Mini Cooper S R53 Inner CV boot replacement (Right hand side) without proper tools. This video is to demonstrate that you can do this job effectively, although it is quite fiddly without the correct clamping pliers. I show a way to remove the bearing assembly without using a 3 jawed gear puller.
While I show you how to install the metal clamps, I explain why I decided to use a plastic cable tie on the smaller end to avoid damaging the new boot.

Great video! Considering a reboot or a full replacement, I reckon keeping the OEM axle with a boot replacement is my best bet. Cheers for the informative video!!

Thanks for the kind words. No worries, happy to help. You will definitely save a lot of money doing it yourself! And yes a roboot is probably all you need. Packing some fresh grease in there will give it a new lease of life provided that your bearings seem ok.
