I hope you are all having a lovely day thus far! So this week's video is all about the best and worst manufacturers in the figure community. Of course I couldn't get to all of them but I hope I covered quite a few of them. I made this video as one of you requested this video so I hope you enjoy it! I know GwynCollects has done a video like this and although I didn't get the idea from her, I feel it only fair to link her stuff since she did it first! I do hope mine isn't too similar (I watched her video back in 2021 so I don't recall her words and stuff so I have no idea haha) but anyway, I hope you enjoy it! Hi Megan! Wow, it really blows my mind just how similarly we think when it comes to figures. It’s really crazy. As you spoke I was nodding thinking, “Yep! Agreed! Good point!” Haha. Kotobukiya is my all time favorite as well. I love the fact that their figures are so affordable and that that make so many male characters. I also love just how much they support certain lines. Their Pokémon, Demon Slayer, and Jujutsu Kaisen lines are amazing.

I've been collecting for 8 years and despite what most people think about FOTS/B'full I still like them. Yes, their quality control is not on par with most companies but their sculpts are really top tier stunning considering they make fairly simple-pose figures. I'm not going to deny that I received broken figures; But it's waaaaaay less common than what people make it seem. I have 18 figures from them and only 2 had arrived broken ever since then. And even though the damage wasn't as big that once put back together it's extremely difficult to notice. FOTS/B'full is the only company that are actually MADE IN JAPAN as opposed to the other manufacturers based in Japan but their figures are made in China. I definitely agree this brand shouldn't be for someone starting collecting but rather someone who wants to expand their collection even further and step into the original characters territory. Kind of like Skytube & Native which they make fantastic figures for their price range.

Good smile also has a ton of different lines of figures which probably makes them a heavy favorite since they have some for everyone

You did my video request!!! 💜😱💜 I love hearing about your experiences with the figure companies. My scale collection is small, right now I have 3 from Kotobukiya, 1 from Kadokawa, 1 from Phat, and 1 from Revolve. This has given me ideas about companies to order from in the future.
Also, I have such mixed feelings about Kotobukiya. I think the faces on my tree stump Levi and my Ed don’t look like the prototype (Levi’s is only a little off), and the peg on my Eren doesn’t fit well. BUT they’re so affordable and I love their character choices, so I know I’ll keep ordering from them. Hopefully my Mikasa and Rengoku turn out well. 🤞I’m really happy with my other scales, and I would order from those companies again.

Yeah Koto faces are a bit touch and go but when they get the face right, they really do a great job and like you said they are so affordable! 💕 Mikasa from what I've seen looks beautiful and in my opinion rengoku is perfect but I'm pretty biased 😂😂

Agree on pretty much all of the points! I think Estream's biggest problem is just their pricing, if they were more reasonable in terms of price I think more people would look at them favorably! (and maybe if they didn't say "use a hair dryer") lol. Great video! Can't wait for part two! ;)

Great list - Myethos is my current favourite (with 8 of their figures) then GoodSmile.
If there is just one thing I might nitpick on Myethos, would be their packaging… not so much on the aesthetic side, but rather the thin layer of plastic really do not exude much confidence when shipment is involved. Most of my Myethos figures came double boxed - which is also probably a genuine concern with the distributors. Nevertheless, I have full faith that Myethos cut back on such costs to give more savings to us consumers.

Oh I didn't know the packaging seemed not too protective (I don't own a myethos figure yet so I haven't had experience with that side) but thank you so much for sharing! This is really helpful ✨ at least the retailers seem to double pack them to ensure their safety at the very least 😅

People don't really seem to mention Alphamax but I rate them right up there with Alter. The sculpts and paint are spot on and the figures just look great.
In general I would agree about all what you said. Well, with minor differences. But I wouldn't praise to much GSC. Their prices nowadays are leaning towards pricier (Alter like). but at the same time I don't find them on exactly the same niveau. That's it. Liked watching this one! See ya!
GSC is super expensive (I think I mentioned that? I forget 😂) I'm quite surprised by their pricing sometimes tbh so I definitely understand where you're coming from! Ah yay so glad you enjoyed it! ✨
I have all 6 Alter Free! Figures. They all have smooth texture like skin, if you touch the skin areas. Alter really know how to do their job.
Kotobukiya is my favourite by far. I Think they are the most versatile when it comes to characters and styles. I mean they have done so much that there is something for everybody. And they don't only do Anime or Manga Characters which is very refreshing and also do a lot of Characters from Western Shows and stuff.
With Goodsmile I kinda have to disagree a little bit. Although everything you said might be true for their scale figures I don't think it is the same with their cheaper figures. At least lately I personally have experienced more and more Quality issues with nendoroids. I also think that their Popup Parade line has a lot of inconsistencies with their sculpts. I think that a lot of times faces look way off with Popup parades. For example the Haikyu and some of the jjk figures for example.

I like Stronger/Plus One as manufacturers as they do deliver equally or higher than alters quality. I have their fate racing figures and wow 👌🏻

One thing I'd like to add to the list is APEX. They're relatively new company as well and their quality is absolutely amazing for the prices (which tend to be a bit lower than other companies). The sculpts are really clean and paint job immaculate. They also put a lot of effort to the boxes and the figures often come with something extra, like an illustration, hologram etc. Quickly growing to be one of my favourites!
Apex does look amazing! They have put out some really wonderful figures lately so I definitely see why they're becoming a favourite!
Having mostly female figures is not what i call a con if i may be honest i too have a lot of male figures.
Expensive and broken figures are definitly a con i absolutly 100% agree with you.
