Thank you so much for sharing. I will likely not be able to see the exhibit in person, but this little glimpse has truly inspired me. Some of the pieces, & the skill involved in their creation, took my breath away!
Me too, living in Aotearoa and unlikely to be wealthy enough to travel to see this it was wonderful to experience some of it... Thank you.
Fabulous! This deserves to be a full length documentary so that everyone can experience the wealth of this collection.
I won't get a chance to see the exhibit, so thank you very much for this UA-cam video. Sounds magnificent.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you Mr. Bolton for treating fashion with the respect and erudition it deserves.
Andrew Bolton's voice is soothing to hear. It's nice that the gentleman himself narrates the presentation.
And the words he use to describe the pieces are on point. Such great talent
Mr Andrew Bolton is certainly the most impressive museum curator on earth!
His visionary work is truly magnificent.
The amount of research he does for every exhibition is beyond belief.
What a talent!
be ready for a 2-hour wait in line but it's absolutely worth it, will be visiting again soon
Makes me want to hop on a plane!
How long it takes to you see it complete once inside? (the wait line its normal, last year was same, we use that time to see the other galleries) Thanks!
@@anabellepp about 30-40 minutes
@@natashapbooks Thank you so much! can't wait! ♡⭐
I see Nicki's dress inspo
I feel like this video should have been showed to all of the attendees to help them understand the assignment... appreciate the complex curation and inclusion of all the senses in this exhibit. Thank you for the in depth look.
This video of the exhibit seems more comprehensive than other years, I really appreciate that
What an extraordinary exhibition, I wish I could see it in person.
im in love with this video. reminds you the work the met does to keep the history of clothing alive and well.
That was so interesting and informative. Please make this annual ritual.
There are a few places in our world's timeline which i sincerely wish i could be present. This exhibition is one of those times. Garments and fheir curstion is something which is very close to my heart. I still have my grandmother's wedding sari from 1940 amongst other things. I convey my heartfelt regards and thanks to the MET and Mr. Bolton for this insightful and amazing video. Best wishes and congratulations for the successful exhibition. Love from India.
Yes please, a full length doco would be great for the bulk of us around the world who won't see it in person. So beautiful, so much to learn. I guess there'll be a coffee table book? Also costly, but at least libraries might be encouraged to buy it.
Thank you very much for posting this. Fabulous and fantastical exhibit/theme!!
Thank You !!! This is FANTASTIC !!!! Thank You Mr. Bolton and The MET.
I'm absolutely in awe watching this exhibition...and this is not even half of it! Well done, Andrew and the team for putting this together. I wish I could have the honor of seeing this in person. ❤
Thank you!
Videos like this need to be released before the Met Gala.
world class content
Very interesting and beautiful exhibition.
thank you Andrew for the great personal tour of the exhibit!
I wish I could visit the met. What a beautiful tour, and the host kept me captivated. 😊
Thrilled to know every one of these works or art are forever carefully curated so that's there's ZERO chance it'll end up on a "celebrity" at the Met Gala.
yeah right. Like the Marilyn Monroe dress Kim wore that was destroyed???
Hoping The Metropolitan Museum of Art has a bit more integrity than Ripley's Believe It or Not LOL

That’s Ripley’s Believe It or Not. They’re not a museum. It’s more of a road side attraction.
@@henrylivingstone2800 does it matter...money talks...
Very nice to give these works of art the recognition they deserve and to let the world see them.
That’s Alexander McQueen’s favourite butterfly gown that’s my favourite gown and it looks like 1 million butterflies wearing that outfit
This was so beautiful
I just wish I was able to visit to see this. What absolute beautiful pieces. And what critical work the Costume Museum does. Seeing the materials and garments, breathtaking. And the tour commentary is so interesting. Amazing exhibition. Thank you ❤
Looks beautiful.
Thank you so much for this. Again I watched at 75% speed on a big screen so that the material would be visible longer; I like to zoom in on detail. I appreciate that in the video the camera moves so that we see more than static photos, so to speak. Lucky are those who can walk the galleries. 🤠
Can't wait to witness it in person!
Wow. Incredible show. Thank you!
I would love to see some of the more modern dresses in the photographs of the models who surely modeled them, when they were first presented. Absolutely beautiful! Thank you!
Another, once in a lifetime creation by the genius Andrew Bolton ! What an incredible exhibit, on so many levels. This guy is a one of a kind human that has no equal ! { 🌹but i'm beside myself on how Alexander McQueen's Rose Dress was absent, since it is a monster of creativity🌹 }
Very beautiful and thoughtful display of dresses within the collection. Wonderful stories for each dress.
This is amazing, just thinking about the galas in the 1800, thats why fashion is so important
I was going to say something critical in the previous video-so glad I saw this second video of actual exhibit! Now I get what they were aiming for. Bravo and Brava!
Absolutely amazing ♥️🖤♥️💜💜💋
Wow! Surely, invitees to the Met Gala had a preview of this exhibit. I'm surprised at how few of the showcased guests took inspiration from these garments! Kudos to Nicki Minaj, her inspiration was on point!
They do not get a preview. Plus the stylists and designers are the ones that come up with the ideas. The artists just say yes or no.
saving up for a trip to new york, the met is on my list of must visit, i mean top of my list.
Effie Trinket's butterfly dress💛🦋
Marvelous curatorial work.
It's so interesting exhibition. I wish I could visit it, but I can't. Thank you for this video!
Absolutely stunning thank you for sharing. Wish I could see it in person

So happy I got to see these beauties in person a few days ago
Crying so badly, this is sooo beautiful!!
Right now I wish I lived in New York! this is so amazingly beautiful! Would love to see it in person unfortunately i live in another country. So appreciative that this video was made. The history of some of the pieces is so incredible.

Such beauty! What immense talent! Wish I could visit. Thank you for sharing this video with us. ❤❤❤
This is just like a dream. A beautiful magical dream.
Exquisite.
Oh,what i wouldn't give to be able to wear one of these marvelous confections ! All stunning...
thoughtful and astounding -- wonderful to see this separated by an ocean
Can't wait to see the exhibit this summer!
Это прекрасно 👍 Великолепно решены экспозиционные технологии.
So beautiful! I wish I could work at The Met so that I can look at this forever even if it means just sweeping the floor.
Wow! What a gorgeous exhibit. I'm slated to do a performance in NYC and I'm gonna make sure to add this to my itinerary and come here for a whole day to view everything! I love the Met
phenominal emerssive exhibition such creativity in the presentation of the garments and their layout - excellent tour, thank you!
FABULOUS!!
Absolutly beautiful!!
This video should have been released before the Met Gala, most celebrities seemed clueless about the theme, sleeping beauties, or garden of time !
WoW!!!👌
Magnificent
Fascinating. Thank you for sharing.

I will not ever get there. This is the next best thing. 🙏
BEAUTIFUL!!!❤❤❤
I really enjoyed this.
This was wonderful.
2024 Met guests should pay a visit!
incredible!
Well this was fantastic
This is what fashion should be! Not a splatter of the paint, then call it a day.
i love this...
stunning
Beautiful.
The mermaid bride was breath taking
can you post a full length tour and explanation of the exhibit when it’s gone? i’m very inspired and can’t go to new york at this time…💜
Thank you so much for sharing! Unfortunately I won't get a chance to see this exhibition. It would be fantastic if you could add subtitles in other languages apart from English. I really would like to share this video with those who don't speak English. Thanks anyway.
i love the exhibition sooo much. shame that we can't see rahul mishra's collection in the met cuz he is the epitome of nature in clothes. but anyway i feel super blessed to see these collections.
Bravo
I so hope I get to visit this
A one of Dress in Museum Nature

Absolutely beautiful. A shame that John Galliano's exhibition was cancelled last minute tho and they quickly came up with this archive idea
Chic. I was attending last years special event and exhibition.
When you think Met Gala looks, this is the theme where I think Kourtney K.'s Thom Browne suit dress was spot on. In a time of fast-fashion and being eco-friendly, I wish someone would have worn a more destroyed version of it.
Seasons of mother Gaia.
