Industrial wasn't just born out of nothing... a lot of your fave Industrial bands who pioneered the style probably started out doing stuff just like this... synth pop before going down that path of harsher sounds.
I enjoyed this.. It's always fascinating to see the progression of an artist. How they got from A to B and the focus was just performing and playing music and not the industry BS..
I had moved away before he came up in the area ( Mercer County, Pa.) but watching this, I would have signed him if I were an A&R person then. It is so fkn obvious how excellent of a performer he was already. This freshman band is better than a most bands/artists on chart now... Such a great clip to discover! Thank you for posting.
Having covered Get Down Make Love, Memorabilia, Physical (You're So), Zoo Station, Dead Souls, Immigrant Song and Is Your Love Strong Enough?, I'd be curious to hear a collection of covers by NIN. And maybe, if we are lucky, he'll do a cover of Johnny Cash's hit song Hurt.🙄
The channel's went thru many changes as it actually existed before The Adema Archive was it's focus. I was heavily into touching up and fan remastering music but I generally lost interest. In having found all there is to find Adema related other than a 3 total produced demo of Skin; the channel's name may change again should I ever find a pleasing source of interest that I feel would be fulfilling as a youtube channel. Lol
If he played this version now live how many people would lose their minds
Imagine if Billy Idol showed up and played it with him like Gary Newman, Bowie, or Peter Murphy
👋🏽
Trueee. The shows with Gary Numan were like that, Gary and Trent both playing synths to Cars…legendary moment
Gotta love the hair. All hair was fabulous in the 80s.
Does anyone else want Mariqueen & Trent to cover this with “How To Destroy Angels” now🤔?
Fuck yes
props to whoever sang the back up vocals. les yeux sans visage
That's Mike Baranski on guitar and backing vocals.
Whoever remastered the audio did a fantastic job!!!
Very good straightforward cover! I'd like to hear Trent do it again today while giving it his full NIN treatment. 👍👍
Why thank you, it was a dream to work with this song as it just seemed to clean it's self. Amazing.
Thank You!!
Seen plenty of old Reznor videos but never this one before, amazing! Would love to see him take on Rebel Yell.

Yep. Ministry's first album is a perfect example.
@@lisazoria2709 saw NIN at Riot fest and behold! He credited Ministry as inspiration, which also played that same day!
@lisazoria2709 🎵"I wanted to tell her, but I stuck to my lies"🎵 😊
you'd never guess he'd become the man he did.
shame more artists didnt make a pivot and really carve out their own world
It's interesting watching the progression from this to exotic birds to pretty hate machine era. It's almost like "damn dude who hurt you?!"
Definitely. It’s interesting too because even amidst those differences in his journey, it’s still the same honesty coming through; it’s still him.
One of my very favorite songs, sung by my favorite artist. Thank you for this.
so pure, so rare!

Brings back memories of college road trips to Youngstown. Awesome!!
I'm from Youngstown! I live in Hubbard, a town over!
