Growing San Pedro & Peyote in Small Containers Month 6
Вставка
- Опубліковано 2 жов 2024
- Part 6 of this mini-series where I grow a variety of cacti in small containers: San Pedro cactus (Trichocereus Pachanoi), Peruvian Torch (T. Peruvianus), Bolivian Torch (T. Bridgesii), Peyote (Lophophora Williamsii), Trichocereus Atacamensis, Taquimbalensis and Knuthianus.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you are interested in buying pure, well identified San Pedro seeds and seedlings, as well as San Pedro relatives, please email me at: sanpedromastery@protonmail.com
If you have a question, I will only reply to questions about cultivation. Please no questions about the psychedelic properties of these cacti.
I'd love to see a 1 year update on these - or when you move them to larger/bigger potting conditions to end it off. Thanks for the vids - keep it up!
Thanks for the suggestion, I will totally do a year update! :)
peyotes love air at the roots, therefore small containers and coarse gritty soil benefit them.
Hey Jerry, I really appreciate your videos, I get so excited when seeing a new one being posted. I believe your channel will be a go to for a lot more people in the future just keep up the amazing work your doing for everyone!
Couldn't have said it better myself :)
Thanks for the words of support, Cohan, they mean a lot! :)
Beautiful specimens would love to get some Lophophora williamsii seeds to help distribute the population to Florida in my garden 🤣
Try cactus kingdom. Good shit
lol my peyotes are much smaller and the same age, i need to improve my care for sure
jerry says he basicly abandoned carrying for his 2 months ago. how could u possibly be carrying less for yours?
@@jaimedelgado7529 don't know, but they are definetly smaller :/
Did you put them under the sun?
@@lowwwery yes! i guess they take more ou less 6 hours of sun a day
@@leticiasoto6913 Maybe that's why then, your climates may differ maybe? At the end of the day if they look healthy though, you're on your way (you'll be waiting a decade for maturity anyways 😂)
Hey Jerry thanks for the awesome videos! I was just gifted my first peyote seeds, 3 packs of 20. I’m very anxious to start them, however my region is going into winter. Can I start them now indoors, or should I wait for springtime?
So glad you made this update! I was about to ask for one. The peyotes look so cool! Can't wait to see the winter grow. Please do an update with these at 1 year too.
Okay, I will do an update on all these plants at 1 year. :)
I never wrap and got good results
Love ya, Jerry!
Those 'yotes look great. I hope we get to see the variegated one more in the future!
What is your personal veiw on grafting the L. Williamsii
Hey brother can you please do a vídeo for scale !? Thanks again Jerry
Jerry when can you expect to start seeing mold in these small containers?
how long can you leave the lids on the containers?
Red on peyote or most cactus means too much light
Thanks for your effort to make videos on this topic. Br to Catalonia from Bavaria
Thanks for your continued support! :)
Does anyone know where or have any seeds or seedlings they would be willing to sell or part with? I’m a green thumb and looking to diversify my plant collection... thanks!
Hi Jerry, great video as always... ive been growing peyote from seeds since last summer and mine appear healthy but they are much smaller than yours and they are less round and more conical in shape. Do you have any idea or tips on what I can do? thanks
It sounds like your peyotes are etiolating, which is quite common when they lack light. You need to increase a bit the light.
@@sanpedromastery6262 many thanks Jerry, I will do that. Love all the videos, Ive learned a lot!
I have a seed grown pachanoi. It is about 20 centimeters tall but İt’s width is only 3 cm diameter. What can i do to get it thick?
Hello! I follow from the first video "how to plant in small containers"! I planted at that time too but I didn’t realize if it’s necessary to drill holes in the bottom, can u help me? in the first video you said yes but in the others no
where can i get seeds i’m in the united states
Man looking at your cacti get me so excited for mine and to grow some of your X breeds seeds and your videos are super useful
I’d heat up a small object and a lighter and puncture the bottom of the container outside
What soil are you using, and what do you feed them once they sprout?
Hi bro. How do you deal with mold? Thanks in advance
Heyllo is there any other tipes of crafting beside apical?
My peyotes are almost two years old but the shape they grow into looks more like the San Pedors which are about the same age. They are almost 2.5 cm in size and they are rather elongated than ball shaped. Any suggestions what I might be doing wrong?
They elongate because they are searching for light. Try to put them on a brighter spot but avoid too much direct sunlight.
How long does it take for a San Pedro to develop a stalk? I have two (102 and 92 centimeters) and both have three branches each. Thanks.
I should have added that the cacti are in the Coachella Valley in Southern California and get 4-5 hours of sun in the winter, and 7-8 hours in the summer, with temperatures seldom freezing in winter and as much as 48 Celsius in summer.
Really need some helps on questions about Peyote seeds. Which ones specifically should I buy if I want something very similar to peyote growing in Nature? Any recommended website BTW
Peyoteway.org
Any Lophophora Williamsii seeds should do; the flattened appearance they have in nature is due to harsher conditions. Peyote seeds don't have the same ID problem as the Trichocereus seeds, so the huge majority of legit sites will sell you properly IDed seeds, although some vendors sell fresher seeds than others.
what a great bunch of babies!
I think it’s a Variegate !
i need a seeds of payottee any one help me i live in pakistan
could u use a bunch of tiny ones as medicine or do u need them to mature?
Mature... 4 to 20 years
