Alaqua Cox went from working in an Amazon warehouse, to staring in the number one most streamed show on Disney+ and Hulu. Thats fucking nuts. They loved her so much at her audition that they made Maya an amputee to match her
The only real complaint I have of the show is that I wanted at least 2 or 3 more episodes but with what they were given they did well. I really want Maya to meet Kate Bishop and make amends after wrongfully targeting her and maybe cause some more headache for Fisk along with Daredevil. Loved that her superhero self was given to her by her family, her grandfather the leg, her grandmother the suit, the name her mother and reconnecting with the family she has left in the world. I was scared when Fisk had Bonnie brought closer to him that he was gonna strangle her infort of Maya
Kate is gonna be really shaken up by the news of Kingpin becoming mayor. She had an unknowing connection to Kingpin for most of her life because of her mother's business partnership with the man. She knows Kingpin for the monster he truly is and had firsthand experience fighting him.
I heard somewhere that there was at least a 6th episode planned, but they showrunners were told to cut it down to exactly 5 episodes, so they actually did what they could with what they were given.
I like how you guys actually give shows a chance before you formulate an opinion on it.... I see a lot of hatetubers who hate on shows before they're even out.... I really enjoy watching you guys' reactions...
hatetubers will rather cater to peoples hate for clicks and views anyway. they can never see on things on a higher ground.
This show was terrible though, especially this season finale. It wasn’t even rated r besides 2 scenes.

I really enjoyed this series a lot. After watching and reading about Echo after the show came out, I made a goal this year to learn ASL. I’m so glad I found out about this character.
Maya showed Kingpin the Echos of his past. I think she was trying to break him out of his own mental hell. He's still reliving the memory his father hurting his mother even day. She also showed him the memory of the ice cream vendor. He remembers every kill knowing it was wrong but what's the mindset he's in he still loses himself to his rage. She tried and failed. Instead of trying to erase what's been trapping him behind his own self-made prison bars, instead of trying to leave the worst of his own instincts, he's to afraid. He'd rather stay a rabbit in a snowstorm. I really liked what they tried to do even though it was executed kind of sloppily. Still, I do stand by the fact that I think they treated the legacy characters perfectly, and overall, I really did like this show. It is still very messy and has a lot of flaws, but it had really cool action and character moments. 7.5/10 for the whole show, in my opinion!
Thank y’all for bein unbiased with yall reactions. It’s so much weird hate for media with no real basis now that it’s dope seeing people just enjoy entertainment or give good reasons if some things fall short. Really enjoyed this series and watching yall opinions. Well done!
I’m not gonna lie, because a lot of Marvel fanboys who just eat up everything marvel puts out and says it’s good. Is the reason marvel is content with putting out mediocrity. This show was terrible, only decent episode was the first one. Show marvel we are not happy with the content they put out. And maybe they will actually develop some good stories.
Such a different direction with Echo & thought it was a cool show. Thoroughly enjoyed watching with my buddies at Struggle Nation! ❤

A lot of people don’t understand Fisk’s mind and personality. They place him into gang boss, thug, sociopath and Murderer.
He could be diagnosed as a serial killer in the sub-genre of Familicide. His child-like rage from rejection reverts him to exact punishment on those his opposition loves. That is why he attacked the town. Some other reactors do not see him in that light.
It was funny to see some reviewers bumping up against Fisk attacking the Pow Wow and they couldn't figure out why he would take the risk.... He's Wilson Fisk a man who *checks notes* decapitated a dude with his SUV door because *checks notes again* He interrupted his diner date.... The Kingpin is not the posterchild for proportionate response.
I'm sure I've told you before, but you would LOVE the storytelling and character work done in Reservation Dogs, many cast members from Echo were in Rez Dogs. There are only 3 seasons, it would be wonderful if you decided to react to it.

Ya, the way I take it, Fisk felt something so foreign, love and peace, that he felt threatened by it. His normal is rage.
What I believe is that the end credit goes into DareDevil Born again because he was Mayer in the show if I remember correctly and the heads he was saying to assemble might be the Hand members
I loved the show. I personally really enjoy these “spotlights” of characters that feature their cultures respectively with that family focus, like Ms. Marvel. Not everything has to contribute to the “main story.” Sometimes we just need a good story with great characters.
Awesome Series....definitely needs more.

I liked Echo - I think they should have given it 8 episodes though - it felt too smushed together for a lot of it and when these characters were just sitting around and talking? REALLY GOOD GIVE US MORE OF HER FAMILY AND COMMUNITY! And the fighting was great too! But they should have given it three more episodes and not rushed it. But I saw what they were trying and I saw that even if the reviews were sort of half and half, a lot of people watched. So I hope they encourage the idea of doing something more with her character. And she's got star written all over her (& so does the young kid who played her)
If they give it a season 2, EIGHT EPISODES. And built it around her community and keep it street level (even in a small community you can do that) Reservation Dogs proved that. The series has SO much acting talent - give it a chance to thrive.
It would be interesting to see how her and Daredevil would communicate with each other.
I thought it was a decent wrap up to the story and hope that we get the chance to see more of her character in the upcoming Daredevil series.
It was cool how she was able to harness the power of her ancestors and hope that maybe they might have the character and actress learn more techniques to improve her combat skills even more.
I can't wait to see where the path that Kingpin will be on now after the events of the show will develop.

I feel attached to this show because of my Native American heritage. It's either Choctaw or Chickasaw. However, because I'm African American, that's all other people see. Not me though. I love my roots. I love when people are able to see the red in my completion.

I think the dynamic between Maya and Kingpin is really good. I kinda hope her powers go away or just dont evolve past healing bc i don't like the power change.
I think it works for Kamala bc i personally have never liked the inhumans and i think Green lanterns are cooler than Plastic man. However it doesn't work for Maya bc 1 its a lazy plot device, and 2, the ability to echo anyone's fighting style would've made her instantly able to hang with people like shang chi, Black widows and Daredevil. Now she's just girl who fights really good like alot of mcu characters can do. It's almost like the default starter kit now and its kinda stale. If everyone is a prodigious h2h fighter or a genius inventor, then no one is really.
Overall i liked Echo more than almost everything in phase 5, i just hope we'll see Maya again soon.
Great series reaction! I genuinely loved the show but felt the finale was…eh. Could of done without glowing granny 😂 Felt like secret invasion all over again. Sucks as there was apparently so much cut out of this show, that being said? The post credit scene is EPIC and has SO MANY implications

I wish people looked at these mcu shows the same they look at the CW superhero shows. Started good and quickly descended into trash repetitions of the same themes and half -assed ideas. This show was NOT good by any objective measure. It had a lot of good individual points, but the bad far outweight the good. Like wtf was that ending for a resolution to such a built-up conflict? C'mon!!
I remember when Drew was trash talking Batwoman, and I think this show should be similarly critisized albeit it doesn't suffer from the exact same problems.
I thought the show for the most part was alright. It was decent. I think I enjoyed episode 1 with Daredevil in it most of all, and that's not a good thing. The final episode left a bad taste in my mouth. Echo and her loved ones getting powers at the end to bail them out of their situation was cheesy. Regardless, it was solid. I don't hate it. I'd give the overall series a 7/10.
Well if you really do like the show then good for you. I personally thought it was a complete mess with no redeeming qualities.

That ending was horrible! It just did a Mary Sue ending. 2 notes: We got a female lead that didn't talk. Hooray! The other: Has to be a woman writer. Who else gives the superpower to a woman to make a guy live his worst memory over. Don't get worked up people, I'm kidding. But the ending did stink.
