I'm not sure what you are aiming for but I suspect that you have very few options. I have used two-part epoxy to stiffen leather (it makes it like cardboard) but it loses all the good properties of leather. To thin leather you need some skiving tools. This would be for small pieces and strips of leather. Search for 'skiving knife'
I think only you can be the judge of that I'm afraid. I am surrprised if it is fuzzier than the piece I show here though. Best idea is to try the paste on a small area and see how it goes. Good luck.

My leather is very soft and the suede side is VERY fuzzy. Would this method work for me?
