I would like to think that I would have noticed such a high profile person like Richard Gere. I have seen all of his work. Honestly, I would have probably walked right on by like all of those people. We have become desensitized to pan handlers....that in itself I feel shame for. I give to charity, I pay it forward in small ways, but what makes me ignore another human being down on their luck, possibly homeless...why can't I stop and have a conversation with a person without first thinking about what may happen.....will I HAVE to start caring? What about that makes me uncomfortable? I am generalizing....I will make more of an effort to help out another brother and sister....next time I will stop and strike up a convo, I may not have money but I can be kind. Can't wait to see this doc!

I know that Starbuck's. I was homeless and lived in a shelter near there around the time this movie was made. In fact, my homeless time was spent in several of the locations where this movie was shot. This movie is a work of art. It authentically reflects my experience in many ways.
