Fyi the walk-crate (found in the warehouses) is an undestructible block, even for the farmbots. I tested it with commands in survival. You can also get them very easily because they are not fixed objects in the warehouses and can be hit with the hammer into the elevator.
Morning holmes:) Have you ever tested to see if Haybots can do damage to the wood rods? The ones that get refined by the refining bot. Maybe use the Haybot spines to build a barrier and see if they can get through. Wood is meant to be broken down into smaller pieces, but maybe once its down to the core rod, its indestructable unless machined.
Haybots and greenies can 100% destroy the haybot spines; I built a wall around my base and continually have to rebuild it. Not sure about the wood rods, but I assume it would work like the haybot spines.
Make a semi-arch that starts on the wall of the tower but ends on the ceiling just before the bounce trap. Please like this comment so ScrapMan can see.
What you can do is if you need to get down from the towers quickly you can press the button to lower the drawbridge and stand on the joint and it will lower you down gently. Love your vids!
2 things: You can weld your car even if the trees are on it, so no worries about hills or using the lift. If the trees do stay loaded, so does the support for the trees. So, you can probably make your entire base always loaded by welding a piece of tree to it. The bots wouldn't load that far, but your craftbot and refineries would keep working. And another suggestion: I don't think ScrapMechanic can handle half loading a build, so if you want to make refineries and craftbots work anywhere, you can just make a bar that extends underground from your base all the way to, say, the trader.
"Don't WOC away!" ha ha... anyway, for the space between the wall and the tower, you could fill it in but with a wall that curves out to meet the front of the tower.
I think you can do a angled arch way between the tower and the wall, so you have a arch way angled like 45 degrees or something so the both walls flush together

15:51, the loose bearings started happening to me just after i switched to the TEST branch.. which i found weird.getting to close to some places rag dolled my machine, or just driving caused my wheels to completely rotate while trying to drive, as if the wheel were pulling only themselves, but even attached to the seat were rotating over just pulling.
I found in the previous non test branch when i had controller axel setups it would do something similar.and the axle would go floppy. im wondering if theres just a point to having double suspension steering wheels for now. (rig for "controller axel turning wheels" involves them being in their own turning bracket with the two suspension and bearings in a large turning card.) Until its fixed. **EXAMPLE IMAGE** cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/291360062700650496/721887104686096404/unknown.png
So you’ve encountered the buckling wheel problem. You can fix this in a couple different ways. You can increase the surface area on the ground, relieving weight on the bearings, or you can switch to tank steering, which eliminates the bearings with uneven stress on it. Or you can do both.
Add an elevator to the two corner arches on your walkway. Also change the spotlights from white to grey, this softens the light without changing the brightness too much
Love the tree pen, but if you really want the cows to hang around, just make a single pole with a single piece of corn just out of the cows reach. I have about 10 cows that haven't left my base area forever and they always seem to be there even when I leave the area and return. Great vid! :)
ScrapMan. You could actually remove 2 bearings per bridge. I think you used 2 1x6(ish) poles to support the bridge but you could actually use a 2x6 pole instead on one bearing to make it simpler and possibly less laggy. Really hope you see this :S
Hmmmmm... wait, it makes sense that haybots can break big trees! Can you break blocks with sledge hammer? No. Can haybots? Yes! How many hits do you take to took down haybot with sledgehammer? 5. And how many hits do haybot take to took down you? Only 2-3!
Hey @Scrapman next to the castle draw bridge where you don't know what to do, make a door and balcony, level with the bridge so you can stand there and shoot at bots bouncing.
As for things I'd like to see, a rocket drill sledge. By that I mean raid bots funneled into a corridor, a hunk of tier 3 concrete on wheels and a crude track, drills on the front of it (spinning or not is up to you), and 4 level 5 thrusters on the back. Sensor picks up the bots, triggers the sledge, you're testing some crash dummies now. Completely impractical, but I think it'd be hilarious because they should either just evaporate into parts or get shotgun blasted out of the corridor.
Tip: use your weld tool to move creations your lift can't. Place some disposable blocks on your vehicle and on the area you want to transport it to, then weld your vehicle to the disposable blocks. Remove said blocks and keep repeating until you get to your destination. Very useful if you can't get atop hills due to your vehicle's cargo, like in this video, or if you get it jammed but don't want to dismantle it in order to proceed.
I'd like to see at the entrances of the towers/drawbridges some toad blocks, so when you are opening the draw bridges, you get some sounds that resemble the sounds of trumpets from the royal court.
Hey @Scrapman I have a couple of ideas I would want you to read. #1 Second Farm Idea Hey Scrapman, I think that you should have a second farm but on the second layer.... Idk how you will do it because of the walkway. How 'bout try splitting the farm in half and letting the walkway passing right inbetween both of the two plots, or.... Try getting rid of the walkway and construscting two identical replicas of it that passes by the sides. Same proportions, same layout, same amount of soil, and same watering system. #2 What I think you should do to fill in the gaps I think that to fill in the gaps in between the base and the towers, you should make an archway on either side and connect both of them with beams that go across the ceiling of the walkway infront of your base. Idk about the holes that let you shoot the haybots(or whatever I should call them). Maybe try making the hole pass through the beams too. #3 How to contain and transport boss To transport the boss, I came up with a neat contraption that might just let you contain and transport the boss. As we know from the "boss tranporting" episode, when a boss(or any bot) gets ragdollled and gets transported a certain distance away from where it was last NOT ragdolled, it will teleport back over there. This is how the contraption goes: Try building a clock that turns on the bouncy floor for a couple of second, that then turns it off for a very little amount of time(enough for the boss to unragdoll) and repeats again and again. With this, you might just be able to transport the boss because it gets ragdolled and incapacitated but also doesn't teleport because it's given some time to unragdoll and reset where it was last unragdolled.
I still want to see a dungeon with farmbots or cows also by the bounce floor put a sensor with mountable spud guns to shoot them. or to save ammo just make the bounce floor more powerful with some easy adjustments. Great job!!! 😉
Moonbo: makes truck and trailer (like a normal scrap mechanic) Scrapman: just adds blocks to a vehicle (like torb from overwatch just adds stuff in broken parts)
A good idea would be to make the front walls connect by making them curve into each other, it’s basically putting stairs side ways in this situation, because in Minecraft the only other direction you could put stairs is right-side up, upside down, and facing in other directions, you could never put stairs on their sides 7:00
When you can't use a lift on an object you should try using the weld tool by putting a pillar where you want to go and Welding it on it so you can get up a hill or some like that
For the arch, you could have a series of arches across the front of the base, making it kind of open like for the bots to go through. Then a back arch for the back side of the gaps. ... This makes more sense in my head :P
Hey scrapman, Hope you r doing good Just had a suggestion... Since your base is looking circular, triangular and modern you may want to change the small rectangular pegs on top of the walls to triangularr ones...
Scrap Man, maybe I should have weighted in before you did this video, but bots are a bit broken. I've watched them on my world attack a chunk of rock, not the ones that can't be sledged but the ones right after you break those ones, and just delete them. Like they treat them like crops and will sometimes go straight for those instead of you or your vehicle. Also, the sawblades and drillbits are acting as deterrents, as you already know, for the haybots and totebots. So the greenies in the water just standing there is them running into their programming, in a sense, conflicting. They want to attack your farm via the fastest route, but there's something in its way. So it renavigates and somehow forgets that original path. So when it runs into the sawblade next, it wants to go past it, but there's a sawblade....but it wants to go past it.... but there's a sawblade....... you see what happens. It won't try to attack the base of the sawblade because it's like there's a radius of effect of the sawblades and drillbits against the haybots and totebots. It's very funny and fun to utilize.
Scrapman you have to keep feeding the wocs (and glowbugs) to keep them there or they will despawn, I don't think the pen matters. I haven't tried it but I know it works for cardboard, can you put corn in a chest and shoot it onto the ground with a pump? Then you can have a really slow timer to keep the wocs fed automagically
You could probably cover the side of the base so it doesn't look like it's flying over the island. And maybe you could add a walkway from the base to the draw bridge thing to make it easier to enter the base, instead of using toilet seats... EVEN THOUGH TOILET SEATS ARE AMAZING.
Multiplayer Monday Idea - Capture the flag. Use a log as the flag so you can't use a lift on your destructible vehicle when returning it to your base. (Drills and saws to break into base maybe?)
lol, knew the answer, but still worth seeing how it played out. the real pain is when your harvesting those big trees and a haybot comes out and hits the log. you get no resources from that section. I found this out when building my log cabin style building and had to harvest a new tree for 1 piece.
Expand the towers back a bit and then add the archways. Also, how about adding a walkway below the one that leads to the towers so you can get to the horseshoe driveway from the farm more easily?
Two things/tips 1 when you have wielded trees too you're tre harvester you can wield the harvester to a block if you get stuck 2 the cows and glove bug will despawn if you don't feed them BTW love youre videos
Can you make a panic button because if something gets too intense to handle, you can make something that like smacks them around, pushes them far away, or even just launching them into the stratosphere. I think it would be fun and useful. Also make the underwater support out of glass. Love ur vids! :)
You can solve 90% of the wheel flop issue by creating a linkage between the right and left steering assemblies. It does add 2 bearings to the steering but its worth it in my opinion for large and heavy vehicles.
If you give the empty bit a diagonal then it also has a horseshoe shape and it would make your eyes want to look into the middle where is the best bit (in my opinion)
You could make wooden gates between tower and wall and make a port behind the farm, so you would have a port in the middle of a castle and you could exit it between drawbridge and shore. For future water creations.
For the archway dilemma. Just make half an archway. The archway should basically start on the 2 new towers and only go halfway and stop at the top when reaching the overhead bridge.
11:40 the weld tool shows the hitbox of the original tree. Edit ... Still interested in that banner... Use the cubes of carpet, wood and concrete or metal. No logo might be a big taxing.
Rather than having the tower be on top of the Gate Arch, it would probably look better if you made a proper gatehouse. With a tower (just a bit taller than the arch) on each side of the arch holding it up. This would also fill up the gap. Also you could improve the aesthetics of the whole thing by making all of the towers edges out of Brick, or just inserting a diagonal line of bricks every so often on the wall to break up the monotony.
How to keep a cow in a pen: 1. Get cow in pen. 2. Get corn. 3. Place corn juuust out of reach above the cow so it always looks at it. 4. Have cow forever
i built a small multipurpose vehicle called the spyder. incredible speed and stability, lights all around for spoting farmbots, a fun light to turn on when you are kicking farmbots butts, and a farmbot plow that knocks them over and saws them.
You could make the bridge's feet be their hinges, it would use just 4 bearings, 2 per foot/hinge And then you could remove the central hinge, making the whole bridge more sturdy and less laggy

Put a thruster on the back of the tree logging machine and use that on the hills, and maybe u can carry more than 2 trees.
Put a half wall in the middle of the gap and put a half arch either side. Aqueduct style. But whatever makes you happy I’ll enjoy regardless :)
For the gaps you can do either an angled or triangular archway quick would look good with a brick trim and cut out center and is very castle like
What you should do for the arch is just make the arch continue up and out of the walkway and then continue to the other side.
Scrapman carrying 4 giant trees: I miiiiight be a little back heavy.

You should build a treehouse on that big tree that is on the right hand side of your base with spiral stairs that hug against the surface of the tree.
I found this out when building my log cabin style building and had to harvest a new tree for 1 piece.
your castle defence is the best, the bouncy platform makes the enemies happy until they meet their inevitable doom..
Make hanging SM sign or a banner to fill the gap next to draw bridges to fill the gap and make it aesthetically pleasing
You can always weld your vehicle with the trees which could act like a lift.
Expand the towers back a bit and then add the archways. Also, how about adding a walkway below the one that leads to the towers so you can get to the horseshoe driveway from the farm more easily?
For the gaps. Maybe a single layer concrete, but cut out the gear and sm on each side for Scrap Manor.
Two things/tips
1 when you have wielded trees too you're tre harvester you can wield the harvester to a block if you get stuck
2 the cows and glove bug will despawn if you don't feed them
BTW love youre videos
Can you make a panic button because if something gets too intense to handle, you can make something that like smacks them around, pushes them far away, or even just launching them into the stratosphere. I think it would be fun and useful. Also make the underwater support out of glass. Love ur vids! :)
You can solve 90% of the wheel flop issue by creating a linkage between the right and left steering assemblies. It does add 2 bearings to the steering but its worth it in my opinion for large and heavy vehicles.
Make the tree spin on 5 bearing or more . (Controllers max speed)
So tree will be spinning and damage if it touch
The block that you connect to the trees will disapear when you go far away so the trees will fall and the cows can jump, I THINK?
Hey Scrapman Please Make A Auto Turret In Your Base Or Make A Mountable Gatling Turret On The Top Of Your Towers That Would Look Good
If you give the empty bit a diagonal then it also has a horseshoe shape and it would make your eyes want to look into the middle where is the best bit (in my opinion)
When you realize that at some point he will run out of trees to cut
Scrapman : wants an arch for asthetics, but cant...
Me : "AnGlEd ArChWaY"
Angled.
20:25 "And it was this moment Scrapman knew , He messed up."
Rather than having the tower be on top of the Gate Arch, it would probably look better if you made a proper gatehouse. With a tower (just a bit taller than the arch) on each side of the arch holding it up. This would also fill up the gap.
Also you could improve the aesthetics of the whole thing by making all of the towers edges out of Brick, or just inserting a diagonal line of bricks every so often on the wall to break up the monotony.
scrapman:*struggles to get trees up a hill
Background:*happy music*
How to keep a cow in a pen: 1. Get cow in pen. 2. Get corn. 3. Place corn juuust out of reach above the cow so it always looks at it. 4. Have cow forever
.Hey Scrapman, to save on wood you could make holes in the wood walkway to match the drawbridges, then you can see the water underneath.
3:50 You listened to me!!
i built a small multipurpose vehicle called the spyder. incredible speed and stability, lights all around for spoting farmbots, a fun light to turn on when you are kicking farmbots butts, and a farmbot plow that knocks them over and saws them.
Just don’t let a tape bot hit any of ur switches or it might trigger the drawbridge to open and bots rush in
You could make the bridge's feet be their hinges, it would use just 4 bearings, 2 per foot/hinge
And then you could remove the central hinge, making the whole bridge more sturdy and less laggy
Hank: *brings scrapman milk so he can do his base*
You are a good bot, thank you
At 14:22 in video u should had de-wield the logs and than drive the car up the hill and than wield the logs again after you had went over the hill.
