Well that’s because the media doesn’t flush it around like they do against certain other players they have a prejudice against. And everyone falls for whatever media tells them
Half of these aren't even racket smashes, but rants againts umpires and the like. He used to break rackets early on in his career, but after 2003 it was a very rare occurrence.
Exactly. Smashing/breaking/throwing the racket heavily is different from just dropping it lightly. During the early stage of his career he did the former (maybe except 2009 when he really broke that racket against Djokovic at Miami), but he's overall very good with his racket. After 2009 he literally only dropped his racket lightly out of frustration. The only time I've ever seen Federer break his racket was that Miami match against Djokovic in 2009, that was utterly shocking I remember.
He only smashed or threw them heavily on the ground during the early stages of his career, except 2009. Other than that, he just dropped his racket a few times after 2009, never breaking or throwing it again. Compared to players like Djokovic, Safin, Shapovalov, etc, that's nothing. I have tremendous respect for Djokovic and he's my idol but facts is facts
' Don't tell me the fucking rules' I'm surprised he didn't get docked a game for that . Or was this behaviour allowed back then ? Today he would have been punished for talking like that to the umpire
Because he was right in that argument, Del Potro challenged the call after like 4-5 seconds and Federer says that a couple of matches ago he was not allowed to challenge after like 1-2 seconds, so it's hypocritical, right?
@user-pi5zj2gx4s sorry no its not right . Need to understand that you can't just behave like this with foul language towards the umpire. He loses a point , a game or match . He doesn't lose his life. Get a grip mate
I'm not trying to suck up to Federer, but his racket-breaking is actually very impressive. On televion I've only seen him do it once, against Djoko at the 2009 Miami semifinal (as shown in this video), when he was clearly frustrated due to his 2008 season because of his nemesis Rafa. For someone who rarely breaks a racket (although he used to have short-temper as a junior), he broke that racket in one throw. That's not wuss. That's actually great strength lol. Try breaking a racket, it's harder than it seems. If it's an old racket for sure it's easy, but pros always get new rackets per every tournament they enter.
I have never seen such a collection. Made very well😃
Well done video! It was interesting to see. Thank you!
I can't believe Roger was capable. Well, live and learn.
I love this, its so real. Good to let the steam out 😅
Most of these are from earlier in his career right? He matured and cut this out.
That is not true.
Yeah, he stopped breaking racquets after he retired.
No totally not true!

What is better? To be born good or to overcome your evil nature through great effort
No way Paarthurnax in a UA-cam tennis comment section
I would have never ever thought that Roger would do anything like that. Get annoyed, yes, but to smash his racquet I can't believe it
The sport can be mentally torturing at times, and most these were when he was young, when he still had anger issues
He did it a lot!

@@eazytheretigeryea right 6 times😂 compare it to djokovic bud
@@n1tr0rl._ The point is, who gives a shit. So a player smashes a racket. Why people get so upset over that is beyond me.
The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world.
I like roger❤
that was rather satisfying

@@itiswhatitis8875 not just that. This video has all his rage moments while they titled it "Epic Roger Federer Racket Smashes"
He smashed it so many times but his fans say that it is graceful if he does it 😂😂😂

Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace
Oh dang I didn't know he had 3:49 - 4:08 in him 😅
Roger might send you a check to take this down :).
he throws his racquets, it doesn't mean he breaks them lol

I agree, at least they are honest with their frustration. Not healthy to bottle it up, let the racquet pay 😂
