Always interesting to watch you work Matt, Im fairly new to restoring speakers myself, so it's a learning curve for me, just completed a pair of Wharfedale W3's, which have turned out well....I do fancy as pair of Dittons though!

I have just finished filling dents and sanding some Rogers LS6 cabinets .
A old joiner who has vast furniture restoration experience showed me how to layer 3 shades of wood filler ( white wood filler tinted with stain in 3 concentrations ) to closely match the grain patterns , which the sander reveals as it it smooths out the work piece . .
Not perfect , it never will be , but mucho better than globs of beige filler .
Anyways , you just layer the colored filler like the grain pattern basically with a teaspoon and costa coffee stirrer into the dents and gouges .
im leaving it 48hrs to cure and then its french polished to finish.

@@AndrewNeilBaird on bigger gaps I do use different filler colours in combination and drag a cocktail stick through it to make grain. Works well. If its that bad though I tend to consider reveneering

You've been "subconsciously collecting these drivers"? Sounds like something I'd tell my wife...
