisor locks the office door so when Janice from accounting goes postal, you'll be safe inside. Of course the accounting department won't be, but... Eh. And that's to kids who neither own guns, nor may ever want to. At least you had a choice, they get none.
Not a single law they pass is about safety, it’s about control. Once you wake up and realize that you’ll realize none of this matters cause it bigger then guns it’s all about taking control and abolishing freedom.
That is exactly what the big picture looks like. After all, we're never able to expand our freedoms. It is a one way ratchet in the direction of tyranny.
Yup, they send their wind up toys out to do horrible things for optics, then they offer a solution that takes away rights. Almost always around a political event. They tell the police to stand down, to let it play out. That is the only reason they would stand down, also mean they are compromised most likely by the hidden hand cult.
You cannot legislate safety. Name one law that does that. Traffic laws don't legislate you must drive safely. They control how you must drive. On the right, within your lane, at a speed matching the flow of other vehicles. Again, how is this news?

Almost all of the anti-gun arguments are based on the assumption that government exists largely for the purpose of determining what we need and what we don't need. But if the government gets to decide this for me, then how can that be freedom?
The best argument in this podcast was the guy in black saying "just because we and our parents haven't experienced a need doesn't mean one won't happen". 1000% true. Ukraine is a great example.
This was actually one of the most accurate statements ever made. Several of the bigger nations have expressed that the one thing keeping them from an invasion of the US isnt our superior military, it is that we have an armed citizenry. Best believe that they are watching this intently. If legislation ever passes reducing or getting rid of armed citizenry altogether, it wont be long until they do decide to try their luck.
I think people are missing the point with a lot of these laws like “safe storage” etc. These will be used by law enforcement to generate reasonable suspicion/ probable cause to enter your home, car, etc. It’s just like laws requiring you to use a seatbelt. Considering how so many conservatives have displayed nothing but contempt for him, why has nobody in Kentucky ever had the balls to at least try and primary him? In this modern era of social media movements you don't neccessarily need an expensive old fashion ad campaign or super PACs to get your name out there. Either McConnell is strait up having everyone who he thinks might be a threat to him assassinated or kentucky actually is mostly full of inbred hillbillies who have no motivation and are to stupid to care about their state politics like all the derogatory stereotypes suggest.
You don't need that quality of armament to deal with that quality of people. An M1903 Springfield is more than sufficient to deal with a stone age mob with a few handguns. AR15s are needed in the event of the kind of murderous government power grab we've seen many times in world history.
The government doesn't need to directly limit or revoke constitutionally protected rights when they can use large corporations and businesses to enforce their will and limitations on the American people.
@@daye8132 Republican Judges and Politicians did that and support that. And a few "Democratic" ones as well but the majority of the proponents are Republicans. In fact, the gun lobby is the reason for all this. Their job is to help gun companies to sell more guns. Their job is not to help Americans. The corporate charter of every corporation is the pursuit of profit full stop. If they can get away with breaking laws or can change laws to make more money they will do that and by their own rules all CEO's must do this or their board will replace them. Corporations avoid bad press to avoid losing market share. They avoid being caught committing crimes and even killing people in order to avoid fines, penalties and bad press. Corporations are by their charter sociopathic. The best corporate leaders are psychopaths who can rub elbows at the political fundraisers and who know which fork to use at dinner. A perfect example is the CEO of a "health" insurance company. In order to be a successful "health" insurance company executive, one must push the employees of their company to reject, delay and deny medical treatment. Only the most successful "health" insurance company executives get the biggest bonuses. So they must slow down or stop legitimate medical treatment claims in order to succeed. The more they succeed the more they can push less profitable companies out of the industry. The system rewards the most cutthroat companies that can get away with the most wrongdoing. Compassion or doing what is morally right is not what a responsible executive does. In fact, doing that will get an executive fired. So we are growing larger and more powerful mechanisms for committing acts of evil against all life on this planet all in the name of profit. Like the firearms industry, Oil Companies must sell more oil and work to avoid all responsibility for any harm it may cause. Insurance companies must sell more policies and deny more claims. Big box stores must drive out all their competition, demand their vendors sell to them at the lowest price, they must pay their employees the least amount of money possible, must not donate money to local causes, must demand lower taxes and weaker regulations from local, state and federal government. All this to beat the competition and eventually become the only provider of goods or services and raise prices as much as possible. The only rule is more, More, MORE!
This goes way back. Mussolini had said that fascism should be called corporatism. The unity of government and corporate power for the peoples benefit. History shows us how well that worked out. The more we ignore, or worse, rewrite history, the more likely we are to repeat it.

The "New World Order' who come in many names, have been around since long ago. They are very patient with some plans that go far longer than the Life of People. They obviously saw long ago it would be good to make many naive, and clueless ones (here in North America), to be such to our great 2ND AMENDMENT. Believe they even saw a no borders trick would also greatly help this. Where only a few crossing into North America they call a u.s. oddly still- would understand how vitally important of a must our "shall not be infringed" great 2ND AMENDMENT is to our survival; and where most would be clueless to what it actually means- NOT making it mandatory that they they learn such. As I am sure they skip it in anything they teach- if anything is taught which I doubt for this reason also. Also no borders greatly helps in other ways for our internal destruction. Like interestingly all these groups about Rights here in North America, they only help people from other countries. Where if you are a person from this Land being greatly wronged, they could care less, but they'll take your money gladly! Being more proof to what is actually going on. Of which is a true evil, and people should greatly beware (not implying that other Peoples Rights do not matter, just that those doing such so called things for Rights here in North America, are not at all what they claim to be- they are not at all for People from North America, and looks to be for no good reason whatsoever to this land. they do not even see they are bringing destruction to their own selves, how clueless they are- though could also be knowing evil ones all doing for the Luciferian evil- as they do exist) Never mind all the other angles they are using in what I see is clearly an in operation attack of an internal tyranny/coup of many angles to destroy North America. Our great 2ND AMENDMENT to be infringe destroyed being one of their biggest angles, a mandatory angle so important to them for internally being able to destroy North America (even wonder what external ties they have planned in the matter, and when if so- it will happen). Why do so many admirably aggressive proponents of the 2nd amendment say things like the "2nd amendment right". The rights enumerated in the Constitution are not granted by the Constitution but guaranteed by it. The Constitution recognizes that these rights are natural and a part perpetually attached to existing as a human. Words matter. The Constitution can be amended, however human rights cannot. Presenting it as the '2nd amendment right', or any other right listed in the Bill of Rights, immediately infers that rights are man assigned therefore the man I choose can take it away. Not so.
All rights are man made. Rights come from a monopoly on violence. Your right to free speech is not inalienable. Strip away the police that keeps the other side's protesters at bay, and your right to free speech can be ended with a brick to your face. Your right to have a gun is conditional on someone selling you a gun (and ammo for it). When every gunsmith in the land decides your face looks bad, tough luck. Your right to a trial before a jury of your peers is conditional upon there being a legal system at all. You have no fundamental rights, without someone backing them up. When the government establishes your rights, it's the government that backs them up. Take your rights and jump into the Sahara. See how that pans out for you.
Human rights cannot be amended? What does that even mean? And what are "natural" rights anyway? Like life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, etc.?
@@Meatwaggon Good morning. Amazingly enough, Wikipedia has an almost perfect definition: "Natural rights are those that are not dependent on the laws or customs of any particular culture or government, and so are universal, fundamental and inalienable (they cannot be repealed by human laws, though one can forfeit their enjoyment through one's actions, such as by violating someone else's rights)." It does miss that you can also choose to forfeit them by allowing yourself to be subjugated by another, i.e. person, government, political party, etc.

I’m from England, and here we are required to store all our guns in a locked metal cabinet bolted to a structural wall, only to be taken out for maintenance or cleaning (when not in use). My (shotgun) license expires every 5 years, then I have to re-apply from scratch. In re-applying, a local civilian firearms officer will visit my home and inspect my gun cabinet before signing me off. I have never been randomly visited by a firearms officer. I’m really liking your channel and am learning a lot.
Its hard for me to get motivated behind any sort of advocacy when we are still operating within the context of the NFA. Theyve already won. We already can't own a laundry list of things, our barrels can't be too long or too short or shotguns too short or put a stock on a pistol, or own a gun thats too big or too quiet... its all for naught. We are already groveling for our constitutional rights. Unless we repeal the NFA whats the point of any of this.
They haven't won yet... YOU can have anything you want, you just have to pay more money, sign some papers, etc. Look at a tax stamps as insurance rather than a fee... You can still get the end product...oh and don't be a criminal...
@@meanmadmonkey7762 thats bullshit though. Its an infringement. I'm not rich enough to pay an extra $200 tax on something that should be my right to own. I need federal government approval and registration if I want to put a regular fucking stock on a 14" AR instead of a Pistol Brace?? WTF does it matter. If you can't see that the NFA is as or more restrictive if not fundamental to the stuff they are trying to pass now, then you are part of the problem. Did you even watch the video? They were saying one of our problems are that people who were born after a particular legislation is passed don't fight to repeal that legislation, you don't fight for what you never had.... That legislation is the NFA, that problem is YOU! Your actual solution to this is for me to save my money and be on my best behavior so that the FBI lets me join their registry club and pay their club dues?
We really shouldn’t have to contact our parties over a right they shouldn’t be allowed to make laws on anyway and I feel there is enough on the books to hold them accountable and charge them
This is just so ridiculous. The Constitution and Bill of Rights exist for these exact kind of times - to keep "we the people" from making a rash and naive decision when emotions are high.
We have to stand up together. We need people to say enough is enough and engage in proper protest. Get ahold of state reps and let them know it's only going to get worse for them and the community if they just sit around and don't support our constitution
Good video. I just sent Mitch (The Turtle) McConnell an email to his website explaining my support for his party will be greatly reduced should he support any additional gun control measures. The Republican(ts) are set to make major gains this fall but that could be completely wiped out if they cave and support gun control measures.
If republicans vote in gun control im done voting republican. If theyre gonna take my guns away, I at least want universal healthcare and legal pot. I only vote republican because most oppose gun control. Thats literally the only reason.

It should really terrify people when the president says your rights aren't absolute.
Im still schocked more are not angered about this.
The amendment and constitutional convention process makes them “not absolute”.

Red flag laws are by far the most dangerous threat to our 2A rights. Those laws allow any government entity to strip any individual of their rights,

Absolutely excellent point, since when do Corporations have more rights than humans? When did that happen? Who "okayed" that?
Quite ironic considering what the NRA actually is.

New gun bills are not the only problem. We already have laws on the book that already infringes our 2nd admin rights.
Exactly- they have already criminally, anti-CONSTITUTIONALLY, as full gore hypocrites- infringed against our great 2ND AMENDMENT. Which is proof they are already traitors, communists, Nazis, and a good number are even undercover Luciferian.
Too many in North America do NOT have a clue what evil is coming, and will be greatly due to their anti-Gun evil, if not the most key reason why-all in their plans.
I hear people all the time these days, who talk more like their from North Korea, than North America for how they talk about our great 2ND AMENDMENT; and that's even a good number in the so called u.s. government.
Of which is a true evil, and people should greatly beware (not implying that other Peoples Rights do not matter, just that those doing such so called things for Rights here in North America, are not at all what they claim to be- they are not at all for People from North America, and looks to be for no good reason whatsoever to this land. they do not even see they are bringing destruction to their own selves, how clueless they are- though could also be knowing evil ones all doing for the Luciferian evil- as they do exist)
Never mind all the other angles they are using in what I see is clearly an in operation attack of an internal tyranny/coup of many angles to destroy North America. Our great 2ND AMENDMENT to be infringe destroyed being one of their biggest angles, a mandatory angle so important to them for internally being able to destroy North America (even wonder what external ties they have planned in the matter, and when if so- it will happen).
None of this is a coincidence at all.

Not so.
This is the correct framing. Natural rights precede and impose legal rights.
