Glasgow Film Theater is an independent cinema, sometimes showing the big movies but more often plays classics or independent movies. It's a lot cheaper than the big chain cinemas, it's spotlessly clean and a great place for a wee sleep in the afternoon 😴
Ah man that was amazing as usual. Cheers man. Keep pausing to comment, it's interesting to hear your thoughts. Your reaction to Isa was priceless and great insight about why people go to the bookies. I remember when I was younger, it seemed like it was mostly older guys you'd see going in but now so many young people seem to be gambling. Perhaps they always were but I'd imagine that with all the online stuff that it's so easy now. I was never a gambler thankfully. We are social creatures and naturally drawn to interact with others. I love my own company but every now and then it's important to interact. I get that through work and just enjoy the rest of my time with my family or doing my music or whatever. Cheers again and have a good one 😎
"Sconnae No Dae That" is a pun on "Gonnae no dae that", an iconic line from a sketch on Chewin the Fat (which the actors who play Jack and Victor also created and starred in).
They are filming at the Grovenor film theatre in Ashton Lane, the Glasgow Film Theatre is another small independent it’s a great wee cinema, Art Deco style.
i used to go o that cinema in Ashton lane when i was a kid , take an empty bottle of ginger and you would get in for half price . it as full of kids on a Saturday morning good memories,
The picture house in Ayr has went through a right good makeover met 2 lads the day et bustop heading into Ayr to wach something it's meant to be kitted out n no carry on.. ❤
As others have mentioned the GFT is a fine independent cinema which shows a range of standard, old, independent and avant garde movies. The cinema shown in the episode is however not the GFT but is a cinema close to Glasgow university.
Hey yo. See the Bookies in the show, that was the area I was born in. Dalmarnock. I used to stand outside when my gran had a bet. Unc and grandad used to go as well. Chinese shop next door. Perfect.
Good to see you again man. Hope you had a great time away with your girlfriend. That’s a nice thing to do. That’s really funny I was just reacting to this episode from a guy in America last night. And now you show it . What’s the odds of that happening. Great. A great episode. I do the same sometimes I call to an old man I would say he must be around 70 years old . I go knock on the door and he answers but he knows me well. And we catch up on the Gaelic football. Of course we are two big TYRONE fans and he is into the rugby too. So we talk about that also. He lives alone. Nice man. I look in on him from time to time to see if he needs anything or wants anything from the shop. It’s nice to be nice it gos along way. No harm to be nice to poeple mainly the old. Anyway another great episode of still game. It’s your friend Eamonn here from Ireland up in Tyrone. Till next time have a good one lad. See you again cheers man.🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪☘️☘️☘️✌️✌️✌️👍👍
not being funny bro but a man paying for everything is putting a girl on a pedistal,no good ever comes from that cus its not treating her as an equal-(its disrespectful beleive it or not)just saying....and i think i can give you that insight cus i been married 30 years as an equal to my wife.the key is to work as a team 😉
Sconae no dae that is a reference to a series of classic sketches from Chewing the Fat (the sketch show Jack and Victor first appear on TV. Google Gonnae no dae that, for the sketches this references. There is a video with all the clips. Very funny.

The guy in Isa's magazine is Richard Whitely. He was the original and longest so far, presenter of Countdown.

9.30 that was pretty much my reaction too 🤯 😆
Mate, glad to hear you enjoyed your time in Switzerland. I’ve been here 6yrs now, love the place - where did you visit?
I absolutely love your reactions and your accent Eddy. The Cinema is in Ashton Lane in the West end. Quite fancy. Nice pubs and restaurants,
Thanks a lot Alfie 🥳

theres a difference between being gas lighted and being a pathetic doormat, thats why most domestic abuse victims dont see it till its too late.
How did Jack not instantly recognize Winston?
Gft is Glasgow film theatre mate , nothing more , nothing less. Eh? Owned cinemas back in the day?? It stands for GLASGOW FILM THEATRE!
Loads of people do that, and for a lot longer than six years.
Here today, scone tomorrow.
