it looks like a SQ series Squier. Those were made in Japan in the early to mid eighties and they are pretty good guitars, they don't have much to do with todays Squiers
The riff Nathan Willett is playing sounds an awful lot like lazy eye @ the beginning, same notes , the rest of the song is different though! Cold war kids fuckin rule.
