Talking about your parents was so healing. I’ve been feeling guilty about making sure I give my mom the whole world, but I don’t think it would ultimately be a healthy environment for us to live together given our past. I have so much guilt around it and it helps hearing other peoples perspectives that aren’t necessarily traditional too.

Thank you so much for sharing, Annie. I lost my mom a few years ago and had to quickly mend my relationship with my dad and forgive him for so many things, but I’m so happy I did. Now I worry about taking care of him when I can barely take care of myself. And I also question how obligated I should allow myself to feel towards taking care of him. It’s so hard, but I think talking about it and expressing concern from both perspectives will lead to a more firm answer ❤❤❤ sending lots of love!

Annie's not wrong - bought my ex a battle axe for Christmas when he was 23 and I was 24. I'm 42 now and that man still brags that it was the coolest gift ever, and when we see one another every few years or so in passing he always says "remind me why we ever broke up" 😂.

My mom died when I was 27 and my son was 2, and we never got to get to a place where we could talk honestly about how she screwed me up which really pisses me off still over a decade later
Been through a lot. Took me a long time to be able to give myself that because I kept downplaying everything. There hasn't been any resolving of anything that happened to me. It sucks. I'm still trying to repair things that happened decades ago, and more happened on top of that so it all feels a bit hopeless sometimes. I did drugs and drank for years over it which only brought other painful events to my life and being invalidated so much and now have my own children to screw up- it's a bit too stressful sometimes and now I watch movies or play video games or get Korean corn dogs and act weird in pubiic to deal.
That is so true about waxing, I've been doing the same Brazilian, lower legs and armpit circuit for a few months now and I love the results but the waxing right on the main area is so😭😭😭 painful, I literally sweat throughout my appointment
Annie maybe you should start a trauma center or charity for traumatized molested girls. She is such a great speaker and would help so many young women through this specific trauma and maybe in term, it will help her heal. Love you Annie, you are AWESOME. I'm sorry that ever happened to you.
