You're videos are great. You make it possible to actually maintain and repair these amazing cars, whilst on a budget, which makes it possible for many more people to actually buy these cars and keep the brand alive. Keep up the good work.
Excellent guide, thank you! Did mine on ramps, remember the safety specs to avoid getting bits of crud in your eyes! Just one broken wire on mine so added a new bit, soldered and heat shrunk, working perfectly, £300 saved.
Glad it was helpful
Love the Giulietta vids. Warranty expired last month for me so I would like to know how to fix common problems. Thanks mate!
I did this on mine lying on my drive with the car on ramps. It helps if you bolt the gear lever mechanism back in place whilst changing the sensor, this saved me a load of hassle.
I was going to tackle this myself but this looks like a right faff without the car being up in the air! Plus my knees ain't what they used to be! Thanks for the insight!!
Thanks, mine had a broken wire. Did it in no time after watching your video. 👍🔧
Nice job, you make things in very simple way.
Great video again, never really been a big fan of the brand to be bair but they seem to be growing on me a bit, the 159 especially. 👍
Only had my Termostaat last weak now she drive perfect my 2.0😀💪👍
Had to leave my Alfa GT alone at the Airport for 6 weeks. Cant wait to see her again :)
How can u leave your car at airport, 100% stolen or broken
Put a class 5 alarm on it drive my 147 2.0 from 2006 always I a Gerage with Camera's she looks like a New one😍😒
I have a 12 plate giulietta automatic 94k been an excellent car , first fault ever to come up is this one. I had to drive 300 miles home very concerned . the car seemed to faulter whilst going up hill not much just a little bit of missing then carry on fine, would this be due to this stop start sensor. ???. thank you
Awesome stuff, although my g doesn't throw the engine code up it only throws the stop start not working display
Great video, but out of curiosity, does anyone know what is that "deep" noise coming from under the car?
Hi,mate
I have replaced this sensor but error still come back sometimes.
Previous owner said that he started to have to problem after battery change?
What can i check ?
Top man!
Thanks
Pff good Job! ,happy that my 147 2006 is simpeler to Fix 👍
They sure are
Thanks very helpful
Glad to hear that!
Hi Neil, hey at 11-37 when you under the car there was a buzzing noise in the background. My 156 v6 makes this noise if I have the ignition on and seems to come from the intake area. Do you know what it is and will having the ignition on for any time potentially break whatever is buzzing? Thanks Steve, Sydney Australia
its prob just the vacuum for the turbo
I have the same fault, but on my display it shows the correct gears. How can this be? Or are there other things that can cause this error?
Hello....please i need your help...i have alfa romeo qv and i have a p1305 error...neutral signal learn...please help me what i have to do? Thank you
Thank you for guide. Do you have part Number? The car is from 2015.
My own would start if the engine is cold and then would misfire and stall for no apparent reason. However, if I drive it on a highway the car drives perfectly. When the issue happens I get a check engine light and the code is P2292.21. I replaced the fuel injectors control pressure sensor located on fuel injector rail, but it didn’t solve it. I checked both fuel pumps and proper pressure, fuel delivery are both present. Do you think you can guide me?
Disabling start and stop, this error can be bypassed ?
I have a question. Can this fault P081D(faulty or broken gear position sensor) cause MAF faulty code P0101.I have changed the MAF,bought and installed a brand new one,but from time to time i get MIL light on,indicating fault on gear position sensor and MAF fault code...i have a Giulietta 2.0 jtdm
Hi dear, i have same fault (P081D) what i have to replace pls?
Thanks for sharing. I have a mito and my stop start wouldn't work after cold mornings disconnected and reconnect battery all would be well replaced battery and all is fixed. Does fiat ecuscan software work on these alfa?
Yes it work.
@@ItaliaAutos thanks for the reply Neil. Been watching since I bought a 13 plate 1.3 mito in november
Thanks
Can you help me again please:) I want to change the steering servo oil (Alfa Brera 2,4) from atf to the green liqui moly. Can i just dismount the pipes and start steering (while the engine is running) to flush the circuit. Or is it a bad idea because the pump will run dry? + How can i deaerate/ exaust the air from the system afterwards.
Thank you very much for your great videos and your support.

Thank you for this detailed video! Do you know if that applies to TCT version as well? If yes, what are the differences?
No I don't think so
@@ItaliaAutos thank you!
Hi can someone help me plz my Alfa Romeo 159 jtdm 1.9 16v has ABS ASR VDC AND HILL HOLDER Unvailable for no reason when i was driving, i can start and drive but i have no security
Stupid question what’s the sensor called or part number thanks in advance
I have u3fff error. The lamp turns on within 6 days. My car 1.4 170 hp downpipe and no catalytic. Please help me.
Hello. This fault appeared on my Guilietta recently. I never use the start/stop option so it doesn't bother me. What does bother me is that now the DNA is not working. Will I have to replace the sensor in order for the DNA to work again or is there another way around it ?
Nope. Ecu shuts it off.
@@ItaliaAutos I managed to replace the sensor with a new one by following your instructions on this video. Thanks a mil. It's my first attempt at anything like this and couldn't have done it without you!
Hi, I have this issue with my fiat punto evo 2010. Would it be a similar way to fix it?
Thanks
Yes
Hi, same fault here!!! Is it the same spare part and procedure for the TCT gearbox?
never done one on a TCT but id imagine not.
Hi, i had a few questions about my giulietta that i was wondering if you could help with?
Firstly, once in a blue moon i would get a p1064 error code and then shortly after, dissapears. Do you know the cause and solution of this?
Also, i wanted to know if there was a way i could bring a cable from under the car into the boot? Is there an existing hole or grommet? (I originally tried bringing a power cable from the engine bay into the cabin but couldnt find a suitable firewall so have resorted to bringing the power cable inderneath the car, into the boot).
Bonjour
Vous ne montré pas la position du capteur sur le cable :( je ne sais pas a quelle endroit clips le plastique jaune :/ a quelle distance je doit refermer le clips jaune sur le cable avec les lignes crantée ? Svpppp merci :)
Any idea on how to disable this stop/ start system permanently ? its driving me nuts...
only to map it out.
Hello,
I have same issue on my Giulietta but it's other Engine 1.6 Jtdm 105hp.
It's possible to be the same problem? Code P1850-15 it's universal for this issue or depends on the specific Engine?
possible
Great channel mate.
What diagnosis tool do you use and what woud you recommend to an weekend mechanic that owns a couple of italian cars like me. (T-jet and Mutiair)
Keep it up m8!
Multi ecu scan all day long it does everything
@@ItaliaAutos what do you use to connect to the obd2 and laptop
@@ItaliaAutos
Tanks, I thought so.
Also, same question as Stjepan.
Buying cabels can be so confusing, maybe you can put a link on a proper bundle in the sea of obd cables online..
@@frosty98412 I use about 4 types of cable. All available via the multi ecu scan website.
My stop start light has just come on after having a new battery fitted? Any ideas on that one ? Tia
Take it back to Where it was fitted. 👍
@@ItaliaAutos it just a needed a bit of a run, stop/start all good again now, thanks for the reply though, appreciated, cheers
hello your repair applies to the mito Quadrifoglio 170cv I have the same problem this sensor is the same for my mito? thanks in advance.
Yes
ok thank you do you think it's the same sensor as giulietta's? THANKS
There are 2 types fit pretty much the same
@@ItaliaAutos ok you don't know the reference for the bike because I can't find it on the internet? thanks in advance.
This may sound trivial, but can you do a vid on how to remove and replace the manual shift knob on a Giulietta? Thanks bud!
Hi video requests are for Patreon members. Please join and ill see what I can do. Thanks
I have the same issues on mine, I also would like to know what the day time running light fault is so I could get this fixed too. Thanks for the video 👌
i have the same issues on my mito, i second this comment ( as they pretty much the same, and no its not a dead battery its brand new)
Normally the light it's self or the ecu under the dr8vers headlight
@@ItaliaAutos i have the aftermarket black crystal DRL's, the LEDs work with headlamps but jus daytime running some days they work some days they say no :,(
@@demodansoundwavemusic9677 Well seems a problem with the can line. Maybe u need to put some resistor but u need a wiring diagram to know where u need to put them.
@@Malossianoplus thanks for the suggestion, funnily enough i thought it might the turbo overheating the LEDs as its only the drivers side I've got new resistors but the DRLs started working again so left it lol
Ive had this problem multiple times and fed up paying to fix it. can we disable this?
might be something a good remap company can map out.
hey, do you have any videos on possible electrical faults on alfas? my guiletta wont start 😓
Did it start in the end ?
@@DrumToTheBassWoop not without being jumped from another battery
@@victoriac3715 sounds like a dead battery mate, nothing serious.
Do you have general failure as error? I had that ones on a Mito it was not really the Battery but the alternator
Ops I am very late sorry
Last time I had a similar issue, I just removed the exhaust, it was a 5 minute job, putting it back wasn't hard either. I don't know about Guilietta but is there any reason you didn't recommend people removing the exhaust?
I should of done really would of made better viewing. But as you can see you don't need to.
@@ItaliaAutos okay got it, video wasn't bad it just looked like a pain in the butt. If you are doing this on your driveway, removing the exhaust makes the job 10x easier. Even for you if you removed the exhaust, you would save your energy for the next customers car, and it wouldn't take much longer I think, but hey it's just my uneducated guess.
How do you disable Start/Stop forever? I hate it!
Don't think you can. Maybe talk to a remap company.
You can do it in Multiecuscan. Just disable start-stop module in proxy alignment menu. It can be enabled back if you need to.
How much would you charge for this repair?
around 2 hours of labour on this one
P2940 error
How can I fix ?
pls help.
Book it in with me and ill gladly take a look.
Wouldn't it make life slightly easier to just pop that exhaust flange and give a little more room to work? Maybe you don't because the bolts always break?
Yes it would but 9 times out of ten the bolts snap.
Fuck sake i just paid 300 quid for a specialist to do this job.
Should have watched this first
If you removed the exhaust you would have saved your gloves
Bloody hell.... thoracic surgery looks easier
