Technically it's Ra-OH. I'm used to just saying Raoh, though. Jagi is Jah-gee. I loved Fist of the North Star growing up. Spent all my paper route money on the manga, then after I had them all they started coming out in English. Damn it.
I'm a huge Fist of the North Star fan, I was excited when this line was announced but that kind of passed when I saw the prices, and even more so seeing some of the funky stuff going on in some of the sculpts. I still have a couple of the HNK 20XX figures from the early 2000s and even though these guys are more poseable, the aesthetics just aren't there to justify the cost to "upgrade". I hope we get to see something from Storm's line sooner or later, I collect a lot of their stuff already so I can definitely see myself jumping on that line instead.
Forget about Storm my guy, no one knows if they still have the HNK license and the stuff they have planned was meant to be in the 1:6 th scale, instead of their usual 1:10/1:12 stuff. You can always get the Revoltech figures, they are still available at reasonable prices from places like Mandarake and still look good despite being around 10 years old.
@@en6853 And they fall apart during posing and play. They look good but they are so small and have such awful joints that snap and get loose with use/posing and in certain temperatures... it's just not worth getting them. They have a lot of them which is nice, but I found myself having to glue certain joints together before inserting them to avoid them becoming weak.
Might be the only pass from me on the Medicos Fist of the North Star lineup. And for one simple reason: no helmet or cape. Plus, this outfit he has here must be from like one issue in the magna because it's super stylized and I don't actually recall with clarity him every wearing this particular set. It must be near the end of the run because it's just not coming to me. The shirt-off variant does look a lot like his final battle version.
I'm all in, yeah, I know they are not perfect, no toy is, but in some aspects they look better than the old Revoltech figures and some other SAS from the JoJo's collection. About Storm's line, the last thing I heard was it won't be moving forward, it's a rumor but Storm hasn't mentioned anything about it either, they keep getting new anime/manga licenses such as Kengan Ashura or Cyber Blue (which Tetsuo Hara is also author) but their focus is on video game based lines and yet they haven't completed a full roster of characters on their Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat lines, you know the lines Storm debuted with.
I love this line but only because I really like the manga/anime. If Storm's was already out, Idk if I would get the SAS ones, especially for the price. We've been waiting a long while for Storm, though, and Fist of the Northstar style really fits with how SAS does their JoJos. I'm personally not disappointed with these being the only ones as of now.
I love some of my SAS JoJo's (especially Parts 2, 4 & 5 which have the best sculpts) but I don't particularly care for them doing any other franchise. I think they never tried to evolve engineering-wise and even if this is a NEW figure it looks really outdated. Sure, the paintjob is beautiful but the characters don't look gritty enough, it's like a too clean, watered down version of them. Articulation is limited and the joints lack stability. I'm really looking forward to Storm Collectibles releasing Kenshiro, if that ever happens.
I cannot resist Fist of North Star, even though this line is not perfect, I still collect it. No idea what is going on from Storm Collectible but they make decent enough figure so far.
I personally really like the Kenshiro figure, but not enough to go in on this line completely. Kenshiro’s weird upper bicep action bugs the hell out of me lol But he does have a great presence on the shelf. Too bad the left shoulder pad snapped off. But it was strangely done anyways, so it’s whatever. They look great. But too many flaws for the price. Any idea when the Storm Collectables versions are supposed to hit?
Great review, a question; i order mine on amazon and of course something happened, the ball joint not the small one conecting head with neck but the large one conecting neck with torso pop off and is really difficult pull back on the socket, any advice how to do it?.
I think Fist of the North Star is way better than Jo Jo's. But I guess they have a similar style to both series, so they'd all look good on a shelf together...
Not only might be better, FotNS was Araki's main inspiration when he was creating JJBA, you can notice it in his drawing style in the first three parts.
Speaking of Storm Collectibles, Any fighting game fans have characters they want to see made ? I would like to see them or S.H. Figuarts do a Strider Hiryu figure
Certainly not, it seems that Storm Collectibles is always after new licenses and forgetting about the ones they already had, I haven't seen Blanka, Fei Long or a Dhalsim yet and I feel like I never will.
I actually had the same problem with the knee. Once it pops out, it’s so hard to get it back in place. I’m a huge FOTNS fan, but this line has been very underwhelming so far. Jagi was released in October and I haven’t hear any news related to new releases since then.
I like these sas versions, but I rather wait for the storm line before I start collecting FOTNS figures. I really like the Jagi sas though, very tempting.
Hopefully Storm Collectables include some blood gimmicks or accessories with their line like they do with MK. I can't get into a FoTNS line that doesn't pay homage to the movies gratuitous violence.
Was very disappointed with the Kenshiro figure in this line and I feel mostly the same about this one. I’m just not a fan of the arm/shoulder socket articulation. That totally takes me out of the the enjoyment of the figure. Also can’t believe Raoh didn’t come with any other power or multi-fist punching fx like Kenshiro came with. I was looking forward to the storm collectibles Kenshiro figure, but that ones pretty oversized, isn’t it? Was hoping for a whole Fist of the North Star line in the 1/12 scale.
What I heard on another channel is that Storm was planning to make their HNK figures in the 1:6 scale instead of 1:12/1:10 scale, hence why the Kenshiro prototype looked so big. As someone who's never watched Fist of the North Star, I thought this was Cable from Marvel for a moment.
Really?, you're saying you've watched JoJo's Bizarre Adventure but not Fist of the North Star, you don't know your roots then.

There's not much else to say besides what you said and I 100% agree with what you're saying.
Thanks for the review Anthony.
Hopefully for Storm Collectibles will get a super upgrade for 30 points of articulation of Kenshiro of Fist of the North Star!
