Just started a cafe job and this is honestly one of the best videos I’ve watched explaining how to hold the cup and steamer. I keep ending up with super watery milk and I hate it. Tomorrow is one of my last training days so wish me luck.
this is informative! I've been trying to create a perfect thick foam and one time "accidently" done it without knowing how I did it. tried recreating it to no avail 😂😂😂
@@SevenMilesCoffeeRoasters Question! Should you warm the milk before steaming it? I have been trying to get the milk warm enough to not leave the coffee luke warm and not hot enough at the end. However, this means I have to steam it too long and the texture gets a bit too thick for proper latte art. Do baristas have a constant supply of pre-warmed milk on hand or do they just use the milk straight from the fridge?
Omg after 1000 tutorials and attempts of trying doing the right foam I finally managed it after the first try with this video. I really can't believe it. One tip if your milk gets hot too fast: hold your cup and Steamer like shown in the video and then start by touching the milks surface with only the tip of your Steamer while it's already on. Do that while the milk gets hotter and only in the end put in the tip a little more to get that soft, shiny foam. The texture you get with this technique is insane!
This is magic! It took me four weeks of daily practice with my first ever coffee machine, tons of videos about frothing watched. That all got me nowhere and left me so disappointed. I had almost no foam in my milk, it would only get hot from my steamer. All until I came across this tutorial! Every single milk I froth ever since is perfect! Who would've thought that the key to success is the SOUND of the milk. That hissing sound! Not the airplane one (that I definitely had at the start of my practice with the steamer 😅). Thank you so very much for this tutorial! 💛
I have seen so many of these videos & still cannot get my milk thick & creamy enough. Thank you for being very detailed, clear & precise. NOW i get it! Thanks so much guys!
The best and easiest to learn to make a latte w step by step: you are good teacher w a great voice and you are clearly talking/explaining every details/tips.
I’m going to sound repetatvie but, this by far has been the best and most insightful video I’ve watched on steaming milk. Easy straight forward directions/examples.
Double, double, toil and trouble, in my milk jug, froth and bubble! Love this example and especially the practice tip at the end - water and dishwash! 😀
Hi there. I'm a Batista in training (beginner). This video was so so so helpful, especially the dish washing alternative as milk! A great way to save good milk, thank you very much!
Thank you so much for the help! I recently picked up a Breville Infuser and after watching your video and practicing the technique a few times on soap and water, I’ve made my milk perfect for latte art. Now to work on the art technique itself… 😁
When you said ‘it’s probably not you… pick a different brand’ I could relate to that. I had an issue with the latte bubbling up after a minute or so. I changed to a different brand and it fixed the issue.
Such a great tutorial. I have my Breville Barista Expresso Machine for nearly 2 yrs now and I had no idea how to properly texturize milk. I will definitely start learning tomorrow with some wated and dishwasher liquid. :)
Man, these are great videos! Thank you so much guys for putting them together to help people get their technique right! The editing is great, and the instructions are extremely well presented!
A really great video. It’s direct, to the point and so easy to understand. This may be the best video on the subject and unfortunately I have seen plenty for comparison
Thanks for this video! Lots of great hints and tips in 5 minutes. I like the use of clear quality gates to move onto the next step (i.e. ~ 20% foamed, sound of the milk). Clear technique to follow and to try and perfect. Most other videos are just someone blabbering on about their coffee skills and where they've worked :)
This was probably to the point and most helpful video on this topic. I can’t believe I wasted my time watching through videos with people taking and taking about thing when this video was available. Liked and subscribed! Thanks!
Thanks, this has given me something to go by. One particular part which shows where to put and how to use the steam wand in the jug correctly, of course that would vary slightly depending on the milk, jug size, wand size, steam pressure etc. Thankyou enjoyed the whole video
This video made.me.realized what i've learned is not good now that I watched this video I think I'm more better in making foam thank you very much more practice for me salamat po
@@existinguser7788 not literally. But I'm always curious about the coffee machine and usually they're quite well visible so when I have a chance to take a look... :)
Wow 🤩 Brilliant. So much details , thank you 🙏. I luv my cappuccino, paying attention to little things makes the drink perfect + perfect coffee ☕️ beans .
What I didn't hear mentioned in this video is that the power of the steamer (boiler) definitely makes a difference in how the froth comes out, no matter if you've done this perfectly.
Good tips I’ve just bought a coffee machine and what a shit fest I’ve had..This is helpful.I’ll have to wait a few days before I can sleep again to try this after the dose of coffee I just had 😛
Let me be one of the many people praising this video on it's straightforward, easy-to-understand approach. Thank you!
This is honestly one of the best milk frothing tutorials I've watched so far. Thanks for your help!
I agree no clutter just straight to it! thanks guys
FINALLY, a proper video teaching the basics, with passion and true facts, thanks!

How's it going over there? :) ☕
Hope you’re making great coffee and latte art now 🙃

I love how you teach to purge and wash the steamer every time, no excuses! I hate when people don't do it
I've seen way too many crusty steam wands....
My biggest pet peeve amongst my coworkers 🙃
Amazing! The visualization is great, and the way he explains the tutorial is clear. I Love this.

That moment when you used dishsoap and got beautiful latte art. You got too excited and drink it haha

Watching this because every few weeks my milk texturing is way off and I just made myself a coffee with like an inch plus of froth 😂
Me too omg😂 here to revise
Yep! Out of nowhere, just way to thickm
Finally a video that makes sense!! Commenting to support y'all!
This video allowed me to froth the milk perfectly and make latte art when I couldn’t before despite tying so many times. Thanks for this tutorial!

Really good video thanks!! My coworker taught me the dish soap thing when teaching me how to steam milk too, it’s crazy how much it looks like milk

Best video I've seen on texturing milk. Really well explained and detailed. Good job lads.
our pleasure 🙏
Thank you sharing. The instruction is simple and clear. My first Latte tasted alright but looked like a flat white. Need more practice 😅
THANK YOU SO MUCH, now i finally know what I have doing wrong with my latte art, thanks a lot! i really appreciate it 😁☕
Excellent video that has everything one needs to know, keep up the good work!
Agree
Recently hired at Costa Coffee.
I am still in training, but today, I did some beautiful cups of latte art.
My manager was surprised 😲
I’ve always noticed milk gets quite when it has enough air mixed in. Helps me know when its latte ready. Hope it helps
Straightforward, just what I needed!

You have my like for "purge the wand after steaming first, every time, no excuses". I don't order coffee in restaurants with dirty steam wands.
so you storm into where they make the coffees and demand to see the steam wands...

Great tips look forward to trying it
I’m excited about the creamy creamy milk
That practice tip was perfect thanksss
Outstanding latte art 🥰❤️
Thanks so much for the washing detergent tip! I’ve been too reluctant to practice because dumping milk down the drain is so bad for the environment!
I red the comments before watching the video and didn't understand why everyone was talking about the dishwasher 😂😂 now I get it.
I wasn’t paying attention. Did you say drink or do not drink the soapy milk?
LOL

Drink
Another thing to consider is the holes in the steam wand tip. After changing from a 4 hole tip to one with 3 holes we had way more success.

Totally know the feeling. I stopped drinking coffee for a week after my last overdose.

Been trying and keep failing on this, I think my mistake is where you lower the jug to introduce some air into the milk. Thanks for the tutorial!
Thanks, Can’t wait to make my first latte 😁
