Hey, that's me :D -- Those Tarantulas in the early game were too strong, I was on the backfoot from the start, almost impossible to catch-up on tempo. The redeploy on round 2 was smart and the field maintenance on the Tarantulas made a massive difference vs the Overload Artillery at the end. GG WP!
Hey KaMoS! Love hearing the other side of the story after the match :D Well played dude! Felt like you were asking us questions right up to the end, but yeah that high tempo start with Tarantulas is a tough task to stop for sure.
I spent half this match screaming for more scorpions haha ... your board looked so open to big giant plays for so long. The overlord pivot made a lot of sense with what your board was showing.
Yeah, Giants were defo what I was worrying about for the first half of the game while we were building pressure. Overlords on defence aren't too spooky to me so long as we have chaff control.
You're welcome it's no bother at all. Know it can be hard following my scatterbrain and the cursor can be a bit small to see at 1440p. A handy red arrow lets everyone know where my attention has been drawn to during the chaos of combat.
Oh boy. Lots of mistakes in the review of this one! Scorpion=Tarantula in my mind's eye so I constantly get their names muddled, Absorption Module isn't a damage item, we bought all our Snipers none of them were free, and we *were* given a Sabertooth that was promptly sold a round later. Live DRN was not on the ball at all today! Sorry for the oversights was fairly tired when playing this tourney!
what went from a regular match going smoothly went right into a stressful one wrong move kind of game. the Tarantula's have a staggering amount of hp and damage, when you afford 2 more on the first round with quick supply, that is just a wall of HP and damage to chew on and hope it goes down. i think only Steel ball's that are well placed enough to connect are the only things that might hard counter that turn one, even turn two depending on the specialists, otherwise that amount of HP that early is a pain to burn down the "You should respect your Elders" got me because Editor DRN will always be the older, and he'll also claim wiser, of the two of you XD Thank you for pointing out terminally velocity space metal rod ignores shields. actually never noticed that and would have been left confused watching things die outright to that just wondering why my safety bubble didnt save me. As always wishing you the best of luck and all the Sledgehammers!
Thanks dude, yeah the Tungston Rod from Orbit ignoring Shields caught me out a few times when I wasn't expecting it so I'm always on the watch for them side by side in the cards like this. Tarantula Tempo feels very strong, I think it's why Stormcaller Starts are so important with the opening cards. One of the few units that's good vs Aggro and Standard. Editing DRN also has the benefit of hindsight and infinite time to make he choices and pick up on Live DRN's mistakes :D
Haha, I'm willing to debate this one :P When playing I'm normally a day or two younger than when I edit, so Editing DRN is always his senior and should be respected! :D
Huh, I didn't know that redeploying along a flank doesn't reset the flanking spawn delay. Is that also the case when positioning to the other flank, or with the jump drive tech? And the overlord summon nearly did you in, that tower snipe had your line just falling apart. You're lucky to have had enough hp buffer to survive
The flank spawn delay doesn't reset as long as the unit stays within the same flank, if you go to the opposite flank the delay resets sadly. Part of what makes Redeploy so strong is the ability to bait and punish flank responses!
Yeah, some value was lost there. The reposition was decent but think it would've been best to sell the other set instead of letting them run headlong into our waiting Scorpions!

I enjoyed watching both players using redeploy to keep the situation fluid.
Yeah, it makes the game much more dynamic and broadens the choice flow chart for every round :D

Thank you for all the red arrows in this video.

I was thinking your recap was a bit strange but editing DRN was on the ball, respect your elders indeed! ;P
Still won and did well

Drn suffers from early onset dementia and started confusing his children 😔
It's okay, I'm happy in my sunset years :D
@1:25 Technically speaking, DRN, the one playing the game is older than the one editing the video 😜 He's YOUR elder!😂
Haha, I'm willing to debate this one :P

Rule One: Don’t make Editing DRN angry.
He has the high ground!
Really enjoyable game to watch
Thanks dude! Glad you enjoyed it.

shame they didnt sell balls or at lease flank with them to soften your push
