Wish it was an axle mounted servo and used hexes instead of Phillips head. Also, I feel like the motor mounts a little low and hits the links on the rock van.
Honestly this seems like it performs better than all of the competition out of the box. They do really have a great platform. Hope they keep expanding it, and that the upgrade market grows.
This looks cool! to bad they used screws to hold the body on. It ran very good, I like the lights on it and that they used the soft white and not those bright bluish colored ones.
Hi Tony! I have the original hobby plus cr24 and cr18 and I loved them. While they weren't really heavy with scale details they performed fantastic right out of the box. Two of the things that was great right out of the box on them were the servo and the tires. I've never had soft and sticky tires on any of my other RTR's that were as good including my Axial rigs, who's tires were replaced immediately. The servos were nice and fast and strong for an RTR's as well, much like the upgrade ones we put into the Axial rigs. I absolutely love the look and scale details of this new one! Might have to add it to my collection, I really do wish they made it with a hinged body though! 🤣 Not that big of a deal though. Great video man, and I hope you are doing well my friend! 💯🤜🤛😁👍
You are a good friend! We are sold out again, but should have them again very soon. They’ve been on order for a few weeks. Thought they’d arrive before I sold out, but there was a huge influx of orders for them recently
Thank you for the informative review... That thing is pretty freaking cool and I do look the slow crawl. I really think it's going to be on my wish list for sure. Not sure what my 2nd RC is going to be, but this one in now on the list.
I was just about to buy one, but then i saw the battery conector wich really confused me as it seems to be a different one as the scx24? Is it like that and are there adapters so i can charge the battery with a proper charger and not the usb cable included?
I like the aluminum shocks, the ones for the CR18 bolt right on and are longer then the stock ones. The front passenger side does seem to bind a little but wasn't an issue while driving. I got them from Amain so shipping was fast.
I've been happy with my Harvest kit, it'd be nice to see some more information on upgrades or crossovers. Not a huge fan of the rock van but I saw these a week or so ago and it peaked my interest. Thanks for the video

These guys got it going on with these trucks. I will be getting a rock van, and it will be painted like the a team’s van

My Rock Van should be here in a few days. Looking forward to crawling that rig...
As always appreciate you sharing Tony, catch you on the next one

Mighty Handy FTW!
About to order another. Friends keep wanting them and I keep giving them 😂🤷🏼♂️

@@CCxRC I was impressed with the quality of the blades / tips for the price. Hard to beat!
Glad those orders are coming in 👊🏼👊🏼
Love to see one with a chassis mounted servo with 3 link up front finally made might have to pick one up
I dig it. Wish it had hexes, but it is decent out of the box for the price
That thing is definitely good looking 👀 I dig it would be cool to see more trucks that style

I have one on the way!
Nice!!

These guys have all the best marketing lines - "buttery smooth throttle respond".
I love mine!
if you figure out how to make a body hinge then I would definitly consider buying.

Fair RC just did an interview with the founder of HobbyPlus and he showed upgrades
@@CCxRC good news, thanks for the heads up.🤜🏻
Hello Tony, super cool rig. Just kind of weird no headlights just in the bumper other than that I like it dang it 👍👍😎
Does seem like it’s toy grade , with the gold QC passed sticker on it
Super rad little truck wish the body had a better mounting system
Does anyone thing the FMS fcx24 2speed transmission will work in the CR18p trail hunter?
Thinking I'll try and get that body off to make a front flip up mount somehow 🤔
That would be cool
@@CCxRC ya man cab over for the win lol
is the battery the same as the cr18?
It is the same plug, but I think different dimensions. The CR18 were wider and flatter I believe
@@CCxRC thanks for that buddy.just got an extra 6 batts for the 18,but now i want 1 of these, was hoping the batts cud be used! damn it
knowing most people end up doing magnet mounts for bodies its about time the manufacturers of RC's need to look into making their stuff that way imho
I feel like the traxxas solution is actually better than magnets.
I don’t like most magnet mounts. I like hidden clips
These scales are is out they definitely need to be universal size
Let me get that Pete n the background 😅
I'd put scx24 components in that rig.
Not my fav looking body but decent modulation and control.
