This was the very first crochet project that I worked on, and it turned out pretty good thought the sides were a mess. hi, thank you so much for the tutorial, really easy to follow instructions and straight to the point!! can i just ask, when we’re halfway through a round and reach the end of the row, what exactly do we do? are we supposed to slip stitch and chain 1 as well or work half double crochets around it?
@@VivCrochets Thank you for your reply. However, just to make sure, we do that only in round 1. The rest of the rounds until we finish should have only one side with double crochet and a slip stitch. Correct?
Not exactly! We’re working in a sort of spiral. So once you finish one round (an entire circle) you slip stitch, and start the next round. Next round you work all the way around in a circle again
I love the tutorial but when I make the bag the starting side (the one you slit stick into) is slanted out. Did anyone else get this problem I think I did something wrong I just don’t know what.
if your using a more bulky yarn or just a thicker one i recommend a 5.5 mm a 6 mm 6.5 mm or a 7 mm depending on the size of your yarn you could even use bigger ones
And other question! … are we supposed to skip the first stitch every time we start a new round and are we also to do the double stitch twice in the first hole we’re starting with every time ? I hope this makes sense
Hi! Been working on this project and I'm having a bit of trouble with it...the angle on one end of the bag is more steeper than the other end. Trying to figure out whats going wrong but I was wondering: how many stiches are you supposed to have once you've completed the second round? I think that'll help me out.
Mine keeps on increasing on one side and i I don't know what to do. Also do we have to half double crochet in the same stitch we did the slip stitch??😢
hi! my bag is getting wider as i add more rounds and i think that i may accidentally be increasing cuz i'm having trouble with figuring out the end and the start of each round. any tips? thanks for the tutorial btw :)
Hello! Yes, it sounds like you’re increasing. It can really helpful to mark where your first stitch is! So after you chain, do your first half double crochet, then put a marker (I use a bobby pin) in the V of that first stitch. At the end of the round, count your stitches. When it’s the same number as your first round, slip stitch into that V with the stitch marker and do your first stitch into that same V and move your stitch marker
thank you sm! this is veryy helpful btw if u don't mind answering, is there something wrong if my slip stiches are in a straight line and not slanting like yours?
