Art curator Robert Storr moderates a discussion with Richard Tuttle about his art and artistic practice, Tuttle, known for his small scale, minimalist pieces, gives a presentation of his work, including 1st Paper Octagonal (1970) and examples from his Wire Pieces (ca. 1972) and Twenty Floor Drawings (1989) series. Tuttle discusses his technique, the scale of his works, and the feelings that his pieces evoke in him. Following his presentation, he and Storr engage in a moderated discussion. They examine the evolution of Tuttle’s scale in his art, the range of mediums he works with, and the conceptual underpinnings of his designs. The discussion is followed with questions from the audience.
