NEW PUPPY? Get Your Puppy On A Schedule NOW!!

Did you recently bring home a new puppy? In this video I share what our new puppy schedule looks like and how our daily puppy routine helps with several challenges new puppy owners face. The sooner you give your puppy structure and a schedule to follow the quicker your new puppy will learn your routine and know what to expect from you. If you recently brought home a new puppy or plan to bring home a puppy soon then you want to establish a daily routine for you and your puppy. If you follow a daily schedule, by 16 weeks old your puppy should have developed a pretty good pattern of potty breaks, playtime, training and naps for each day. You can use our daily puppy schedule template or make your own puppy schedule, the important thing to take from this video is to make sure you have a plan and follow a schedule for your puppy.
We are often asked these common questions from our community about a puppy schedule: "how many times should we train our puppy each day?" and "how much time should my puppy spend in a crate?" or "how often should our puppy have a potty break?". Today, we'll answer your questions by showing you how to create a puppy schedule that includes the most important parts of your puppy training, crate time, potty breaks and alone time. You want to take advantage of every training opportunities that present itself throughout the day. We will talk about scheduling alone time for your new puppy to prevent separation anxiety, which is an important part of raising a new puppy. Remember, your puppy is watching you and always learning, sometimes we do not realize we are actually teaching our dog undesired behaviors without meaning to! You want to be sure that they are getting everything possible from you to be successful. Setting your new puppy up for success right away will prevent several failures for your puppy.
