What's really unbelievable is just how many millions of Mustangs Ford managed to sell in the mid seventies. It would have been better if Ford just gave it another name.
At least 50% of these cars were perfectly fine, what a load of rubbish.
6:40 The Stags reputation is very much untrue. The engine was one of the greatest small bore V8s ever made, and I don't know where these electrical faults thing came from either. As an owner of 2 Stags the only thing wrong with them was the cooling circuit which could easily be fixed with the simple addition of a Triumph Dolomite header tank.
When Yugo first appeared in the USA, I saw them in the mall. The door for the fuel was located outside the rear passenger window. I looked in the back seat and could see the gas pipe. I commented, "Yugo, _you go_ elsewhere for a car."
The funny thing is they’re number one worst car is actually the best car. There was nothing wrong with the Aztec other than it was ugly. The exact same drivetrain was put in almost every other branch of GM and sold successfully for many years. I still see a few of these driving around!
And the Aztec is not with Dunn in Pontiac general motors, bad habit of taking the exact same vehicle and putting four different badges on it is what did it it was much more than the Aztec alone
Some are not as bad, as some... or always get mentioned. For example: the Renault Dauphine is the wrong car for the US market. Over here in Europe it was alright. The Robin doesn't tip as quickly as yo might think. I never did over the last 30 years. The Trabant were never made of used car parts. They were definitely all new. It wasn't made all metal, like a holy Corvette... think about that? - The GDR (1949-90) were a communist state. They didn't give a damn about cars. You were lucky to own one at all. And in 1958, when the production started, ir was a regular car for it's time. You can never get a whole sight over cars around the world. I've got an 1957 Plymouth in my collection. Nothing special, for you probably a commuter standard car (Plaza), but over here? - Sometimes the roads are much to small to handle it. We haven't got these huge wide road systems, or are even able to find a parking spot at first glance. My father owns an old Hudson Commodore from 1952, ask him about the ability on the tiny roads here in Europe? So they are many things do discuss, about what is, and isn't a road worthy car, innit?
One thing about the Pinto: Honestly, nothing wrong with the car. It was more the lack of interest from Ford, about this lawsuit they had, they didn't give a damn about their customers. We got one here, also a Mustang II and a four door Maverick. All in all nothing wrong with them. They are all reliable yet. But never got a current customer for them, while people talk always nonsense, and did never drove one mile themself at all. Copy, paiste, presented on UA-cam! Like stupid parrots...
you neglected to mention that these were cars from the States. barely any of these made it to the outside world, you know, the place where 90% of the population lives.
and yet you figured it out on your own! Good for you!
My Chevy Citation survived falling off a lift, a garage fire, a record softball sized hail storm, a whiteout snowstorm where it was mistakenly driven across a frozen wheat field, a flood where it was floated a quarter mile down a river without the engine dying. It ALWAYS started and ran. Thing was a tank. 2.8 V6, I believe.
Pontiac Aztec #1? You are now on Walter White's hit list.
The reliant robin wasn't easy to tip over, it was very stable. It was popular in the uk because you could legally drive it with a motorbike license.
A lot of the American built cars never came to Australia but we did get the absolutely awful British cars they now all extinct and the is one car which we actually owned the Ford Festiva ( Aspire) and we thought it was a great car after all 4 cylinder engines rule in Australia we have two 4 cylinder vehicles now both extremely reliable and two vehicles you don't get in America both are very good Japanese makes one is built in Japan and the other one is made in lndia and l have owned a couple of British cars and all of them were crap and three of the manufacturer is gone and actually the Plymouth Cricket was closely related to three of them they were horrible Hillmans absolute rubbish
Had a 83 Citation. It got me through.
no car left me speechless, its either shit or its not.
1989 Ford Thunderbird? For real? Go away.
A guy walks into his local auto parts store, the sales person behind the counter asks, may I help you? The guy says yes, I would like a windshield wiper for my Yugo, please. The sales person thinks for a second and replies. OK, sounds like a fair trade. :-) L8RG8R.
you forgot the Chrysler K series cars what trash they were.
My brother actually owned a yellow and black trimmed one exactly like the one at the end of your video!!!!!
It was soo ugly and such a piece of shit!!!!
