Tori was awesome in this episode and I understand where's she's coming from all too well. I lost my mom 5 years ago and it was a day before mother's day at that so I know the anger and everything this is why the episode resonated with me
I don't think i've ever seen Stuggle Soldier get this emotional

I have mixed feelings about the girls’ duel. On one hand, I get that Daniel was prioritizing Tory’s mental health and he feared that her loss was gonna make her do something she was gonna regret… again.
On the other hand, I always felt that Johnny might be able to relate to Tory on some level. Growing up, karate was his coping mechanism after he lost his mom. Now it was Tory’s turn.
As for Tory herself, I didn’t hear Daniel or anyone else telling her that she was out of the dojo. She left on her own accord. If she had explained that her aunt Kandace was getting up to her neck for the welfare check and custody over Brandon, they still would’ve found a way to help her.
Now we wait for November 15 if not sooner.
I feel Danny was completely in the right to stop the fight. Because it's not fair for either Tori or Sam. On one hand Tori is completely consumed by anger that she would have vented it all on Sam. And on the other hand Sam is now shaken up too knowing that her friend's mom had died. Obviously she won't give her all to beat up Tori after that. If the fight had happened, Sam would have ended up in the hospital...again.
If Johnny wants Tori to vent out with fighting, it should have a different sparring session with one of the senseis, possibly with Johnny himself.
The fight would've only been therapeutic for Tory if she won. If she lost, which had a good chance of happening given her erratic emotional state, that could've destroyed her.

If i unterstand it right,The Captain is the only one who can fight for the Win, if they Get it to the Finals. Miguel can't win the Sekai Taikai. Thats how i understand it. Why should tory leave, if its only for the Captain?

With Tori saying her mom died, Sam wouldn’t have been in here right mind. It really wouldn’t have been fair sam. I felt horrible for Tori’s mother dying. I wonder if kreese had something to do with her mother’s death. That would be a messed up twist
Only disappointing thing is having to wait 3 months for part 2.
But it’s worth the wait
It was just a lose - lose situation. There was no perfect solution. If they would have continued, she probably would have smashed Sam of the stage, which she would have deeply regretted, and would also leave her falling out with the rest. She was fighting not at her best; she can fight way better. Sam scored easy quick points because she opened herself way too much up.
Anthony got uppercutted off the deck. Who cares
There's no guarantee about how she could've won. But what is guaranteed is if she lost, that would've emotionally destroyed her.
@@jp3813 Yes, you're absolutely right. She would probably think she would have failed her mom. And the episode was all about balance, so she would have never won fairly. She was too unbalanced. Robby found his balance and won, but that could never happen for her. There was no good solution for her. She really has had it the worst.
Even tho Hawk and Tory both managed to get in, it still sucks that Kenny isn’t apart of the Sekai Tekai, I thought his character was going to go somewhere since he’s the best teen fighter after the power couples and Hawk.
I have a strong feeling (could be completely wrong) that the next five episodes' secondary focus will be Anthony and Kenny back in the Valley hashing their conflict out. Because I don't see Kenny getting sidelined until the near end of the season.
Well, Kenny is a 9th grader. People are gonna laugh at a freshman showing up to a world tournament where 17-20xyear Olds or something compete.
They only showed 4 members of Cobra Kai and all teams must be 6. Kenny is going to be the 5th. I also had a theory that Devon would own up and get kicked out from Miyagi-Do and then join Cobra Kai too (to please the lady master as they have been foreshadowing) and Anthony would take her place, but I don't think there is enough time for that--the teams are already there in Barcelona.
@djoscartj dude there's leaves photos. It's not Kenny joining Cobra Kai. They showed the other 2 are 2 of Kim's students, not Kenny and someone else.

Peyton list really carried this episode and this season she really is a terrific actress. I really hope that she gets more acting gigs. And unfortunately, I know that she’s never gonna win an Oscar for her performance in this episode, but if she were to get nominated, she definitely deserves to win. Because Tory Nichols really is a tragic character. You know she’s almost like parallel Anakin Skywalker. Like her and Anakin Skywalker are very similar Both characters lost their mother, and they eventually got seduced by the dark side also got psychologically fucked with and at the end of day Kresse is like emperor Palpatine. And both Tory and Anakin are ruthless and aggressive. All and all they both have similar parallels. By the way, I think you two should do a reaction to the trailer that just came out for the Halloween retro side scroll video game. It looks dope as shit, and it also features ash from the evil dead. Basically you can play as both characters, Michael Myers, or Ash. It looks dope as shit, and I can’t wait for it to come out.

19:25 Thank you! I completely empathize with Tory but having them fight would be tainted because neither of the fighters would fight the same. If Johnny wanted her to "work through it", he could've sparred with her to help her get the anger out and when she felt she was in a better mental place she and Sam could've thought. No one thought the situation through. Amanda tried, but being Sam's mom she was the wrong person because of Kreese being in her head. Robby tried too by telling her to breathe because he could tell she needed to calm down. Then call Mike Barnes to ref while Johnny and Tory are sparring. Too rushed, but great scene!

From a logical point of view, stopping the fight was the right choice. If they had continued the fight and had Tori won, it would've been detrimental against Miyagi-do because, like everyone said, she's not in her right head space. She would've most likely cost Miyagi-do the tournament.
For those agreeing with Johnny about letting her continue to fight Sam.
She was being a bit reckless. The kids, Amanda and Daniel, were even seeing it by watching how Tory was fighting. She wasn't in the right head space to fight in that moment. She could have hurt Sam or even herself. She was legit holding everything in with grief and anger and wouldn't talk to anyone, including Robby, when he had been trying to reach her since the day before. Daniel and Amanda were more worried about Tory with her mental health and well-being as they should. Yes, Johnny knows what it's like to lose his mom, but don't forget Daniel also knows about loss as well he lost his dad at a young age and then lost Mr. Miyagi later in life, who was another father figure to him. He's just as much of a hot head as Johnny and Tory is.
I mean, fighting a punching bag/dummy or with a sensei is one thing to let it all out, but to do a 1 on 1 fight match with another student, no, it wasn't the right time to do that. All it takes is 1 reckless move, and it can injure someone badly. Any of your good athlete coaches in any kind of sport won't let their students practice/compete while they are in a fresh grieving state with anger especially in sports like martial arts/boxing/wrestling/gymnastics/certain dance styles/skating/nascar driving the sports that really focuses on having a clear balance focus. Look what happened when Robby was filled with rage when he fought Miguel in season two at the school. All it took was just the 1 kick that sent Miguel into the hospital with a coma and had to relearn on how to walk. At first, Robby was in control during that fight until that rage fully took over and didn't realize what he had just done until right after he did it. He wanted to finish the fight, but he didn't think it would end in that way.

The actress of Kim posted the full lineup on Instagram, it's not supposed to be a mystery, I think. You're right about the girl, and if have seen S6e3 you know the other one. Kreese also implies at the end he only wants Tory. He mentions "one more piece of the puzzle" before they flash to Tory.
I'm Neither A Robby Fan Nor A Miguel Fan But I Don't Understand Why Does Anyone Think That Robby Deserves To Win More Than Miguel And Its A Stupid Reason To Say That Because Miguel Already Won The All Valley, Sekai Tekai Is The Worlds Biggest Karate Tournament So Miguel Also Deserves To Win The Tournament. Most Of All Miguel Won The Tournament Back In Season 1 And We Have Come A Long Way From That, Miguel's Character Arc For This Final Season Is Exactly The Same As The First Season About Proving Yourself. The Best Way Cobra Kai Can End Is By Having Miguel Proving Himself Again To The World And Winning The Sekai Tekai With Johnny On His Side But This Time Miguel's Victory Wouldn't Be Tainted Like The 1ST Season, This Will Complete Both Miguel's Arc And The Shows Arc.
So a standard "miguel started it so he should finish it" argument for miguel
At the end of the day we are all entitled to our opinions but the argument that you are making is that it will complete the shows arc anx Miguel's arc. The shows arc is about johnny redeeming himself and making things right, what better way to do that than guiding the son he neglected for 15+ years into the finish line. Miguel's arc shouldn't be about karate at all considering he LITERALLY went on a mini arc in season 4 + 5 about karate not being the most important thing and wanting to focus on his future. The arc he had in season 1 was about going from a weak need to overconfident bully to demonstrate the negative affects of cobra kai and it's teachings in order to set up season 2. How that at all is the same arc for season 6 is a strange take.

Miguel and Tory better be the ones to win the Sekai Tekai. Tory never gets what she wants, so now she better win. Miguel deserves to win more than Robby does. plus Miguel is the main kid of the show, he should be the one to get the most spotlight. I'm tired of him being put in the backseat while the show focuses more on side characters. It's like watching the humans get more screen time than the transformers in a transformer film.
Tori (is it still "Tori with an "i"?) needs a legit win without cheating or intervention. I'm down for this, and I wholeheartedly believe that they are bringing in Julie Pierce (Hilary Swank) as the only person that can get Tori out of that bad place. She was also a "problem child" that lost her parents (as seen in Karate Kid 4), so she can relate to Tori. She will probably also shed some light on Miyagi's "secrets" that Daniel doesn't know about.

The creators have said from the get go that this is about Johnny, Daniel, miguel AND robby. Miguel does NOT deserve to win more than Robby, if anything it's equal. I'm not sure why you are saying Miguel has taken a back seat when he's had major involvement/focus in every single season. He has not taken a back seat in the slightest.
We can all have our own opinions ofc, it just seems strange to me that you're making it seem like Miguel HAS to win cause he was the kid we see first
This episode was so emotional that Tory lost her mother, and it was so sad that tory saw her mother on the floor it hurt me so badly that I don't know who side I'm on Johnny's side or Daniel's side.

Both Daniel & Johnny has a point about tory, but everyone is not like Johnny to fight & work thru it..tory is unhinged a loose cannon her attitude & temperament is 0 to a 100 very easily & always has been..in this case Johnny was out of line in so many ways..& Daniel is & has to much emphasis on Miyagi past & not focusing on today in the now
