Damn but that gets airborne fast. Especially considering you start at 7,134 feet elevation. But that's what Pilatus designed them to do. Short field performance and flexible on payload, bigger than a PC-12 inside and the reliability of a twin jet. Greased the landing too. If you are keeping on doing videos like this I'm going to be a happy subscriber.
Our Australian Flying Doctors have just taken delivery of their first of 4 love to have a ride in one but that means being very sick or injured so I will pass thanks for the videos
ask Pilatus Australia Pte in Adelaide if there is a chance to fly in one. currently there are 2 PC-24s registered in Australia which do not belong to the RFDS, which now has 2 each in WA and SA/NT WA has reordered 1 more and SA/NT still has one option open
Pilatus PC 24 my absolute favorite. Really enjoy your videos. Would love to see stationary cams observing performance of aircraft, left wing view, front view and cockpit view front and rear. This jet is so amazing would love to see these various veiws. Can't wait for more videos. Awesome job.
Wonderful aircraft. Thank you very much for posting. I think having several fix cams will work better for the viewer. You can get nauseous with the moving camera.
The PC-24 is a pretty impressive airplane. Love the cockpit with all the LCD instrumentation. The landings were some of the smoothest I have seen. I believe the Phenom & Premier jets have Williams Engines which are great. Seems really comfortable to fly in and very responsive to the touch. Pilatus is one of my favorite plane manufacturers! They build aircraft for performance!
Thanks for the upload, I love the pilots eye view. I have been hoping to find something like this. This aircraft really seems to float for that last 10m of altitude prior to landing
Given the numbers of videos you put up, you must realy like your new plane. Nice short take-off there. I'm a complete layman when it comes to aircrafts, but it looked quite impressive.
I'm glad he does. The PC-24 model is brand new, so there isn't really anyone else who releases a lot of material. Pilatus say they have released ~23 units in 2018, so this plane is one of those 23 in existence.
Thanks for posting, (personal pref....but the POV camera is awful). Otherwise, awesome...like how you two work together in the cockpit. 78 knot TD was impressive.
Well I would say you always need to consider: Aircraft weight, Pressure Alt and ISA deviation and Aircraft speed. I climbed through FL 360 after 12 (!!!) minutes from break release last week with CJ 3. The PC-24 is quite a fat girl, neither a slim Latina nor a sporty midwest farmers daughter. Take a look at Thrust/ Weight ratio and it´s easy to see that she will never really compete with a CJ 4 or even a Phenom 300 in time to climb performance. Being airborne in 8 seconds from brake release or rocketing the skies at way above 5600 ft/min in a CJ 3 or even around 7100 ft/ min in a CJ 4 is more of a sporty rocket to me. Never the less having flown more than 1100 hours on PC-12´s and several hundreds on CJs I´d really like to get my hands on a PC-24, no doubt about it.
@@Patrick-pm1sn how many times does a CJ3 or a Phenom 300 land in the desert on an unpaved runway? IMHO, the PC-24 is specialized for a very unique role that to my knowledge few other light twin jets can undertake. How many emergency trolley beds occupied by sick or injured patients can fit into either the CJ3 or the Phenom 300? Patrick sadly you are attempting to compare paved runway biz jets to a multipurpose multiterrain light twin jet that is many times more functional albeit somewhat less quick than the runway maidens you seems so enamored with.
Nice of you to post. Sexy plane! I'm not a fan of head-mounted cameras. Too much whooshing back & forth. I had to skip after T/O to the approach. Even then, i quit after you turned off the active. :(
had to look up KMMH altitude you guys were at 10K 1:15 but airport is at 7,135' ok makes sense now even with a 4k min vertical climb rate love those PC 24's there are a couple PC 12's that fly around my airport PHKO
Great airplane. Please consider an alternative to a helmet cam. The motion back and forth is a bit much. Thanks for making this cockpit video available in spite of the motion.
Thanks for the video but a still camera would have been more comfortable for viewing. What a nice piece of an aircraft ! Is it a night time illusion but it seems to land like a STOL .
Nice quality of video but different fix camera will be more confortable to view. On my point of view will be better with out the music or a different one, this music is like you call a company and they put you on old. Looking forward to see other flight
Performance takeoff. Low speed means it will climb faster. On the landing you can continue below glide path once past decision. Touching down sooner to allow a shorter runway roll out. Best especially on a shorter than normal runway.
Head mount / cam movement brutal. The mumbling and voice-activated clipping not much better. Would loved to have seen this from a fixed mount. Bounced from the vid right after you exited parking...
KMMH has a Beacon on the east side of the runway. And the hills on the east side are much much closer to the airport than they appear in the video. Transient was evidently parked at the south end of the runway. There have been winds in excess of 120mph at this airport in the winter.
Seems very complicated for a new modern design, takes forever to get this thing going. The CJ4 and Phenom I fly don't require nearly as much button pushing to get started.
Lovely aircraft. 100.1% power take off and 98% in climb. Shame about the jerky camera. ATC traffic alert description is typical of what is wrong about ATC phraseology. How is anyone supposed to understand what "base leg parallel" means? What the pilot needs is WHERE the traffic is in relation to him, and altitude: ie: 1 o'clock, 3 miles at 2000 feet crossing your right to left".
The Avionics on this aircraft are Horrible. The backup AI is all the way on the left, real convenient for the copilot. What's up with Xbox yoke? Side stick would have been better.
@@PlaneJunkies I agree. This cockpit layout looks like alot of it was an after thought. There is WAY too much information on the screens. Are these screens Touch or is there some sort of MFCU?
Nope it was designed for it, basically the PC-12 run the same system . not a touch screen and thank goodness , there is a MFC to control 2 ways to do it and also the buttons on the side worst case . alot of people dog the Honeywell system but I do enjoy it over Garmin. @@Hossman757
@@PlaneJunkies It would be nice if the chest harness go pro sells wasn't so low. That would be a good option for at least the instrument portion of the video I would think.

Amazing STOL performance, 13 seconds from release to rotate. 4300 ft/min pretty sporty, all from 7134 ft. :-)
sea level will be fun lol
What a nice aircraft. That cockpit layout is super!
Awesome to see flights into North Las Vegas and awesome to know we have amazing pilots based in Vegas too! Aloha!
Wow that plane is incredibly quiet. When I win the lottery this will be my first purchase, piloted by myself.
Great flight amazing plane must be great to fly her, thank you for bringing us along cheers
its a fun plane

Such a quiet cockpit. That looks like one comfortable aircraft.
That was a really nice 'fight', thank you : D
Great video. I myself liked the head mounted camera. It's a change from the typical fixed camera.
What a beast! Hardly can imagine you even get paid for flying this dreamjet :-). That was 90 kias VR and 78 kias touchdown. WOW!

James Wikstrom as a matter of fact, they're the best planes on the planet
When i win the lottery i'll lease a pc 24 and fly around the world sop. Performance of it is insane and it looks like a real private jet as well.

Always nice to fly along with a Pro pilot.
pc-24 very cool aviation “ I like it “
Looked like a spectacular takeoff. Wish we could have had a side view of it.

Peace and calm : )

yup

Minarets mountains to the north of Mammoth Mtn, good call..

nice :)).... 12:26 wow lots of distortion thru the front,, is that just the camera ?
The old windows were not so good Pilatus replaced them with new ones

about 4 weeks

Do you ever fly into KSTS(Sonoma county)
What are those strips on the top of the windshield? Heating elements?
Yes, windscreen de-icing
Antenna?
heating

Take your pick Vy or Vx, you can look them up on Google

Do you need a type rating to fly this ?
Every jet requires one
Is that would be the same process to learn to fly Boeing 747? Or Airbus A380?
pretty much

Where is the beacon located? At some points this video makes it look like the wingtips each have a beacon...
correct in the wing tips
