Extending the 505 DUNDAS east of Broadview to the Gerrard Station on the Ontario Line should be done. We see trams in Europe use narrow streets, even using a cobblestone right-of-way with only one lane for motor vehicles. When the 40 JUNCTION bus replaced the streetcars in the west end, ridership fell. It would likely increase with replacing the buses with streetcars all to way to loop at Scarlett Road, St. Clair and Jane.
When the Ontario Line open opens, we could see connections at Exhibition Station with the 29 DUFFERIN bus, the 63 OSSINGTON bus, the 509 HARBOURFRONT streetcar, and the 511 BATHURST streetcar routes. I can see them extending the streetcar tracks on Dufferin Street north of Queen Street West to Dundas Street West. Then we could have a new streetcar route 5xx from Dundas West Station (or loop at Scarlett, St. Clair, and Jane replacing the 40 JUNCTION-DUNDAS WEST bus) along Dundas Street West to Dufferin Street, then south on Dufferin Street to Exhibition Station. This streetcar could run "express" on Dufferin Street, leaving the 29 DUFFERIN bus to handle the local service. The new streetcar route 5xx could be a feeder to the Ontario Line's west-end, just like the Gerrard Station in the east-centre for the 505.
Gonna add a couple of addendum's here that didn't make it into the video: 1) The tracks along Dundas Street West actually extended a bit beyond Runnymede Road but went nowhere as they were for a planned but unbuilt carhouse in the vicinity. I am not sure if the tracks were a completely new installation or if they were the same ones used by the TSR/TYR during the time of the LAMBTON Streetcar. 2) After the BAY Streetcar was abolished some DUNDAS cars would operate its old route to the Ferry Docks until 1965.
The Queens Quay LRT will be covered in my video about the 509 Harbourfront although there are still a couple more routes to cover before I get there (506 CARLTON and 508 LAKE SHORE).
That will be interesting, as there is a lot of history on the Queens Quay including CN rail spur line services to the Malt factory at Bathurst and Parliament Street
TTC not understanding the concept of induced demand. Or as they say, you can't determine the need to build a bridge by the number of people who swim across the river. In conclusion, the Junction is such a great neighborhood... pity that it can't have a solid reliable streetcar line running thru it.

The 40 Junction has such low ridership because it's only a 30 minute to hourly route

And now the name "Dundas" has fallen out of political favour and the street will soon be renamed, now doubt along with the streetcar line.
Not really as Dundas street itself isn't named after that person but rather is a scottish gaelic word meaning "hillside" or something to that effect
