I saw this in fly tyer! Nice also saw your chubby Chernobyl in last seasons. Love your videos! Edit. I just saw that this was brought to us by them.. 😅
Beautiful! Are there any alternative materials to lady Amherst feathers? And, for the stinger, is 50lb braid line acceptable? I am trying to figure out if you want floppy line or stiff line for a stinger. Thanks Tim!
Looks great i have to copy that on a tube, is the name of the pink stiffer strands Rhea feathers? Can`t wait to try it on our fat hungry Seatrouts in my home river :)
As stated previously, intruders are generally tied like this Hoh bo Spey fly. You can tie them with eyes and/or lead to add weight to swing more deeply also.
I love Tim's style of teaching. Concise and practical.
One of the BEST patterns I’ve seen for a long time, great tie, THIS is a must have in MY fly box, many thanks, two thumbs WAY up !! L 👍👍🎣
Love this fly. I tie a chartreuse and black version for swinging for river smallies. Works great.
An absolute staple in my steelhead box. Great tutorial.
Absolutely brilliant looking fly
Amazing fly! Love to fish it in a swing.
Such a gorgeous fly
Fantastic! Thanks Tim
Nicely done!
Salmon? Steelhead? This thing looks like gold for all species. I can't wait to get a few of these tied. Thanks, Tim.

You continue to feed my skagit addiction

But I love the pattern!
Cool
I've seen several videos that show an eraser applied to the hook point. Is there any reason to not just remove the hook?
Is the extended hook unique to this fly or is there a whole family or sub-category of these? Regardless, what a great looking fly.
it's called a "stinger hook", allows you to replace the hook or change sizes, as needed.
Really common in a whole family of flies referred to as Intruders.

Use Fan... Good Idea! ^^
👍👍👏👏
Is there a reason you don’t break the thread off anymore?
That’s not a Spey fly m8 WTF !,,,,,,
No way is that a 25mm shank. I don't care what the package says. It's a 30 or more likely 35
