Thanks for another educational video sir, I have a question for you, if I heard you right, you said we need to do all of this with the amplifier gain set to minimum, right, after all of the voltage limits have been set accordingly, do we adjust the gain or we leave it where it is and if we do adjust the amplifier's gain, won't we be introducing a clipping signal, please accept this question from a car audio noob 😊
Just a heads up, I'm sure you realize, You've just shown everyone how to set up the amplifier with no "gain overlap". I wouldn't be afraid to feed it 3v (+3.5db) in. (although I will argue against it later below) Depends on how you tune as well, Some people throw in a bit of boosting here and there. So if you set it up "zeroed" like shown here, I would feel safe having spots with 3-5db boosted. if needed. And call that your "overlap". On the other end, If you haven't boosted, and nothing is above "zero" You probably DO want to let the channel hit that 3v for some overlap.. BUT REALLY If your amp has decent enough power, and the speakers are screaming, and you are satisfied with the power, Go ahead turn it down! And go relax! because You'll never clip. Lower noise floor. Happy days 😘😘 "Gain Structure" blah blah blah
Can you share any link to a video or any material where difference in sound quality can be understood with high level signal vs non amplified input into amplifier.
Hi, do you think a budget friendly dsp like this or other you tested could get down with a much more expensive one lile Helix/ESX on an entry/medium level EMMA SQ category? Not talking about the unlimited and super expensive systems. Thanks
@@RAW-CAt so, actually the sound details the processors inside are providing, is not lacking too much...I've red all emma rules, but there is nothing specified for details of the music, just technicals. I know judges are biased too from what i've red..
Signal quality wise they are similar, however EZY DSP has 4V out, where Alpine only 2.7V and the EZY is slightly cleaner. That is the biggest difference between them. The other thing is that Alpine does not have any all pass filters. Software and functionality is identical.

@@RAW-CAt Those D4s do not have a Volume Ctrl if I'm not mistaken. VC. Like the Aerospace 8-12 (Mosconi) DSP. The Mosconi has the wired control to level master volume, sub, and of course cover points, eq, and time. I cannot confirm. I do not own either. What about the Helix or JL DSPs?
@@RAW-CAt oh, got it, thx. I am still in the design phase. Another option is using the Astell&Kern hires DAP, the SP3000 as VC. The problem would still not have drivers position real-time Ctrl. for anything else. The DM-810 Audio Ctrl is another option. It’s car audio. Tuning a system is easier than being decisive on the gear.

Yes, if you will increase the gain, you will clip. The gains on the amplifier have to be all the way down.

What method do you use to set ur gains on amp? What if your source of music is a dap how would you go about setting your amps gains? Thank you
I don't play with the gains. My gains are always down on my amps. I Increase them only if I am missing overall volume.
