This is one of the best how to videos I've ever seen. Super simple and straight to the point without two minutes of blabbering at the beginning, well done!

    Btw,
    I've installed a larger battery, CR2032.
It's a little bit tight, tho will last longer.

You're Welcome! I wouldn't recommend using a larger battery than is intended though

I recently bought a used Mazda 6 (2017) from a dealer and when I opened up the remote fob after getting a warning message on the car dashboard, it had a CR2032 installed by the previous owner. (or the dealer). I had a new CR2025 ready to go, so I stuck it in, but no response from the fob. I put the old battery back in and all worked fine. So as I also had a CR2032 handy, I stuck that in and the fob has continued to work fine. Maybe the larger size of the CR2032 had made the CR2025 a bit loose inside the unit, but whatever the issue, seems the CR2032 is fine.

Hey new here with my 2014 Mazda 6 GT. Lost keyfob 1 and broke fob 2. Changed battery, and tried touching push start with fob trick but car won't start. Push start turns green and no key lights up so had to tow. Dealers say I need 2 fobs for $600+!!! I used my last $600 when I put gas last week😒 What do I do? Btw what is the inside of the fob supposed to look like? There is just a red rubber thing. Help.

If the fob is broken changing the battery is not going to help - An automotive locksmith should be cheaper than the dealer but it will still be a substantial cost to replace two fobs if all are lost. You can see the inside of the fob in this video
