As a German I would put it like this: If we’re going for overall world cup career I‘d definitely take Klose but if we’re going for better campaign in their respective world cup winning year I‘d go for Villa. However Klose was already 36 when we won the world cup so nobody expected him to carry the team like he did in previous world cups. But he still ended up scoring 2 vital goals in 2014.

As a German I would put it like this: If we’re going for overall world cup career I‘d definitely take Klose but if we’re going for better campaign in their respective world cup winning year I‘d go for Villa. However Klose was already 36 when we won the world cup so nobody expected him to carry the team like he did in previous world cups. But he still ended up scoring 2 vital goals in 2014.
