The new body harness is a universal one we got off of eBay for $300 (most likely for a C10/Chevy). The engine harness is the Summit EFI one that came with the EFI kit. The EFI kit was roughly $900 brand new.
Can u tell me what that orange wire goes to where the harness plugs into alternator? I have a 1981 f150 that is running 18 amps wide open .I'm so upset.i it fried the ignition module, I changedvthat,thebvoltage regulator again and still problems.but I remember looking at that wiring harness when I got the truck at first and seeing a orange wire hanging down. I let a mechanic look at it and no luck ,twice.a lot of money later the guy that sold it to me said that mechanic did something wrong. He said find out about that orange wire. Any help would be a miricle. Thank you.
Very informative. What wiring harness did you source for this? 86 harnesses seem to be very and far between.
